Charts In Time
Can anyone give positives or negative for Charts In Time in Florida?  Sounds really great!
Charts in Time does too.

Charts in Time
Just to clarify .. and I certainly did not have to come back and do this .. so keep that in mind .. when I made up that moniker I thought it was catchy .. it does not reflect anything positive or negative about the company. We are a smaller company with lots of work, new clients coming on in June, and are looking for talented and professional transcriptionists who can and will come and work with us to achieve mutual goals. We are growing and I have a great group who work with us .. we've had one or two exceptions and those people have moved on and with luck secured other positions where they will be able to carry on and make a living. So, I don't think there was anything sneaky or misleading in my post .. and I will stop trying to catch your eye .. perhaps people who want a good position with an honest company will respond. I live in hope and so far, we have been particularly fortunate with our hires and for that I am so thankful.

Happy Mother's Day to all who are. Have a wonderful day!

Charts In Time, TransTech or MedScribe

Anyone have any good information about these two companies?  Thinking of applying.  What type of platform do they use?

Thanks

Looking for CIT/Charts in Time website, can't find it.

any info on Charts in Time or US Transcription?....
I cannot find information on either of these companies and was wondering how they were to work for.  Thanks.
Charts in Time (Florida?) does. Have an ad up back in the listings. nm

Anyone know anything about Charts in Time? Only thing I found in the archives sm

mentioned tons of bad ESLs and not enough work -- not too encouraging.  Perhaps that has changed?  Anyone working for them currently or know anything new?

benefits/time off
You mentioned levels, so they pay according to your ability, and depending on your abilities you will get easier or harder doctors to type for?  Are there a lot of ESL?  What about the benefits and starting pays.  Someone said they have BC/BS and it is $75 for single, but my husband is 75 years old, so most likely insurance would be out of this world, and what about PTO to include sick, vacation, and holidays?  Am seriously thinking of a change, but was thinking maybe part time at first, and then if all worked out, going to full time.  However, at this particular moment, I do not have high-speed internet.  We are hoping to have it within the next couple of months though - if they can in between the hills and trees as we are out in the middle of no where.  Thanks.
How about pay/time off benefits? Thanks

part time benefits-sm
Does anyone know a company that has benefits for part-time?  I know they are rare, but I remember seeing some, but cannot find them now.  I am not so much interested in insurance as PTO, 401K, etc.
Does SPI really offer benefits? The last time I checked they did not.
Thanks for any information.
I work part-time for them, so I cannot help you regarding benefits. sm

The pay scale seems a bit on the low side (I started at 0.0825), but you are an employee, so they take out taxes and such, which is a plus for me, and you can raise your rate of pay according to how many lines per hour you type.  I do not have the tier right in front of me, but it is something like 150-170, add .015 per line; 171-215, .035; 216-230, .05; and so on.   I type 300 LPH on my full-time job but cannot seem to average more than 250 at Webmedx, so not sure if it is the way they count lines, or maybe I am just not used to my account yet.  The sound quality on some of the hospitals on my account is absolutely AWFUL, and no one seems to be addressing that, so that is a down side.

They have their own platform and supply the computers.  Someone said you have the option of using your own computer, but when I asked, they said I had to use theirs, so I don't really know.  I would much prefer mine, but I did get a switch so I only have to use one monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

They charge a $125 deposit for the computer, taken out in installments of $25 per pay period, refundable when you quit and return the computer.

The pay is direct deposit and always on time.

I know they have benefits such as medical, dental, and vision, and a 401k, but I do not know the details.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!

Yes, time clock. No insurance or any benefits for parttime.

Great benefits, plenty of work, pay on time
Depending on experience, slightly above-average pay. I used to be with a company where I would have given my right arm for those few simple things. As for the posts below regarding line count, IF this (or any other concern) was affecting my work, there's a new invention called a telephone that comes in handy when wanting to address concerns (and their phone number is on their website).
You will not lose benefits for one time missing quota.
Call your ROM or TL, and they will point you in the right direction. I think you have a full three months to make up your quota.

Transcend is a wonderful company. E-mail me if you want further information.
if you don't need the benefits, i recommend part-time flex...
Part time flex requires 2,000 lines per week minimum, but you can do more if you like. You need to submit a schedule, but some production supervisors are flexible...mine is very flexible.
They do not provide equipment. Platform is DocQScribe and is great.
I have been with MQ for about 7 years, and they have been very good to me. I have great accounts but low work volume on them. Always seem to be overstaffed on my accounts, but that is why I have a backup with another company.
Good luck.
Webmedx - Benefits and Full-Time Status

I'm a bit surprised that I haven't seen any posts regarding the new requirements to be considered full time at Webmedx beginning in 2009 -- 40 hours per week rather than the previous 35 per week.

I guess it doesn't surprise me completely, but I'm not all that happy about it. An extra hour a day of work isn't high on my list of activities I want to add to my day. I already have a hard time fitting everything in.

Anyone else want to share their feelings about it?

just one more question....do they have regular full-time employees with benefits or......sm
just ICs?  Thanks.
Deventure has never paid benefits to part time folks
Not sure what you are talking about, but there is no difference. Everyone I have spoken to is really excited about the merger with Transcend.
Are there any companies who offer health benefits to part time employees?
Need insurance.
It is perfectly legal. You need to be FT to get benefits. You need 12000 lines to be full time. I
period so there is no issue. Why do some people here try to make everything ugly?

What the person did NOT say is that it is averaged by quarter. So if you do 12,000 lines one time, 15,000 the next and 10,000 the following, it will balance out. They also do not count it against you if your account is slow.
What do you mean the best charts? Do we get charts?
i don't get it
Charts can be reached at ..
727-573-7704. They are located in St. Petersburg, Fl. Since I am the former recruiter/transcription manager you can be sure this information is correct. You would need to ask for Suzanne. the owner or the new manager, Betsy. As for the name calling, it is hardly appreciated.
Docs using PC's instead of charts sm
The younger docs are now carrying laptops into the examining room, no more charts. My husband and I had extensive, large charts (which we earned through serious stuff) and now they have been replaced by the young staff coming in with a laptop, no more charts. I was not brave enough to ask at my last visit but I will this visit, Where are our huge charts? Mine used to make comments about the large chart and too many papers. I wanted to say, Do you ever read any of those reports? Very curt, very non-caring attitude, told me last time had had input all my allergies (which are serious) into his computer. I am really worried as my husband and I have been through a lot. I think they could very easily print a H&P from there if you went into a hospital. Two of my clients used to do open heart surgery and they would ask me to print out a H&P from the chart just before the surgery. Some of those people they had not seen in years. I explained that I would not do that as the patient could have developed an illness since last seen. You gotta thank computers for replacing us. Between outsourcing and electronic medical record, we are becoming distinct as the dinosaur. Just IMHO from this area anyway.
Me too. Bet her BMI is off the charts, too. Gotta have a life! nm

NEED HELP - getting reports into digital charts (sm)

Our company is having difficulty getting our reports we transcribe in microsoft word and send by internet to the company -- put into any digital chart they are trying to create ----- to meet the mandate coming up in about 2010.

They are caving to the idea that all transcription MUST be done by voice recognition in order for everything to MESH -- if you get my drift.

I can't believe that it is necessary to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Also, I have never seen a doctor's pay be the same as an MT - and thus wouldn't their time be better spent generating income than doing clerical work?    but then what do I know -- I'm ONLY an MT.  grrr

anyway, has anybody worked through this conundrum and been able to find a program to transcribe on that is compatible with any type of EMR (electronic medical record) program - which I personally thing EMR stinks and should be burned in the pit.

There must be programs that are compatible that allow transcription to still be done (we are the last stopgap measure against errors that happen - we do much more than just type -- do they know this?) and still allow doctors to sputter out their hurridly done dictations as they scurry about -- leaving them available to actually see patients rather than sitting there doing corrections.

Thanks for any help you all.

send email or answer here -- either would be totally appreciated.

Not when those charts have to go through 2 layers of editing before going to the site. sm

Someone in india types them and sends them to MW, where an Editor does a 100% review, and if there are still blanks, it goes to another level of MW editor. You've just paid 1 Transcriptionist and 2 editors for what 1 U.S. transcriptionist could do. I don't understand the benefit, either.

I think a bigger reason for the cut in editor pay was due to too many editors doing too little work. When you work from home at an hourly wage, it's really easy to slack off, take way too long looking up a word, doing other things other than working, and chatting on team mail. I don't blame them for going to a per-line rate, though it is insultingly low.

My primary account is a hosp in new orleans so I'm wondering if we'll have more charts in a fe

Webmedx fits that bill, great company, great benefits, great pay and always on time. NM

I'm lookin for part-time work (about 3-4 hrs daily) after 13 years of full-time, anyone know of a
company that is hiring flexible part-time?  I'm starting a career in real estate but don't want to totally quit transcription, but I think most places require 25 hours a week and I cant work weekends, as real estate sales are the biggest on the weekend with open houses and people off work to shows homes to.  If you know of a place I'd sure appreciate the info.  Thanks!
MDI-Maryland is an excellent company, pay on time all the time, great line rate.
I left also because I went out and got my own client(s).
They are very nice people.

The only negative I can think of were the e-mails from the owner say work, work, work, we are out of TAT.

Other than that, which is very minor, it was a good experience.
Not what I was told; 3500/wk part-time & 6000 wk/full-time. nm

Precyse Solutions is hiring part-time and full-time right now.
Saw this on their website.
i work 3 part-time jobs now. it can be confusing if you are learning both at the same time, but sm
other than that not a problem for me. best to get one down before starting to other or you might become overwhelmed.
MDI-MD: What are daily line requirements for full-time/part-time? Thanks! nm
nm
I have one full-time job and 2 part-time jobs. It can be tricky at times, sm
but at least I now have plenty of work always. I have some big financial goals, and right now that seems to be the only way to accomplish it.  I can't see any reason why it would not be legal -- why would you say that?  I am cheating no one, except myself (out of sleep and a social life).  Fortunately, I am single with no children or anything.  I cannot imagine doing this if I had a family.  At least my dogige understands.
I've been there quite a while, pay on time, growth spurt right now, so good time to get on board,
new accounts and lots of work, and before someone says it, I'm not management, just an employee.
per his request I told him Time To Call, he called Not That Time, emailed me
nm
Full time/part time based on # hours or
# lines per pay period, nothing to do with quality. The lower the quality the higher the pay it seems.
Solution: Find another job, part time or full time.
Post your resume, hope for the best.
Depends on how flexible you need to be and if full-time or part-time
They are a little more flexible if you are part-time.  Not so much full-time, where you can be a little flexible within the day (not a strict 8-5), but if you are scheduled for Monday, you have to work Monday unless you request off, and if you are scheduled for a Holiday, you have to work the holiday, unless you request off.  They encourage you to clock out every time you are not typing to keep your lph rate up, which means an 8 hour day can turn into 12 hours at the computer.  If they run out of work (which they do quite often), you have to make the time up.  They are also leaning more towards Voice Recognition, so MTs are getting trained on that, but not sure what percent will go that way.  It does affect how much work you may get though in the other accounts.
They are advertising for full time HIM now, do they still hire part time? nm
