Tri-State transcription Service info?

Anyone with information, good or bad, for Tri-State Transcription Service out of Pittsburg Pa?  Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!

Is this the NY-based service? I live in NY, have lots of experience, and they

EMTS website, working for EMTS
Yes they have a website and you can send a resume on line. I suggest calling their toll free number directly.
I have tested for them, and hope they are as good as I have heard. Can anyone comment on EMTS and is it a good place to work for someone with a lot of experience and a family to support?
Unless something has changed, health insurance rates vary state by state, so we may not have the
info you need.  I'm an IC so I don't have benefits.
You are correct. The state that rules is the state the employee lives in.
My state laws has is spelled out in their Code. If another state does not withhold, they are fined heavily and if they don't withhold for years, their fines are pretty bad. I worked for a Florida co that did not withhold income tax for my state even after I brought it to their attention in the state code. They kept saying that they would eventually and never did. After two plus years and when I left, I made it known to my state all the conversations, the state refunded me all late fees they charged me and then said they were going after the company in Florida because they had many employees in our state. They deserved it. They knew better.
The state you live in or the state where the MTSO is located? nm
nm
If company is in state that has no state taxes
they are not required to take out state taxes.  It's enough to keep up with your own state tax law code, could you imagine having to stay abreast of 49 other state tax codes?  The cost would be huge and ultimately passed on to us by lower line rates.  Regardless of who owes the tax, someone has to pay it.  Just a matter of convenience I guess.
Not state by state, federal labor law - sm
and you don't have to be asked. If you work it, asked or not, they have to pay time and a half OT rate for hours worked over 40 in a week.

Taken right from U.S. Dept of Labor -
An employer who requires or PERMITS an employee to work overtime is generally required to pay the employee premium pay for such overtime work. Employees covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)MUST receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek of at least one and one-half times their regular rates of pay. The FLSA does not require overtime pay for work on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, or regular days of rest.

Extra pay for working weekends or nights is a matter of agreement between the employer and the employee (or the employee's representative). The FLSA does not require extra pay for weekend or night work or double time pay.

Different state to state. You would be surprised to find

IC can be defined differently state to state.  Even the IRS cannot come up with a definitive set of rules.  You would be surprised how many ICs actually get unemployment in some states.  If the unemployment claim form asks specifically if you are an independent contractor, do not lie, but if it does not, do not volunteer it.  Let the company prove you are a true IC according to the rules of your state.  All you lose is a few minutes filling out the claim form.  I would only do it as a last resort.  If you can find work fast, by all means go for it, but the way things are now with all the VR and off-shoring, it is a backup if you cannot find work.  No one should go hungry because they are afraid to file for Unemployment as an IC.

They should take out state taxes for the state
nm
It varies from state to state
nm
Varies from state to state
My own state recognizes partial unemployment, too, when your work gets cut down to half of your regular workload/income.
They must deduct FEDERAL taxes.. NOT STATE taxes.. if they took out state taxes.. it would be FLORID
which would only have to be refunded to you for you to pay YOUR state what you owe them which is nothing but a pain... be glad they weren't handling your state tax.. and I think in this case.. if someone at the IRS told you they have to deduct YOUR states taxes.. it is that person who is uneducated... they only have to deduce federal income tax

eMTS, sm

I'm just starting with them and so far they look and sound great!!  I'm very impressed with them and hope to be with them for a long, long time:)

EMTS

They are in Miami area, offshore, and have been around for some time.  Owner seems to be a decent sort.

Run run run
EMTS
To get to the website, by the way just type in your search engine EMTS medical transcription. I believe it is a e-MTS, but you will get there either way.

I saw a job post for eMTS.  It sounds really good.  How good is it?  Anybody working there that could give some inside scoop would be greatly appreciated!  I'm happy where I'm at, but I'm afraid I've about topped out money wise, and the work has been running out continuously for the past couple of months.  Help!
Still looking for....eMTS

I previously asked for information from MTs working for eMTS regarding your platform. Do you go through Citrex to entry the platform? What about your line count, give me a ballpark figure for a full day. Thanks

eMTS
Anyone working for eMTS please email me good, bad, ugly.  TIA

eMTS has been posting for jobs.  Anyone have any info on this company.  Please respond via post or e-mail.  Thanks in advance.

Any feedback on eMTS?

eMTS
Anyone start with eMTS ?  They were hiring not too long ago.  Wondering how they are.  Thanks.
EMTS
FANTASTIC COMPANY!!! Great people to work for who appreciate their MTs. Very very few ESLs. They will pay what they say they pay. They pay on time. They have great benefits. Very little turn over. They are only hiring because they are growing. I worked for services and hospitals for over 20 years and I can say this company is the BEST I have ever worked for.
Your quality has to be very good, and you must be reliable, but they will in turn be flexible to you, take great care of you and make sure that you are happy. Now CALL THEM, and FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF! EMTS is WONDERFUL!
emts
I love eMTS. I joined their group at the beginning of this year coming from MQ. What a difference! I truly can say that I enjoy being a Transcriptionist again whereas I was stagnating with MQ. These people really care and tons of work. They are flexible on schedules. Great pay, good benefits. I can't say enough about this firm. I work for the eMTS out of Florida. You have to be primo on your transcription, however, as they only hire the best of the best.

Do they still use CeQuence (sp)???
eMTS
Anyone work here or know about this company?  Thank you.
eMTS
I do not have any personal experience with this company but do have it on my list of potential employers if I need to make a move in the future. Somewhere along the line I heard they were a good company to check out. Sorry I cannot be more help though.
eMTS
Absolutely loved working for the company!!! The people are GREAT! Easy to work for and with! Paid on time, plenty of communication! I would go back to work for them but have moved and can only get satellite....sigh. Otherwise, I'd jump at the opportunity again!
eMTS
I have been working for them for almost 2 years coming from MQ. I simply love the people. There tell it like it is and are very supportive. Their QA people are all on the same page and you have open communication always. This is not just a company but a FAMILY to work with. I hope to be here always. Great benefits, bonuses, etcetera.
Anyone know anything about EMTS?

There is a new job posted on the job board advertising a $2000 sign-on bonus.  It doesn't say what you have to do to get the bonus, but the description sounds good (I know, they all sound good in writing!!).

I am wondering if any of you out there have any info about them?  I am with MQ now, not sure what the future holds with them!!

Also, how difficult is it to get a job with another company if you are not a certified MT?  I have been doing this for 11 years now, my mother-in-law owned her own MT business for 30+ years.  She sold her business to another company, eventually MQ bought them out.  Is there anyone out there who changed companies who was not certified?

Thanks for any info.  Have a good night.

MQ v eMTS
I was offered a job with MQ 2 years ago. But, I did some research and got frightened. So, I went with eMTS. I was on Cquence, and it was fine, but found that I like Chartscript better (which they have too for certain account). Just ask all the needed questions, tell them what you want, and try it out.. change is scary, but do research and somewhere out there will be the job for you. Good luck.
emTS
At eMTS you can work full time transcribing any schedule with benefits. They are hiring right now with 2K sign on bonus. Double check line rate and with or without spaces, as there are different platforms.
eMTS
Look on the board here, and also you can go to the website. Just type in Electronic Medical Transcription Inc in google. You can always e mail your resume and call as follow up. They are pretty good about asking questions. Good luck.
eMTS
Can anyone working for eMTS provide me with any information about how they are to work for, their honestly in line counts, integrity in treating their employees fairly, etc? Much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Cathy
Then, the MRC out of Fla would be EMTS.
I worked for them, they are truly wonderful and family oriented. Unfortunately, I worked long and hard to get line counts without spaces even at the higher rate. I often want to go back, but for me personally, if I get paid for spaces, headers, footers, etc. it feels better to see the bigger line counts even at half a cent less per line. If they paid for spaces and h/f, I'd go back there in a heartbeat, because they were the best MTSO ever to work for. I am sure the same will be true for MRC in Maryland. So, it is up to the individual, what they look for in their pay.
emts-software
I just recently started working for EMTS in January of this year.  Yes, I made the jump from MQ.  Anyway, it is simply a pleasure to work for this outfit.  They treat their transcriptionists with dignity and really appreciate their skills.  They are very patient and very informative as well as are always building you up through the probation phase.  It was hard going from DQS to Softweb but with diligence and hard work, I am now making much more in income than I was before.  I think the reason it was difficult for me was it is using MS-word and there was so much that I did not know about it but have learned so much in such a short amount of time and would never go back.  They will have to carry me out kicking and screaming, truly a great bunch of people to work with.
What does the eMTS stand for?
And do they have a web site? I am looking for a job and would really like to know more about them or how to send a resume. Thanks!
question about EMTS

I quit MQ and went to work for E-mts.  They have tons of work.  There are very few ESL doctors which is so wonderful and one of the main reasons I wanted to work for them not to mention the fact that they PAY FOR DOWN TIME.  If you have no work, THEY PAY YOU ANYWAY.  This is not just lip service.  Once in a while, my account will run out of work and I am paid down time.  You do have backup accounts also so down time is when their system is down usually but once in a while, you do run out of work but not very often.  I am making about 25% more than I was and I have only been with them for 6 months now.  They have wonderful QA staff and they also have a mentor who is with you for the first 3 months of your probation.  They use DSL  but you provide your own computer.  The software was something I was not familiar with.  That was the most tedious just getting used to the software as it is totally different than DQS but once you get the hang of it, it is a breeze.  You can work full time or part time.  They are great about time off also as long as they have some advanced warning.

It is such a wonderful change to work for a company that is not too big but big enough  that they can offer great benefits, health care, PTO, incentive bonuses as well as great feedback given in a very helpful manner (they treat you like a human being again).  Also, they pay you for every key stroke, header, footer, etc. I love working for them and truly enjoy being a Transcriptionist again and have pride in my work again.  Be prepared, however, they want quality work 98% or above in accuracy, no slop so really have to be on your toes but it really worth it.  I can't praise them enough.

EMTS followup
Well, I took your advice and went to EMTS. I will never look back. They restored my faith in working in transcription. You are correct. They are everything you say and more. Not only are they who they say they are, and do what they say but they treat you with RESPECT. Amazing isn't it? How being true to your word and treating a person with respect means so much these days. I highly recommend every qualified Transcriptionist and potential client check EMTS out. I am there to stay!
Wud you please e-mail me about eMTs.

I would like to know how much they pay for acute care MTs?

How much work is required per day?

Is the work a huge pool or do you have your own accounts?

Just curious about this company. . .

One thing more  - are these reports ro letters - I hate looking up addresses!!

Thanks

eMTS information

Would anyone please tell me if they work for eMTS using ChartScript and if so, what is the line count like, good, average. Do you think the count is right on their platform? Have been using the same platform for another company and just know the count is not like it should be. Please, any information would be helpful in making a decision regarding this.

eMTS or Transhealth

I have job offers from both eMTS and Transhealth.  Not sure which to go with.  I would appreciate any input.  Thanks!

Be careful with eMTS.
Good company to work for but pay not that good and watch the line counts.  They have complete control over what they say your lines are.  Have been there a year and am looking to leave, just wating for my last $500 of the $2000 bonus.
eMTS spaces pay
Some say they pay for spaces, some say they don't. In my past experience, they do not, and my line count disappeared over time. For example, a while back, I typed 24.3 minutes in an hour( I type fast and use Expanders and my own normals). I got 212 lines. Can you imagine that. Never found out why...
eMTS feedback
I have been there over a year now. They just switched me from overflow to working on a hospital system, and I am happy as a clam. Ask what kinds of work and platforms they have, what each pays, and they will set you up with what you want and what works for both of you. They keep their transcriptionists because they are happy MTs; obviously they care about the needs of their workers and they don't want turnover. My 2c.
EMTS people - sm

To be full-time, do you have to work a full 8 hours a day or do they let you finish when a certain line count is reached for that day?

Thanks.

Are you sure it's GMTS and not EMTS? nm

Anyone working with eMTS?

What platform do they use? Do they pay on time? Is there enough work? Any information would be helpful.  Thanks in advance.
