Are you kidding?? You don't get paid for 45 days. Geesh, I wonder if your creditors would wait

Posted By: Wow on 2009-01-31
In Reply to: wait 45 days - lol

that longer to get paid...probably not. You go over 30 days and they start hounding you. I definitely would never do a job that took that long to get paid.

Any company that makes you wait to get paid until they get paid by the client
is not a company you want to get involved with. That's part of being an MTSO, figuring out how to cover your payroll while waiting to get paid. I would stay away!
Do you have to wait 90 days (sm)
to be eligible for the health insurance, and do you really not have to work any holidays. How is the platform? Thanks for replying.
Yes, wait 90 days. sm
Yes, you wait 90 days for health insurance. You can request holidays off. The platform is a piece of cake.

No problem at all. Feel free to ask other questions or email me at timetotype@hotmailnospam.com (take out nospam)
I always wait about 2-3 days before
contacting a company I am really interested in. Sometimes they get so bogged down with resumes it is hard to keep up. Good luck!
wait 45 days
She wants you to type NOW to bail her out but wants you to wait 45 days to pay you?  yeah right.  who is flaked out?
Thanks, I guess I will wait a few more days. nm
nm
Yes, not sure I could wait the 30 days it'd take to get the first check.
That always turns me off. I'm sure for most it's not a big deal but I can't work for a month without a check.
Thanks -- that does help! That is great ... some make you wait 90 days. nm

You have to wait 90 days to quality for insurance and the other benefits. sm

There are 3 different plans for coverage -- basic, choice, and ultimate, I think -- and you choose which one is right for you. I do not have the paperwork handy, but it seems like good coverage at a reasonable price (single coverage, don't really remember about family), and you can also opt for dental and vision insurance.  You are right, though, the premium is deducted every 2 weeks.

I haven't been paid yet at ALL, much less 2 days early! sm

And last time was on the 8th, not the 7th (and yes, I know the 7th was a Sunday).  I have been paid as late as the 10th, and since the line count didn't go in until late Thursday night, I sincerely doubt I will be paid this time until the 23rd.

I'm glad you're such a great cheerleader for the company, but I haven't been paid early in EONS.

Is no one going to mention that we got paid two days early this time?
'Cause we did :)

My creditors are just not accepting nice for $$$$ to pay my bills
We continue to get these emails from mgmt about big things in store . . . but we cannot tell you about it now.   This has been going on for a number of months now.  Who is going to benefit from those big things.  We MT's are LOSING money each and every day, but you keep getting the same size paychecks because you are either salaried or hourly employees.
Not thankful for now work -- creditors do not accept that excuse!

How can you thank a company who overhires and leaves the MT's without enough work.  TT has done this recently.  Of course, there is always excuses such as holiday, school starting, etc.  But this is not the case at all now.

If you provide for yourself -- no husband -- then you should reconsider hiring on with TT.

That is what I just said. !0 days PTO, period. That includes vacation, sick days and personal days
They should have paid holidays so that you are paid if you take off. Also should inculde extra hours for sick days and personal days.

That annual raise of .002 is kind of a joke especially when at the same time they upped the minimum line requirement from 10,000 lines to 12,000 lines.

OSi just does not have the qualified people in management positions that I wish to work for.

I am glad that you are happy at OSi and all is working out for you. Their dishonesty and the way they treat people just does not work for me.

Of course they can get by cheaply by hiring unqualified people so that is very good for the owners.
Re: Geesh
Just be happy it is not your name being dragged through the mud. At least one person is happy on this website. Lots of negativity on here.
Geesh, I'm a dip. lol It should just say...
I took the test this weekend. I couldn't remember whether I took it Friday or Saturday. Duh. It's been a long day!
geesh 100% correct here
Great post--sad but so true!
geesh! Liked their platform.
nm
geesh, maybe they can't keep people-ever think of that?
You are such an angry and defensive person. What? You didn't make your minimum line count today?
Geesh - typo. sm
Geesh. I'm sorry. That should have been 'was notorious.' I just had to have my kids' pet mouse euthanized, so I'm a bit frazzled right now.
Geesh, it was a joke. Just trying to give the OP a

Geesh. Maybe they're growing. Ever think of that? nm

Is it really coming to .08 w/o spaces AND quick TAT? geesh...

Isn't that called "stat"?  What happened to getting paid more for quick TAT?

Well, geesh... I guess since I am psychic too I should be able to figure out who that would be..
Some people.. who better to ask than the employees of MDI.  I think they would know if they are IC or employees.
oh boy.. I'm gifted, how about "hear" not "here".. geesh.. need a nap
nm
Geesh. They just emailed me tell me that I hadn't taken the test yet..duh
Totally ignored the content of my e-mail asking for details.  Well, this at least gave me a second chance to ask.  Maybe now they will share the line rate with me.  Who knows?  I am certainly not holding my breath.
About about paying a "fortune'.. geesh.. time for a nap

Why is it that there is always someone that has to be nasty. Every company, every opinion. Geesh.
xx
Geesh..It's been a long day. I don't think I made any sense on that post.
Bottom line is, best pay rate out there, most of the time enough work and good benefits. They have a lot of happy employees.
Get real. She wont cost co the acct. Geesh
x
geesh, I thought the main board hosted the nasty trolls

You bill 30 days behind, and they snail mail it so it's late - about 40 days from invoice
No way jose - they even messed up their direct deposit payments
Maybe she/he works 14 hour days/7 days a week? nm
x
Would that be 5 business days or 5 regular days?
So when are we going to be paid this time around since you're so knowledgable?

Sorry, but for some of us a day or 2 actually makes a difference.
Most want 20 hours over 5 days, but it could be more, or it could be spread over 4 days. nm

It is true. Any job has its good days and bad days.
Perhaps you'd like to just keep your old job and try this one out. Just because a poster here is crabbing about it, or even if as in the past there have been negative posts, odds are that there are very happy people who don't even post or know that this board exists. As Alice says. Everything is relative. The fact that this company is hiring and pays may be a place which is a blessing. As opposed to digging ditches on day labor for example. Or somebody might prefer digging ditches. This is just an example. Sometimes we who are employable, even though we don't make as much as we used to in this business, or as much as we would like to, we still if working at home do not pay for gas to go to work, career clothes, deal with office politics, have to look at a boss who writes us up if we are a minute late, etcetera. I don't make half as much as I used to, but I don't send my 3 children to day care which by the way saves us money. SO I remind my husband I am worth that in addition to my salary if I had a job outside. No job is perfect. I am not even sure if Focus is any good or not, I have not worked there. But if one poster says there are good days and bad, I say that is the most honest answer you are going to get anywhere, and if you need a job badly, how is it to hurt trying it out, until you know for sure for yourself? THanks for listening. But sometimes this board gets to be a bit much with the agendas of people railing on other people like the OP here who just wanted all opinions instead of just one side. Balance is always great. And, if things seem lop-sided, then it is a good thing to seek out both sides. IMHO.
I think they would. Those are good days for 10-hour days. sm
I have a set schedule but it is Tues-Sat and it works well for me. It wouldn't hurt to ask!
90 days is correct. 3 days off 1st year, 10 during 2nd.

Training on the system, not paid, but if you are physically typing reports then you are getting paid
nm
Oh, yea -- PAID, too. Grandmother PAID LEAVE would be a great drawing card to TT !!

Just love that PAID TIME OFF !!

Is this a live count of lines paid for or same as CTRL I that we do not get paid for ?? nm

Me too.. the outsourced company was paid for and paid me for headers, but OSI does/did not.

I have always paid yearly and have never paid or been assessed a penaltly. nm

Be glad you get paid tomorrow. We are paid on the 1st and the 15th, so sm
since the 1st is on a weekend, we don't get paid until Monday.  It will happen again on the 15th of August …sigh.  It is the only thing I do not like about the company, though, so I guess a few weekends of poverty a year is not too much.
Were the 2 days weekend days? sm
They expect everyone to work a weekend day. Their definition of team player is to actually work 6 or 7 days a week. One might consider it if the pay was there & she gave out some decent work. It is the ideal place to work if you are a workaholic with no life.
11 days is more than you would get inhouse...usually 10 days.
We have the convenience of working at home and yet you want MORE than what inhouse positions offer?

Ask if those are calendar days or biz days too nm
