Advanced in Oregon???

Posted By: You have to work set days. It is IC. on 2008-10-27
In Reply to: Hi! I know they seem like a very good company....sm - Cyndie

They run out of work on accounts, and then expect you to pick up and just learn a new one on a moment's notice.  You have to have MSN messenger and be accountable if you need to step out and give them notice if you're not working a particular day that you have to commit to working (they leave that out until you are all signed on and set-up).  The platform is clunky.  The recruiter is nice at first, of course, aren't they all?  Then, you get to working and the accounts run out.     This was my experience.  I dropped 'em; IC to me equals freedom, not chained to the desk.  Sorry...

Yes, Advanced is in Oregon.
I think it is 600 lines a day three days per week for part-time, but I am not sure about full-time.  IC position.  I think you do have to be on an instant messenger though.
Advanced Transcription, Inc, out of Oregon?
Noticed they had a posting on MTJobs looking for ICs. Did a search but "advanced transcription" is hard to find both here and in search engines without it being about schools. Anyone with experience? Pay on time? Steady work? Etc?

I'm thinking of applying but I always like to hear about companies first.

TIA

Need on Advanced Transcription out of Oregon...SM
Wondering if they have flexible shifts or if you have to stick to a certain timeframe everyday, and whether or not you can just do clinic work or if they require the big 4.

Any other info such as how you liked the job, etc., would be great, too.
Are you asking about Advanced Transcription in Oregon?

Advanced Transcription out of Oregon
They ask that you give them which 3 days of the week you'll be working for part-time though, but the TAT is 24 hours.  You may want to check them out.  www.advancedtx.com I think is the site.
NEMT and Advanced in Oregon...
are two I'm familiar with and would recommend either... NEMT I believe is hiring, saw their ad not long ago. Feel free to email me with specific questions if you'd like. Good luck!
I did work for Advanced in Oregon

You have to tell them which days you'll be working and have to e-mail them if you cannot stick to your schedule and if you are a no show (which is not in my opinon IC work), then they'll terminate you.

Advanced uses Iscriptor and it's clunky.  They run out of work and switch you to another account with a large learning curve.  You are also monitored on messenger.

Think you have the wrong Advanced Transcription. This one is in Oregon..

Scratching my head on this one...

If you were one of the recent applicants for Advanced Transcription in Oregon ...SM
Are any of you still hearing back or is the hiring over, I wonder? I sent my application in but pretty late by the time I saw the message.

If any of you have started already, how do you like it? Are they really that flexible that you just log on and work when you want as long as you meet a minimum number of lines a week? How does the QA work...what if you have blanks?

I guess any info would be appreciated, even though I'm probably not going to get in on it this time around, it seems.

Thanks.
Does Advanced Transcription in Oregon offer flexible shifts? Do you have to do set schedule? NM

The one in Oregon

appreciate any info

Found one in Oregon but not NJ
The one in Oregon looks like (at least on the doc side) to use Intrascript.  I would not recommend this platform at all.  It is a big fat pain and slooooooow.  If it is web based, that has a tendency to be faster, but the installed program version is very slow even on a brand new computer system.
Is this the NJ or the Oregon location? nm

Denmed Transcription out of Salem, Oregon.. Anyone??

Not sure if you ever got a reply back to your posted question about DENMED.

DENMED is a Salem, Oregon MT business that in my biased opinion is GREAT.  Not only do they treat their staff honestly and fairly (yes I did work for them) but they also treat their clientele with the utmost respect.  They handle both large and small accounts.  Hope this helps.  I have included a link to their website.

A 7.8 in Oregon would of been front-page news, and we'd
So nope, no quake-a-rooni up there. According to USGS, the only ones up there in the past week have been a mag. 1-2, so small as to only be felt by seismographs.
Has anyone ever heard of AC Medical Records Management out of Oregon? TIA nm

INfo on Greenlight Transcription in Portland, Oregon

What platform do they use and is it friendly?  I had heard they only paid 6 cpl.. is that true, or hopefully more??

Old posts from 2007 give glowing reviews, but in 2 years things can happen, and no line rates were posted back then.

Thanks for any info.

Advanced
I worked for them for about a month.  Very nice people, easy setup, they use Word.  The pay periods are unusual in that you have to wait about a month to get your first check.  They are twice a month but run a month behind.  So do inquire about that.  Low ESL from what I saw.  They did not consider me to have enough experience.
Advanced
Run, run, run as fast as you can!! If it's the one where the owner is in New Jersey. I worked for her for three weeks and it turned out to be a nightmare!
Advanced
Pay was a bit low but regular. Platform had a lot of kinks but that improved. Management could be very disorganized, nasty and rude. I found better pay and nicer people elsewhere but maybe they have changed.
Advanced
I've worked there for 9 months and am very happy. The program is easy to learn, everyone is very professional, pay is on time or early. As long as the turnaround time is met, I've found them to be very flexible. They have a lot of work.
Advanced
The one in Oregon is very good to work for and flexible for IC status. Pay is good, by direct deposit, and on time. They use Iscriptor which works with MS Word.

I have no knowledge about the one in a different state. They are separate companies as far as I know.
Advanced in OR

I worked for them very briefly as a secondary.  They are nice people to work for and easy to get along with.  They seemed fair.  They just needed me to provide a schedule of sorts to them as to when I could help out, and I just couldn't give that to them at that point in time.

One of the platforms I used was Iscriptor which was cumbersome but doable.  I think they also use an IM to communicate and e-mail as well.  They paid on time direct deposit.

Nice people!  They also try to set you up with your specialty, which is a very nice touch.

With Iscriptor, you basically take so many jobs at a time, send them back, and then take more.  It was pool work for me, but things may have changed.

I would highly recommend Advanced.

Advanced Transcription
I thought their platform was really slow and I could never make any money switching back and forth through the system.  Frustrating!!  I would work several hours sometimes and make less than 10 or 12 bucks because of all the switching around, cutting and pasting, etc.  Good luck!
Advanced Transcription
I am currently testing for Advanced. Does anybody have any info on them? Thanks!
Advanced Transcription

Can anyone give me any information on Advanced Transcripion in Portland, OR?

Advanced is great!

I have worked for this company for awhile.  It is true that the pay runs about 25 days behind, but once you get over that hump for the first pay period they pay consistently.  You can have your check direct deposited.  Pay is always on time.

I love working for Advanced!

Advanced Transciption
My friend and I both worked for them last year and the work was pleasant enough, but not enough of it, so had to find steady work. The owner kept telling us she would get new accounts but did not see it happening fast enough for my needs. Kept telling her I needed steady work. Don't know what they are like now. When she hired us, she said she had plenty, but turned out not to be the case.

Really appreciate the prompt and honest feedback. Thanks.

Is this company run by Joy Pickett? or somebody named Donna? If so, run. Since my experience with them of not being paid on time and having to threaten to go to BBB and everybody else I could think of to get my pay, this is the first time I have heard anything good. Everyone else who responded to me had the same horror story to tell. They are also known as Alliance or Allied transcription. That is why I asked who was running the show. They are sweet people but that doesn't pay the bills.
Advanced Transcription

I have subcontracted for Advanced Transcription out of Portland, Oregon for almost 3 yrs.  It's a great company.  We always have plenty of work.  They have direct deposit and pay on time or early.  The platform is easy to learn.  If you are looking for work, check them out.  You will not be disappointed.

Advanced Transcription
Pay was average but regular.  Management could be very rude, unprofessional and disorganized.  They would tell you one thing and then forget what they told you to do.  Platform had a lot of technical glitches.  I wouldn't recommend them. You could probably do better elsewhere.  I did!
