Axolotl GREAT INSURANCE, BC/BS
Axolotl carries BS/BC with very great rates and coverage!
Axolotl GREAT INSURANCE
Axolotl has a great insurance plan with very competitive prices.
Axolotl GREAT INSURANCE, BC/BS
Single plan $52 up to $150 for family bimonthly.  They pay for vision.  Dental ranges from $3 to 13 bimonthly.
Axolotl insurance questions
Can somebody tell me if you go to work for Axolotl, how soon the insurance kicks in?  Is it good insurance?  Also curious if anybody willing to tell ballpark pay scale for Rad.
Axolotl has insurance that starts the first day of the
month are you are hired, so if you were hired today, your insurance would start December 1.  Premiums reasonable.  The pre-existing situation usually isn't an issue if you have had continuous insurance.  Apply via website.
Axolotl has great affordable insurance!
Their rates are better than any MT company that I know of.

90 days for insurance
I just started with KS and am sure it is 90 days before your insurance kicks in.  I just looked through the paperwork I have though and I see nothing in writing to back up my memory.  I'm still trying to decide if I want to do COBRA or chance it for 3 months.  I have my meds all stocked up to last (did the 90-day mail order).
insurance in under 90 days?
any companies out there starting health benefits for FTEs earlier than 90 days? i know some were 30 a while back, but can't recall now. thanks in advance!
Axolotl insurance. They have great rates but what is the coverage
like?  Can anyone tell me what insurance company they use and what your experience has been?  TIA
Which co has insurance that kicks in after 30 days?
I can't remember.
I believe it's 90 days...I got my insurance benefits (sm)
after 90 days.
Axolotl insurance is very reasonable. Unfortunately, I did not pass the testing with 14 years exp.
I'm not sure what my problem was. I thought the transcription testing was easy but apparently my headphones are just an awful quality because I just did not hear what it actually was on some parts of the test.  In any event, obviously people have and do pass their tests. I was in the same situation. I needed affordable insurance and Axolotl was very reasonable, I want to say like $300 a month for family so I was pretty bummed when I did not pass the test but best wishes on whatever you decide.
Axolotl and Spheris supposedly start insurance early, too. nm

When does the insurance at Precyse kick in? Is it 90 days? nm

2 weekend days a month, no insurance
Statutory employee, not IC. I think their minimum for full-time (paid a better line rate if full-time) is 700 lines a day, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that. You pay long distance (most accounts). My accounts are heavy ESL.
Most places insurance kicks in after 90 days (nm)

How much are single insurance rates???? Webmedx, Axolotl, Keystrokes, TT, Transend?
Thanks for the info!
You have to wait 90 days to quality for insurance and the other benefits. sm

There are 3 different plans for coverage -- basic, choice, and ultimate, I think -- and you choose which one is right for you. I do not have the paperwork handy, but it seems like good coverage at a reasonable price (single coverage, don't really remember about family), and you can also opt for dental and vision insurance.  You are right, though, the premium is deducted every 2 weeks.

After 90 days full time, you are eligible for health insurance, 401k, Aflac, sm
and life insurance. One year for PTO. Direct deposit right away.

I am happy at Keystrokes, and happy with the benefits. The insurance is a little high, but my husband has a union job and it would cost us more to have him carry all of us.

The HappyKeystrokes poster seems to give a lot of misinformation. I have as much work as I can handle, but I do not type 350 lph or whatever amount she/he claims. I average 200 lph, up a little some days, down a little other days, but that depends on the doctors dictating, my motivation for the day, etc. Spring is the worst as I have hayfever and headphones bother my ears right now.

My check is right, is on time and is direct deposited. My taxes withheld are correct and SS has been paid (unlike somewhere else I worked that messed up my SS and did take out for state taxes). My lead is supportive and I think the company cares about their employees. I am happy with Keystrokes and cringe when I see posts like Happy Keystroker writes, which make us all look like Stepford Wives. This is a job, just with a company that I like working for.

I wanted to paint a more realistic picture.
That is what I just said. !0 days PTO, period. That includes vacation, sick days and personal days
They should have paid holidays so that you are paid if you take off. Also should inculde extra hours for sick days and personal days.

That annual raise of .002 is kind of a joke especially when at the same time they upped the minimum line requirement from 10,000 lines to 12,000 lines.

OSi just does not have the qualified people in management positions that I wish to work for.

I am glad that you are happy at OSi and all is working out for you. Their dishonesty and the way they treat people just does not work for me.

Of course they can get by cheaply by hiring unqualified people so that is very good for the owners.
AXOLOTL - A GREAT COMPANY WITH GREAT INSURANCE
Axolotl has AWESOME, AFFORDABLE insurance.  Family plan medical and dental costs a little over $300.00 MONTHLY.  They also pay for family plan vision in its entirety.  STD, LTD, 401K with match and flex spending account, great PTO and HOLIDAY pay.  OH and paid downtime in the case you run out of work, which doesn't happen often!!!
You bill 30 days behind, and they snail mail it so it's late - about 40 days from invoice
No way jose - they even messed up their direct deposit payments
Maybe she/he works 14 hour days/7 days a week? nm

401k funds are protected by govt insurance similar to the insurance
that banks have (FDIC). It is safe even if the company goes under.
The insurance cost is double for Transcend but insurance probably doesn't factor in for her.
I have heard more good things about Axolotl than Transcend, although it seems Axolotl may be less flexible with your schedule and someone told me that QA was pretty strict, which should not matter either if you have worked for a hospital and know what your QA score is.
Would that be 5 business days or 5 regular days?
So when are we going to be paid this time around since you're so knowledgable?

Sorry, but for some of us a day or 2 actually makes a difference.
Most want 20 hours over 5 days, but it could be more, or it could be spread over 4 days. nm

Correction - TH has 5 PTO days 1st year/10 days 2nd yr

It is true. Any job has its good days and bad days.
Perhaps you'd like to just keep your old job and try this one out. Just because a poster here is crabbing about it, or even if as in the past there have been negative posts, odds are that there are very happy people who don't even post or know that this board exists. As Alice says. Everything is relative. The fact that this company is hiring and pays may be a place which is a blessing. As opposed to digging ditches on day labor for example. Or somebody might prefer digging ditches. This is just an example. Sometimes we who are employable, even though we don't make as much as we used to in this business, or as much as we would like to, we still if working at home do not pay for gas to go to work, career clothes, deal with office politics, have to look at a boss who writes us up if we are a minute late, etcetera. I don't make half as much as I used to, but I don't send my 3 children to day care which by the way saves us money. SO I remind my husband I am worth that in addition to my salary if I had a job outside. No job is perfect. I am not even sure if Focus is any good or not, I have not worked there. But if one poster says there are good days and bad, I say that is the most honest answer you are going to get anywhere, and if you need a job badly, how is it to hurt trying it out, until you know for sure for yourself? THanks for listening. But sometimes this board gets to be a bit much with the agendas of people railing on other people like the OP here who just wanted all opinions instead of just one side. Balance is always great. And, if things seem lop-sided, then it is a good thing to seek out both sides. IMHO.
I think they would. Those are good days for 10-hour days. sm
I have a set schedule but it is Tues-Sat and it works well for me. It wouldn't hurt to ask!
90 days is correct. 3 days off 1st year, 10 during 2nd.

The insurance plan in my opinion is excellent insurance. I am not sure if it will change when it'
time to renew or not. I really hope not but I know that a lot of companies change every year in an effort to keep costs down because most insurance companies start raising rates after you have been with them a year. The insurance is Great West and they also have excellent dental and vision plans. I believe the cost is less than $70 a pay period for the employee.
Insurance sucks compared to my old insurance... sm
The insurance seems like they don't want to cover anything, even simple prescriptions I used to pay 4 or 10 dollars on I now pay 20 to 43 dollars.  I like the company/people so far, just don't like the insurance.
Were the 2 days weekend days? sm
They expect everyone to work a weekend day. Their definition of team player is to actually work 6 or 7 days a week. One might consider it if the pay was there & she gave out some decent work. It is the ideal place to work if you are a workaholic with no life.
11 days is more than you would get inhouse...usually 10 days.
We have the convenience of working at home and yet you want MORE than what inhouse positions offer?

Ask if those are calendar days or biz days too nm

Insurance Questions: Can you tell me what you pay for insurance through your

MTSO, which MTSO it is and whether the coverage is decent?  I currently pay $92.00 a pay period for decent coverage but am trying to figure out if I am getting a good deal or if I could do better elsewhere.

TIA.

I cannot believe that they are still in business. I know that they have an office in Tampa. Not sure how they are doing. Keep doing your research/investigation on this company.

Any info on this company, any feed back please.

When I worked for them a year ago, their typing platform was slooooooooooooow. I am a very fast typist, and I very seldom could reach my line count with them. I had to wait 3 minutes or more (depending on the length of the report)for a report to send to the hospital, and could not start a new report until that one was sent. Spent a lot of time playing Solitaire on my computer. If you are fast, you will be extremely frustrated.

Anyone ever hear of this company?  I am considering and any information appreciated
