As I've stated, I'm only sharing my experience with Precyse and have acknowledged that the experience of others may be different. 

To answer your question, I don't REFUSE to do ASR.  In fact, I'd like the opportunity to give it a try, but because I haven't been able to make my minimum line requirements in a while for the reasons that I've already stated it hasn't been extended to me. 

To address your statement that Precyse must not be all that bad because I'm still there, I didn't say it was 'all that bad.'  My focus was on the fact that I, and others that I know of, are not making a decent living wage there.  They have great managers, good team spirit, they treat their MT's with courtesy and respect, and have good affordable benefits in respect to the rest of the industry.  I, though, have just not found the money to be there. 

The OP asked for experiences and I gave her mine as honestly as I could. 

If you take 5 cpl and work set hours as an IC, then the MTSOs think everyone is willing to accept that and it makes us all look bad like we don't know what we're doing.  It is no different than offshoring in my opinion.  Offshore MTs will accept very little per line and work endlessly.  If every American MT decided to let MTSOs make demands on us as ICs, then we are giving in and have no reason to gripe about offshoring.  Does that explain it to ya' a little better?

It's the same as underbidding.  If the MTSO can get away with it, they will, because in the long run they save money.  Think about it for a minute and it will make sense.
