    They're apparently just hiring for Radiology, though. Fatcat is correct about them not hiring for acute care or clinic at this time, as far as I know.

    If you do radiology transcription, I'd strongly suggest applying. Great place to work.

    I end up on some strange lists when I do but I really am interested in Keystrokes. I have heard good things and bad and have weighed it out but this kind of cryptic message intrigues me. I just know that whatever happens, I am happy to go with a company that does not outsource and is very open about being against it. I have been burned by two hospitals and two services with offshore transcription.

    Can anyone give me information regarding this company? I applied to them over the internet and heard from them and now cannot find an official site for them because I am not sure of the actual company name even though I've googled.

    Please, it's probably some shady and incompetent offshore MTSO replying to you as 4 different names to try and get your transcription work and they spoofed the headers to make it look to you like they are inside the USA, so that's why replying to the emails doesn't work.  Forget these 4 candidates for jobs because they don't exist.


    Anyone can make up an email address.
    If someone knew the OP's email address and made their own account to make it look identical, it would be a valid email account.  If OP's email was maryjones12222@hotmail.com, anyone could make an email account as maryjones1222@hotmail.com or maryjone12222@hotmail.com.  It would be a valid account, but it wouldn't be the OP's account.  It doesn't mean it would be undeliverable.

    Your new company sounds exciting and I am looking for a new job, either part-time or full time as my current job is not offering me enough work. I wonder if you would be kind enough to give me some details? I understood you are doing radiology. I would prefer op notes. Do you know if there are still openings and if they offer clinic or op or acute care? I have 30 years experience in all the above and more. Thanks for any help you can offer and good luck to you!

    and tell me on average how many lines you can do in an hour? I know there are a lot of variables to consider but it would give me some idea of what I might expect too. I have 28 years experience and consider myself quite good, but I know sometimes the software, demographics, etc. can slow you down. Also, is there a lot of work on the accounts? I like to do about 2000 lines a day. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

    It is important that each reader and poster understand the safety of their information on MTStars: 


    Email Addresses


    Email addresses should never be typed into a post in any way.  The email address you validate to have posting privileges is never given or sold to any individual, group, company or association. 


    You may receive emails to that address from others using the Reply By Email option on one of your posts.  If you receive an email through the MTStars board, it will provide the URL to the post it is referencing.  Your email address is still not exposed at this point.  The person sending an email does not see your email address but has simply filled in an online form to send you the email.  If you choose to reply to the email sent to you, then you have actively chosen to expose your email address to the person emailing you. 


    MTStars does not recommend that you respond to any unsolicited email unless you are certain of the validity of the sender.  Anyone can send you an email through the Reply By Email option on any post you make.  It will go to the email address you used to validate that post.


    IP Addresses


    Your IP address is private and confidential.  It is never given or sold to any individual, group, company or association. 


    Depending on the email agent you use, if you respond to an email sent to you (or if you send an email to someone outside of the MTStars board at any time), your IP address may be traceable through your email. 


    Can companies or individuals find out your identity? 


    Yes.  Not through exposure of your information (email or IP address) but through recognizing situations you describe or other information provided by you when you post.  It is deductive reasoning.  If YOU provide enough information, you may be effectively “signing” your post.  This is true on any board, whether open publicly or not.  Even private boards cannot guarantee who their membership really is. 


    Do companies and associations read MTStars?


    Yes.  Anyone can read MTStars.  Information posted is searchable on the Internet.  Even a private board can be read by anyone who registers as a member. 


    Making claims that MTStars provides, gives, exposes or sells your email address or IP address is a libelous claim and will not be tolerated.

    Who in the world would give you any info other than an email address?
    With most of the flaky ads, no one knows who they are applying to, or what will be done with their info.  Their is no way I would give you my address or phone number, unless I know you are a real company, with a website and and and address and a phone number of your own.  Most ads do not even include this, and there is no way I am giving you my private info, other than an anonymous email address.
    if only a punctuation mark in an email address is wrong,

    Well I just re-sent my resume to the corrected email address he gave.
    I just got it back saying it is undeliverable. Makes me wonder what type of company this is if they can't get their email straight.

    Contract concern
    I am wondering why it would state the MT is working for 2 companiies and that the first company (OSI) should they not pay, then the second company (Alpha) only being liable for minimum wage.  That sounds fishy.  It is a violation of federal law to not pay, and to sign the contract, is that not my agreeing to only accepting minimum wage regardless of what I would truly be owed should OSi decide not to pay?

    and I can assure you that I am in no way shape or form a management person, nor do I work for TT. I was just curious as to the wording of the filing, is all. I could care less about names or anything else. I just wanted to know where to look, and I guess you have sort of answered that for me, which I appreciate. I did research a prior lawsuit on a different company in the past beginning with a K, and I do believe that company won their suit, but I do not believe it was defamation, if I remember right, but maybe false termination or some such. I am also concerned that transcription companies suing transcriptionists is going to become a trend. I surely hope not, and I am surely behind the OP 100 percent. Thanks for an honest answer, anyway.
    Thank you for your concern, let me explain
    the reason for my original post. I work at an MTSO that does not require weekends. I receive 8.5 per line for text and 6.5 for speech. Better than most. I love my company. I just happened to look at a few job openings to see what is out there in the market. I submitted a few resumes, and this company seemed appealing, so I pursued it a little further. Not even sure I would have accepted even without the weekend work. I have learned a few lessons today. I work for a wonderful company that seems better than most, and I will stop looking. I am glad to know that my company probably is one of the best out there, so it was not like I needed this job. So everyone can bash me all they want. They don't know my circumstances. I am in a situation that I can accept where and what job I want to. I have a wonderful husband who works hard for his family, so I can also choose not to work. Also, I never once said that I will NEVER work a weekend. I work weekends at this job if/when I have time, but it is purely voluntarily. I do not have a schedule during the week either, work when I want to. I have learned today that my job really respects the term IC. I also get annual raises. Great QA staff. So all of you bashing me, you never knew my circumstances to begin with, apparently I have it great! So go ahead with the bashing now, because I am sure there is more you can pick apart from this post. Glad to know I am so popular today! I am laughing my butt off! This has been so entertaining. Oh ya, and I am one of those who loves speech.....let more bashing begin!

    That's my biggest concern, too
    The time clock - that's what I really want to know about. How flexible is flexible? Does that just mean you can pick how to split your shift but still have to be at your desk set hours? Maybe a current Transcender can answer that for us.

    I understand that pay rate is case by case. A range would have been nice, but I suppose if they had said something like 7 to 9 cpl and you are offered 7 you may be mad since you know they pay others higher, so maybe they'll never tell us an exact scale.

    I'm waiting to talk to HR before deciding on what to do. Pay is very important, but is still a secondary concern for me next to truly flexible schedule.

    It's just that no one on the board here can really verify one way or the other if there is a real problem. I realize you just want others to say what type of counter they use to see if another program squares with TTs figures or yours.

    If it makes you feel any better, I have taken note of your concerns. If I spot a discrepancy I will let you know (after advising TT of course), but frankly - the amount of discrepancy appears to be just a few dollars. It took me a long time to find TT and overall they are a good company, so for 'me' it would not be worth arguing over - especially since they are adamant they are counting fairly...

    It seems to me after all this discussion that the would immediately seek out and fix any true deficiency with the counter...

    I guess they had some HIPPA violations when somebody wasn't cleaning out there clipboard. When I preview reports in MEDITECH, they look just fine. I don't know what to do ....
