Have worked for Medware and now at Precyse.(sm)

Medware turned out to be a really bad place to work, changes taking place there all the time and NOT good ones.  I am very pleased with everything at Precyse.  Great benefits.  Great platform.  Great people at Precyse, love working with them.

I worked for Precyse

I dont know how all of the team managers are, but I worked for them for 4 months and mine never got back to me on any of my e-mails.  I was always out of work, so bad to the point where my line count for the 2 weeks would = no more than 200 lines (if I was lucky).

I would always try to get a seond account, no response from my team manager. They would basically EXPECT their MT's to make up all of their time on the weekends. I would get e-mails from her that my QA evaluations were EXCELLENT at 99.6% but I needed to get my lines in

After e-mailing her who knows how many times with no response for another account, and even IM'ing her and asking her if I could work then to make up time NO RESPONSE.

I got fed up, e-mailed her said I was putting my 2 weeks notice in, and guess what, no sooner did I hit SEND my phone was ringing asking me why I was leaving and that she would hate to lose me.  At that time, I just had it and left and came to Medquist.

They have a TON of ESL's, but they weren't that bad.. you know how MQ has the F5 function, well Precyse has something like that, you don't have to ask for samples they are all stored in a database sorted by doctor. If the patient being dictated was typed before you could even search for that particular patient, so basically I NEVER had blanks.  I really miss that.  I liked the company a lot.  Its just a shame that my account manager wasn't dependable and there was never any work and they always expected you to work all day on the weekends.

They have awesome PTO too you can use it from day one it starts at .005 cents per line..so theres money to be had there, If you can actually get any work. You have to work at least 25 hours to get it.

Let me know if you need to know anything else.. I'll be happy to share.

I have worked for OSI and Precyse (sm)
Precyse is a more professional company than OSi. Their operations and management team are more qualified. After working for both, Precyse has more to offer and they appreciate their employees. The QA staff at Precyse is the best, hands down. OSi has a really bad QA department. It is not easy to become an employee of Precyse, so if you are offered a position, I would jump on it. You will not be let go after 2 weeks.

Hope this helps a little bit.
I worked for Precyse
about a year ago and the work was pretty consistent. Every company I've worked for (in 11 years) has some slow times, but I was never completely out of work at Precyse. They do expect you to flex if there is no work, which was hard for me, but they have the best and least expensive health insurance of any company I've ever worked for. I don't know about Transtech.
I had a friend that worked for Precyse - sm
She was told she would be paid in two weeks - eight weeks later, and several phone calls later, she was still calling for her FIRST check. She was soooo frustrated and soooo broke, that she had no choice but to quit that job and go back to her prior transcription job
Worked for eTrans and Precyse
Only lasted 2 weeks at Precyse. Hard to make money there. eTrans was easy to make money and they had relatively good benefits. Been 5 years ago though. Things could have changed.
I had this experience when I worked for Precyse.
Glad to be gone from that nonsense.
Men are pigs! Okay, I worked for Precyse a few years ago and SM

I have nothing bad to say about them.  They have great communication and organization.  When I worked for them, they supplied the PC.  The work was pretty good and work flow was consistent.  Pay was always on time and always correct.  I left to work in the office.  No hard feelings towards them and I hope they don't towards me (which I don't think they do).

As for your personal situation, what is that song?  Sistas are doing it for themselves!  It seems like your life sucks right now, but you can do it and do it better without him.

Good Luck!

I have worked for both -- still have friends at Precyse and find
them both to be about the same as far as consistency in work. Usually if I'm running low, then they are too. However, Precyse has the better platform IMO.
I have never worked for Medware.
I have never worked for Medware. What they have in common is ExText and are PSPs for Dictaphone. Medware does not fund anyone and TTS is a totally independent company. I know many of the old crew who were at Medware and they had a great crew and probably will again some day if their heart is truly in it. When people move on they hopefully weight their options and make the best decision they can for themselves. I have had the summer of enlightenment with this industry and having a very hard time maintaining my own good humor about it, frankly. I do know this .. there are still great companies out there who keep a low profile and just get it done. They don't go for the glitz and have to be the biggest and the best and toot their own horns. They just do it the best way they can each and every day .. and that is really what it should be all about each day, the safety of the patient and having a life outside of work that you can call your own.
I worked for Medware in the past, and
at first it was great!  They were advertising for ER which was what I wanted, but when I applied they said no ER so I was given Acute Care.  The first few months were great.  I was in hog heaven.  Then overnight things changed and I had nothing but the worst ESLs and my pay went downhill big time!!  I tried to get things resolved, so no luck.  Otherwise it was great.  Easy platform, good communication, etc.  If you are lucky enough to get and KEEP good accounts, then it is great!
Medware of TransHealth? Anyone worked for both?
nm
When I trained/worked for Medware,
more than 2 hours because the trainer like to gab and not necessarily keep on track with the training. So, no guarantee that you will be finished.
I was not WRONG. I worked for Medware, so I know how they operate.
I did not receive a software bundle beyond that which was built into the system.  I did NOT receive a standalone version or disk of any software.  I AM NOT WRONG.  I also could care less if you're happy or not, because your attitude certainly is not that of a happy person.  So go back to your offshoring, lying company and stop trying to get the last word in when YOU are INCORRECT on ALL COUNTS.
Has anyone worked with Linda Kelley of TTS/Medware & can you tell me about your experience, please?

Has anyone worked with Linda Kelley of TTS/Medware, and can you please tell me about your experience??  THANKS SO VERY MUCH, your time is greatly appreciated!!!

Years ago I knew a completely blind lady who worked for Medware (nm)
x
I worked for a temp agency for 3 years..LOVED it. Just worked. No counts, no hassels, GREAT pay..
No benefits at the time.  I even learned pathology while temping (8 months on that assigment).  I loved the variety, the ability to say I'm not available such and such time.  I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I didn't need benefits.
A company is ONLY supposed to verify that someone worked there, what dates they worked, whether PT o
and last date worked. It opens everyone up to a lawsuit if more is given, so most companies are told by their attorneys and business advisors to verify only.

No one has a right to a reference, only verification of employment.
It worked! Latest suggestion from DJ's email worked. nm

If I worked a longer day, I just put my regular shift, 3p-11p, or whatever. If I worked sm
an extra day, then I was told to fudge the hours around on the other days so it all came out to 40.  I didn't really mind -- have learned not to expect overtime in this profession -- and I was happy to be able to work whenever I needed to get the lines I needed.  However, them telling me directly to fudge on my time sheet would seem to be a violation of the wage and hour laws.  I suppose it doesn't matter now if they do not even have enough work to make the minimum line count necessary.  Several of the companies I thought were golden seem to have gotten a bit tarnished lately … sad.
She's giving work TO Medware, or is Medware giving work to her company? Medware has no work. nm

Glad it worked for you. I have worked for companies
that were more reliable and paid without the delay I had. Maybe you started before they started doing that but it makes no difference. I TOO am a single parent.

You are not trying to argue? Sounds like you not only are trying to argue but you are just waiting for anyone to post anything about the co on here so you can just get out there and respond, which seems to be the way I have always noticed it. It's like all the MTs or whoever that work there are just waiting to respond.

This board is about the good points and bad points about companies. I am telling my experience.

The people were nice people though, but my experience was not a good one and I will not say it was.

I can go a week after the end of payday and even 10days later but that's it. Kids would starve.
Best company I have ever worked for, and I have worked for a lot!
I can't believe some of the things these people say here, and have to wonder if it just the same person or two bashing. I have been at MDI for four years and I do not have a low workload and I get treated very, very well.
They one I am not sure of. I have always worked FT for them. I have worked both IC and employee
and I always did way over 12,000 a pay peroid. I am sure they are pretty comparative to other companies. You definitely could contact a recruiter by applying if they would answer all of your questions up front. Good luck.
Precyse
Am considering Precyse and would appreciate any feedback from gals/guys who currently work for this company. The good, the bad, and anything in between. Thanks.

Precyse
GO for it! I've owned my own company and worked for others. This is the classiest, best run, best paid, best benefits place I've ever found.
Precyse. sm
Is achieving a decent line count at Precyse easy to do?
Precyse. sm
I have tested with them twice, they were slow responding.  Usually when I test I get an immediate response and job offer, they are a little slow in getting back.  Would like to hear from Precyse MTs - line counts reasonably achievable?
Precyse
Been with Precyse 3+ years.  Their recruiting needs some big time attention.  They are rather selective about who they hire and quality is an issue.  In my experience, I have had no problem achieving my lines, including the bonus every pay period for lines over 12,000.  Of course I have been doing this for over 20 years!
Precyse
I am not a newbie either.  I am switching companies trying to find a fit. Precyse cheats people with 20 years or plus experience on line counts.  You are told, you will get feedback from every report, Not so, if you are very capable.  I have done a lot, a lot of lines.  Worked all day the day before I quit with all my macros, stayed focused and had 600 lines.  That has never happened to me before, even with learning curve.  I do 12-500  a day, until I met them.  I finally figured out, they don't pay for headers, so why should I do them?  I don't think they pay for footers either.  I am running back to my old job as soon as I can, at least they don't steel lines.
Precyse/MDI

I've worked for both these companies.  The platform is Webcorrect (DocQScribe).  I happen to love that platform and I managed 1200 to 1400 lines in 6-7 hours - yes, relatively easy to get.  I did all consultations and ERs (didn't like being stuck in these work types and ended up, after about 4 months, not getting any ERs).  If you didn't like the old Edix management, you probably won't like Precyse.  For the most part, though, other than a couple of snippy QA and supervisors, they're not bad.

As far as MDI goes, I did voice recognition for them for a few weeks.  The platform  I worked on was Escription - easy.  The problem is, VR doesn't pay well (about half) and it is very possible to spend lots of time on these reports.  Spent about 70% of the time on VR and the rest typing.  These folks seemed unorganized and no one was available.  If you're a self-starter, you'll do fine.

In my opinion, Precyse is the better, more structured company with much better benefits.  The pay is always on time, every other week.  If you don't like DocQScribe (Webcorrect), though, don't go there.

Good luck to you.  Wish you the best.

And I think Precyse too?
nm
Precyse does too

Precyse

Do they pay well? Annual raises?  Do they pay on time?  Do they put you on too many accounts?  Is platform fast enough?  Is their line counting system fair?

Any other comments appreciated.

Thanks

Precyse

As I said before, each MT has to find a company that fits their needs and schedule.  I've been with Precyse going on 4 years (they are only 6 years old) and love it.  Pay is good, I always have work (of course I work a split shift by choice and there is always work), and have been on the same 2 accounts the whole time.  They do not hold your hand, you have to be independent, but I like that.  I never have PC problems, paycheck problems, or problems achieving my lines.  I love their PTO account and the fact that it adds up so quickly.  I've been doing this a long time and by far this is best national I have worked for thus far.

That's my 2 cents!

Try Precyse, could get 9-10 cpl
Good benefits, too.
Precyse

anyone working for Precyse or know anything about them?  thanks

Precyse

I just called the Precyse telephone number and used the prompts for employment opportunities, and medical transcription.  The automated voice said, Just a minute, please...  Then there was screeching, like a fax machine!  ROFL!

Anybody know a better way to contact them?  I took their on-line test last week, and I just wanted to follow up.

Precyse...

I have looked in the archives.  Awhile back it seemed there were mostly good things to say about them.  Now I see more negative posts.  Is someone reading this who wouldn't mind it if I Email and ask some specifics?  TIA.

Precyse uses it too.

Precyse MTs, (sm)
I will be training on Precyse soon.  Just wondered if you guys had any pointers about getting started off on the right foot.  Also, do any of you use your own PC or do you use theirs?
Precyse

I am thinking about looking into Precyse. Does anyone have any really bad experiences with them such as lack of work etc.?
