Does Webmedx automatically do an annual review process? sm

I recently had my 1-year anniversary and have not heard anything from anyone about a review.  I don't know if I should say anything to my STM yet or not.

Annual performance review criteria--hope it helps!
SC,

Good luck with getting the raise you deserve! I posted a couple days ago regarding my experience with my recent annual review and raise I received. With my company, the annual review is scored with 5 pts being the highest possible to achieve in 6 categories; quality, line requirements, attendance, % to QA, helping out, and communication. They award 1/4 cent/line if you have 4.5+ and 1/2 cent/line with a perfect score of 5/5. They only use the last 6 months of data to calculate total score.

In my experience, e-mails do not work! They are too easily lost and are forwarded to God knows who! Call your immediate supervisor and get their opinion and who to contact with this proposal. Good Luck!
Webmedx interview process
Can anyone give tell me about the interview process for Webmedx?  I have one soon and am so nervous.  I would appreciate any info out there!  Thank you!
Webmedx hiring process

I filled out the preliminary interview sheet and have not heard back yet.  How long does it take and do they notify you even if you don't meet their needs?

Thanks for any info.

Webmedx hiring process - how long?
Once you know you've passed, any idea how long it takes them to get back with you with an offer?

thanks :)
I meant billing process, not bill paying process.. sorry! nm

You all automatically assume my quality is low...? that is silly.
that is what I find disturbing. You all sound very anti-MT, in my opinion.

Rather than meet the issues (with the exception of perhaps 1 post) I brought up head-on, you turn it around on me, you have made everything personal, you have ganged up and attacked me with incorrect assumptions and rude comments that I am just burned out, and assumed I am a low-quality MT.

One year ago I was making about $16+/hour (on average), today transcribing more lines, I am averaging a little over $11/hour because of (I am told) staying competitive with almost third-world countries and technologies. Well, I do not want to do QA just to make more money.

That is not burn-out, that is trying to fight for something I believe in. Then I come to this boards, and read a lot of QA people posting how much they make, like $16/hour--what I used to make...

I would never work in QA just like I would never work in management. Already have done it and I am not interested. I enjoy just transcribing.

The great divide I talk about is extremely obvious in most of these posts here...how could anyone not see that, it is so clear.

I got blasted because I put in my opinion, but I got blasted personally.

What it sounds like to me is a lot of hostility from QA to MTs because you obviously have a lot of low-quality MTs. If that is the case, I apologize, but that is not me. I resent the implication that it is, just based on my opinions.

Every post on here has attacked me, and that to me proves my point a million times over...there is a big divide between QA and MT. Instead of just whining about how awful MTs are, and visa versa, something should be done to bring us together.

MTs are also editors and should be trained as such. Personally, I do not even leave many blanks, and those I do it is with great appreciation and respect that I ask QA to help me.

Working on VR, especially, we should all be QA and should all have those skills.

I also am referring a lot to bigger companies I have worked for who use QA as a tool to lower MT pay (even good MTs).

I have never said I do not make mistakes, either. If anyone read my posts I clearly agreed to constructive criticism and having QA to help when stuck on a report.

The tone of hearing QA complain about MTs, I just wanted to remind people that we are also hitting a report head-on, where we are also finding correct demographics, searching databases for doctor names, etc. Unless on VR, we are not just reading through an already transcribed report...

Also, if you all have such a terrible time with MTs, why not get with management and find a way to hire seasoned MTs or find ways to coach them.

The great divide is, in fact, just what someone rudely posted is the feeling of being disconnected. In all honesty you have to admit even if only to yourselves, all we hear is mostly negative, negative, all the time. We are not kept up to date on changes, they just happen. We have no voice, no say. Our jobs our in jeopardy every day, any minute they can be taken away, you can be fired, or not even fired, but work can just dry up for an MT who disagrees with management, or perhaps has questions. QA can make or break an MT just like a supervisor.

I worked at ______ and most of the QA people were sadistic, and could never agree even amongst themselves. They would torment MTs.

All my opinions, I stick to them...and all these posts have done for me is reconfirm a lot of what I have felt.
Work not automatically routed/pooled. s/m
On the accounts I am on, I choose the work type that needs to be transcribed first based on TAT. MDI trusts ME to make the right decisions/choices. They don't have to make it for me by pooling/routing all the work.
I know that they are going to be doing annual reviews now as sm
my supervisor was just telling me about them. Yes to raises but I think it depends on how high you start at. I went from 0.08 to 0.09 over a year, now slight higher.
Average annual income!
They all have lines and Keystrokes and little formulas but the average annual income tells it all.
Spheris--Annual Longevity bonus..
Noticed on MTJobs that Spheris' ad says they pay a longevity bonus.  I have been there nearly 5 years and they quit doing that when it was Edix and I never got one.  Is anyone receiving this now?  Maybe it is the Healthscribe side?
Yeah I did look it up and that is the way I took it.. 1x your annual salary..They do also have long
and short-term disability which may be of help if you are out of work for any length of time.
It is time for their annual over-hire frenzy. sm

Be warned that in about 4 months work will be low and you will be working every day to make lines.

QA review
I have just been there a week, do radiology and was only in QA for one week, today I'm out, 3-hour paid training is $200. I think pay is all dependent on experience and etc. line rate I believe is how many lines you type per hour.

Company review?

What does anyone know about Orion?

Here's a review from last summer.
http://forum.mtstars.com/company/v/1/74751.html
A good company will review them
A decent company knows which complaints are true and which are not and will want to weigh the validity of them. Yes, there are some chronic complainers. However, there are also some valid complaints repeatedly discussed here and some downright illegal employment activity complaints also discussed here. Were I an owner of a company, I would certainly WANT to hear feedback from my employees and attempt to come to some kind of reconciliation with them, if possible. If you ask me, this board shows how little communication is going on between employer and employee in this field and how little regard there is for the people who actually produce the work itself.

I posted a review within the past (sm)

week.  You should be able to find it if you search a page or two back.

I don't understand - are you still in Focused Review? sm
Error reports - you mean they are sending you feedback for your mistakes? or you are still formally being reviewed?
I work there and have never heard of someone being reviewed for a full couple of weeks.
review typed reports

The only way I know to review reports already typed is they go to QA for anything.  Of course, when new, the MT is on full QA.

It sounds like the OP is wanting as much info on DQS as possible, so here are a couple things I don't believe I saw in this thread.

Keep in mind that as new accounts are started, there will also be blanks left, usually for demo things, landmarks, etc., so that is a big help, too.

My LarTech Healthprime review
I have seen some older posts on Lartech Healthprime and I just wanted to give a good update/review on this company as I have 2 years of experience working for them.

Also I just wanted any out-of-work MTs to know that they hired me right out of training (I trained with At-Home Professions) but trust me, they have high standards when it comes to quality and they were patient, gave me a chance and helped me along the way.

My gripes (although this apparently is not LarTech's fault but the hospital account I work for) is that I get paid once a month and sometimes it is later than that, very inconsistent pay :(.

There is only two people I can get a hold of if I have any questions but they don't respond right away which is a downfall since my questions have to do with reports I am currently working on and I don't have time to sit around and lose TAT time waiting for them to get on, all communication is done via Yahoo messenger. They do respond to all E-mails, whether it takes them an hour or a day, they will get back to you.

They also do seem to have a problem with communication, for instance, I have been there for about a year and a half and I was only getting 7 cents standard, 3 cents editing and I asked them for a raise, he came back and said he already gave me a half cent raise and was surprised I didn't get that E-mail.

I know, the pay is super low, but I was out of school for a year looking for a job and nobody would give me a shot but they did and now I have 2 years of experience because of it, it beats the internship I almost chose to do for 6 months right?

Anyways, just wanted to get that info out there for any MT students looking to get their foot in the door, they gave me a chance from a very non-reputable school, why not you!

To clarify. I had a quality review
and the recruiter is the one who called me with the results.  I was asking specific questions about the review and certain items they couldn't answer.  Is this the norm?  I've been an MT for a while but have worked mostly for my own accounts.  Working for a transcription company is a new experience for me.  I just thought it odd that someone could tell me what I was doing wrong but couldn't explain why?
Review of Transcend for Those Trying to Decide...
First, sympathies to all of you at MDI. Been there, experienced it, it's pretty hellish to be involved in a merger on the best of days.

I've been with Transcend for some time now, and these are the points to consider:

The people are nice for the most part. I know that sounds like damning with faint praise, but I do have to say the TLs and upper management aren't asses about taking time off, helping with QA, etc.. when you can find someone to answer your e-mail.

The dictators aren't terrible. The worst ESLs dictate very rarely, so you only have to deal with them every now and then.

The platform is okay. Could be worse, could be better. I don't like it one bit personally, but to each her own.

Now for the other side of things...

There's no work. The jobs come in VERY slowly; it's the norm for me to log in to find maybe ten jobs waiting for an entire shift. I've spent many a shift checking every hour (as per company direction) to find myself wasting hours sitting at my computer surfing the internet. Yes, you can request secondary accounts... only to find yourself staring at another screen with no work on it. If you're willing to work on five to six accounts, you may be able to make the minimum line count, but I watch the numbers on ALL accounts and they're ALL very low on a consistent basis, so this is doubtful.

It's extremely unlikely you'll make the minimum to qualify for insurance or the sign-on bonus (if MDI-ers are being offered this).

Communication is very poor. It's the norm to send multiple e-mails about an issue to get no reply. The TLs and TMs change constantly and you're not informed.

If you don't make the minimum FT line requirements, you'll be sent letters of commitment which are basically written warnings about lack of production. If you inform them that you'd LIKE to make production but there's NO WORK with which to do so, even on your SECONDARY account, the answer is Try to get on another secondary, but for now we need you to sign this letter and return it. Basically, that translates as You're not making minimum because there's no work, but we're still giving you a warning. After this letter of commitment, they will give you one pay period to achieve the 900$ FT rate, then drop you to PT.

I'm making roughly 500$ PPP right now - started out making around 700$ PPP and watched it steadily decline (instead of increase) as the workload shrank.

I'm sticking it out for another couple of months and then I'm off to other pastures.

Hope this helps someone trying to decide about Transcend. Best of luck to you all, wherever you end up.
Passed in Feb 2008-CMT Review Guide

Wondering. Normal to have your quality review
delivered and discussed with you by the company's recruiter?
NJPR is in NJ, not NY, stands for North Jersey Physicians Review I believe,
try googling for a web page, I am quite sure they have one, you can the info and I think a phone number there to call.
My experience exact opposite- Me willing work 6 days, regular sched, 100% QA last review- Company: N
Me: Ready, willing and able to work 6 days a week, regular schedule, 100% QA my last review, on all ESL's doctors.

Companies: No work. All ESL work. All the worst dictators. No work, did I mention that. Don't want to buy new software or any software to help the MT. Ridiculous formatting rules to decrease my line count. Low line count rate. No holiday pay. Have to work holidays.

Your post was way, way out of line. Maybe you work for a great company, SO tell us who it is.

I've tried 10 companies in 10 years, and they were all the same. Pick my brain and make me work hard, hard, hard for ? 150 lines an hour with ALL ESL, poor sound quality, and then don't really want to pay for the 150 lines, want to jiggle and wiggle it down to 120 or less with rules.
Does FutureNet give annual raises or any type of raises? nm

QA process.....sm
Read on another board that someone was fired because of QA without warning.  Is this new QA system they were talking about at Transolutions?  Very interested in knowing if this is the same company.  Also very interested in hearing from other radiology MTs who current work there.  Would like to know their platform and line/report rate before I waste my/their time testing.  TIA
Want to know the whole process...
You need to send an E-mail to your PS giving your resignation.  If you do not hear back within 2 days, call her (Most likely, you will need to make this call).  They will try to talk you into staying.  You may hear from HER supervisor as well.  Make sure you ask about getting compensated for all unused PTO.  Hope this helps.  (It is definitely a wise move....trust me).
The "easing out process."
Has anyone been eased out of QT? I believe this is what is happening to me, but if anyone has gone through this, could you please comment...less and less work, having to call repeatedly to get work, benefits problems...etc., that sort of thing or am I just paranoid?  I am not calling and asking to speak with anyone in particular because I know what they will say...it is a matter of not wanting to fire outright but making things pretty miserable...you know what I mean.
How long did the process take
After you send a resume and tested, what happened after that and how long did things take?
Not my experience. Best process I have gone through.
Had the most complete interview any company had given. The test was thorough and not long. The training process allowed me to ask what I need to ask. I love my assigned accounts.
Does anyone know what their testing process is like? nm

Testing process
Just wondering if anyone else thinks that taking an actual transcription test that consists of a total of 6 different voice files is a bit too much.   Three maybe, but six (6)?!!!  IMO they should be able to tell if you are any good at just giving 3 different ones.  Any opinions on this matter?  M
What is their testing process like? NM

process time
I sent my resume Sun p.m., received an email from KS with general info Mon a.m., then they sent an email with a list of questions(which I thought was great) and I immediately replied. They called me this morning to offer me the position! I have everything I need to get started so I just have to wait for HR to send paperwork - probably Monday I will start.
I'm also in the interview process and...
I was told about the new ortho account coming up too. I don't know about other areas, but ortho seems to have plenty of work.
I am going through the hiring process with MDI-MD right now and have ???s. sm
We are not talking money yet and before I go too far into it, I have a few questions.

Do they really treat you as an IC or do they hold you to a schedule?

Is there work available in the early morning, say 5 a.m. EST?

What is the rate range for VR editing and is the platform good?
The hiring process is very SLOW!
The training sucks! The platform is a joke, not very MT friendly, IMO. I am about a month in and I am looking for another job.

Oh and I have never posted about this company. I read the negative posts and thought the same; all coming from the same person. My experience has been more negative than positive.
to the post above - the hiring process is
EXTENSIVE regardless of whether you are a hospital employee or a regular employee. You have to go through a physical, drug testing, background check, criminal background check, etc.
I'm in the process of accepting a position with them. SM
They didn't say anything about a turn-around time, thought, so maybe this varies by account.  I liked the sound of the account I'm going to be doing and so I'm going for it.  I wish the pay was a little higher, but I always wish that!  I actually didn't ask about raises - didn't think about it.  I'm not really much help, am I? lol
I'm in the process of leaving mine right now!
I have great accounts, great doctors, an awesome editor, and my pay is always accurate and on time. Unfortunately, the owner won't respond to my repeated requests for a raise in CPL. (Not even a yes or no or maybe or in a few months--nothing!) Instead, I'm getting more and more operative reports, which I love, but when you're making far too little, well, sometimes you just have to move on. I'll miss them, but I don't think I'll regret it.
TransTech - application process

Can any experienced Transtech employees fill me in on the process of getting a job with TransTech? Did you need to follow up your application with an email, or is that too pestering? If they contacted you, how long did it take after you applied? Any other things you could fill me in on would be appreciated. I would really like to have some contact with this company.

Thanks!

Application process/testing
I am starting to think that all of this application and testing is a waste of my time! You spend hours at your desk and seem to get nowhere and not even get hired!
ATSI - hiring process
I do not like the recruiting manager/QA manager (initials PT). She really screwed me bad. I have no respect for her. I am glad I am not working there. You are right, I am blessed! Thank you for your input. Have a wonderful holiday!!!
Wondering about the training process at MDI-MD...SM
What is it like and for how long? Do you get an hourly rate while learning? Any info would be good. Is it extremely complicated to get used to the system?
Transform testing process ?

I took the test last Fri p.m. for Transform and at the end of the test it says they will get back with you in 24 hours.  (I'm not expecting that over the weekend obviously.)  That same evening, I emailed the person that had invited me to take their test and let her know I had completed the test.  Just curious how long it really takes them to get back with you and if they get back with you even if you didn't pass.

Thanks for the info.  Have a BEAUTIFUL day!

Tips on the application process
Good morning! Never give any information not asked for. If they don't ask if you have books, don't tell them. There are so many ways of researching on-line until you get the books that you would have been fine. Never, never say what you won't do until you actually talk to the recruiter after testing and they see you are going to be a quality employee. Then when you're specifically asked about scheduling during your job offer, say you'd prefer not to work Sundays. During the application process, when they ask if you are willing to work weekends, I always put yes, but for me this means Saturday. During my job interview/offer, that's when I let them know I prefer Sundays off. Maybe this will help for next time, along with prayer. (Oh please Father, I want this job, please, please, please). lol

I've worked for 3 different companies in the last 12 years and have always received replies to a job opening. The next time you apply, send a followup email the next day on the status of your application. I did this the very next day with all three companies. That is not being pushy...it's just letting them know you seriously want this job and are excited to know your status. Good luck, Dreamer! :)
It was a very long and tedious process
I almost didn't do it, but then did. I didn't realize it was virtually unpassable. I would not give my SS# either, they can have that upon employment, not before. Never heard back from them.
