Look at the 10s of thousands of workers who are being laid off from GM and Ford after giving decades of their lives.  Thanks to all you people who buy foreign cars.

For crying out loud
Why would you wait for weeks - are you new to this industry?

This is COMMON practice and I don't care how big or small the company is... Many are just advertising for clients they HOPE to get soon - many are poorly organized and/or UNDERstaffed for administrative purposes.

Make it a rule to apply for MANY jobs at once; you'll be lucky if two are hits and then you can choose the best fit for you.

Always ask up front: Do you tie payment for work done to payment received by your client?

Is this opening immediate or for the future?

If you ask the right questions up front and they don't perform, start sending more resumes ASAP.

Take it from someone who learned the hard way.

Nice holiday spirit. For crying out loud.....
This is still a democratic country, is it not? Why is it that if people don't agree with YOU or the bandwagon cheerleaders for a company, they get bashed? I worked at TT and found it to match all of the complaints that are read on here. That doesn't mean it's not a good company - just not a good company for ME (and others, by the way). CHILL..................
Sure it does. It's a myth that foreign cars are better. sm

Does anyone keep jap cars long enough to find out?    We have American vehicles ranging from 2001 back to 1960.  Still running.  It started in the 70s when the factories started closing as goods were being made in Japan, and continued on.   Now it's China and India gobbling up our jobs.

Get off your high horse for crying out loud. She did not mention that it was a transcription company
ENCOMPASS
top

Employee assistance is available to support all staff and their family members at no cost. This confidential service addresses a variety of issues that may affect the quality of your work or personal life including stress, depression, anxiety, grief and relationship conflicts

Maybe YOU should do some research before you jump all over somebody. WHen a person just mentions a name, it doesn't necessarily mean a transcription company.

Get real..... who is buying new cars, satellite dishes, video games? How about rent, utilities on t
NM
You're right, but we would have to stop buying
drugs and Ford cars because their factories are in Mexico. The Ford cars are not big deal, but the drugs are. I do try to buy only American though.
Your opinion we stop paying taxes, buying
x
Star Stop works better than express scribe. If you want start Stop, yea it is kind of sm
expensive. I wish they did pay their QA hourly as I think they would see better quality work, but they per line and it is higher than the other person posted.

I have never had a problem with management, so I am unfamiliar with what the other person experienced with management.

Pay is always on time (most of the time early). I like the software. I guess you just have to see if it fits for you.
Stop taking these insulting wages and they will stop offering them.
nm
Plastic cars
Plastic cars fold up like an accordion absorbing impact.  The metal ones bounce you forward.  This is why speed limit was raised back in the 80s from 55 mph to 70 mph.
who's crying??????
nm
Japanese cars are too good for me - I can't use them up.
I had my Toyota Corolla 16 years, and I still only had 91,000 miles on it. Now I have a Ford. Maybe now I'll need another car in my lifetime - sheez!
I don't think MTs are running out to buy hybrid cars
It's not an incentive to sign up. They don't need to do that because word of mouth does that for them. It's more like core values of how a company operates and what they believe in.
plastic cars.....motorhead...sm

You're absolutely correct!  All these new cars crush like juice boxes/accordians.  I rather drive real steel older model cars for 2 reasons: I know how to fix 'em and keep 'em runnin', and I'd be more likely to live in the event of an accident.  Now, if I just had the money to restore them appropriately.  Oh well, can't have it all.   Cat

You're the one who came here crying.
Boohoo, poor you, aren't making enough money at $21/hour. I can understand you not wanting to read this crap. You're not even happy getting $21/hour to read crap, so reading this for free must be doubly painful. Enjoy your box.
Does credibility put food on our table, gas in our cars, and
clothes on our backs?

We must have been credible at some point in time. After all, we made good incomes because we were paid higher wages, we started MTSOs that were later bought out by the big boys with the big bucks, and we loved what we did and the product we produced. When did we lose credibility? Maybe when the big boys started offshoring? Do you think credibility will be brought back when the big boys bring our jobs back into our own country? Huh? Huh? Huh?
The same way cars that claim to be "made in America"
Some people just take a shred of truth, and spread it really really thin.  But their lies should be exposed every time someone gets a chance.
I'm crying over here laughing so hard
no message so you don't have to bother looking inside the post. I thought same thing when I first got here...thought boy is this NM lady annoying. LOL!
For crying in the corn. I had to chuckle at that.
Thank you for making me smile.
My accounts are crying for overtime. What's up I wonder? NM

OMG. Did you really sound that out loud? nm
nm
Loud and Clear.

OMG, I burst out loud on that one! NM
x
Shhh! Don't say that too loud!
nm
Well for sobbing out loud
Who said anything about stopping change????
hahaha... I HATE that loud, -
.
I used to laugh out loud at the VR-produced
nightly news on the TV sets at my local gym. I'd be watching it while using the treadmill, elliptical trainer or StairMaster, and would occasionally belt out a 'Bwa-ha-haaa!' at something the VR had written. Got more than a few stares from my fellow gym-goers, who probably thought I was nuts. The humor of VR sure did make my workouts go by quickly, though!
Its a message board for cryin out loud!
To bad we can't come on here and state our feelings or vent our frustrations without having to worry about all this. Some posts are over the line, but most are just people who want a place to talk to others in the same boat they are. I think the ones who are trying to dissect the posts to figure out who they are written by need to spend a little more time working!!!
LL ahh c'com on. IF ans out THERE loud & clear, not riled up MTs
If know very well LL, if the ans were avail in first place and some MT did not know the ans, and posted upsetting things, he TRUE answer WOULD be posted by other MT and you know it.

People get upset not knowing, then speculation begins what else can they do.
I guess you live in a vacuum! Search this board, for crying outloud! SM

A couple of weeks ago there were several former JLG employees posting how they were fired from doing SR and were not even offered MT positions!  I'm not trying to hide anything and I don't appreciate you insinuating I'm a liar!

You want to know who I am, email me!  My information is from firsthand experience!

Sad but true. You're asked to work NOW, then asked to stop NOW, then go again and then stop
If you dont get off the minute the hospital asks, even if you have no idea that they have requested that your to be off, then the hospital MTs steal your work right out of your queue and I mean reports you have already done. I dont understand the concept of having a contract with a hospital and then having to fight for work with the hospital MTs. We should have guaranteed work during our shift and enough of the the hospital wants you to help right now and then a few hours later they want us to stop working as the work is too low. It is crazy and I couldnt work like that so I had to quit.
FOREIGN MT

YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT.  FOREIGN OR NOT, THESE PEOPLE DESERVE THE RIGHT TO LEARN AND PRODUCE AND MAKE A LIVING.  WE ARE TO POMPOUS AS INDIVIDUALS IN THIS BUSINESS. ONLY AMERICANS CAN PRODUCE QUALITY, BOLOGNA.  I AM A QA SWAT TEAM MEMBER OF A LARGE SERVICE AND WE HAVE QUITE A BIT OF OFFSHORE WORK DONE, THE QUALITY IS BETTER THAN MOST AMERICAN MTs.  YES THEY ARE NOT PRIVY TO AMERICAN SLANG AND TO THEM THE LANGUAGE A LANGUAGE, MUCH LIKE AN ESL DOCTOR TO US, SO DOES THAT MEAN WE DON'T TRANSCRIBE, SWEAT AND MANY TIMES LEAVE BLANKS ALL OVER THE PLACE.  WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH OUR ATTITUDES ABOUT THESE FOLKS.  YES THEY MAKE MISTAKES, BUT THEY ARE THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE OF OUR TRADE.  THE MORE HOSPITALS, CLINICS, ETC WANT COMPETITIVE CHARGES, THE MORE YOU WILL USE INDIANS, CHINESE, KOREANS, ETC TO APPLY THIS TRADE.

I CAN SPEAK AFTER 20+ YEARS.

Not foreign company
I work for Globespan Medical, Inc and it is not a foreign company as you are thinking. They are based out of California and do not outsource, so not sure what you are seeing and where that they are foreign.
not foreign either but can't get to the site. nm
.
Foreign Company
You don't want to work for a foreign company why? I'm sure that you purchase items from foreign companies. Everything is going overseas because it is cheaper. Focus is a great company to work for. I've been there for 1 year and haven't had any issues with them. Just because they are foreign doesn't make them a bad company.
Once foreign owned, always foreign owned.
x
Let us know when you accomplish that with foreign MTs.
I'm curious as to how long it takes.
So now we have to put up with this foreign garbage.... sm
undercutting us and taking our work with such poor grammar? You've got to be kidding. This is ridiculous.

If you click on that job listing, at the bottom of the page is a moderator link. Click on that and it will bring up all the moderators e-mails. Let's all e-mail them with thumbs down and get these messages removed.

Red angry smiley face to these moderators and definite thumbs down.
This is a foreign company.
This will offshore all they can. The American MT is the bottom feeder here. Beware!
I smell a foreign spy. You need to...
Leave the board before I report you to Customs and Immigration. LOL.
If you look up the foreign name and the web address

it's associated with /transindiatranscribers.  If you're concerned about offshoring, might want to give this one a miss.

No, not foreign sounding
Try ebonics.
If the new owners allow foreign posts,
at the top of the JobSeekers page.  It's the second listing on it.  It very clearly states no MTs outside of the US.  I realize it dates pre-new owners, but they should remove that if they are going to allow such postings.
Oh, I agree, but the owner is foreign, so
xx
Webmedx is NOT offshore, nor foreign owned. 100% US. nm
