Never have and never will. The day they do is the day I quit because I never have worked for a company that offshored and I never will.

The thing is, if we just "suck it up" and send the work offshore to lower sm
the rates, there will be no work for U.S. MT's. There are plenty of hospitals and doctors that do not want their work offshore to keep us all in shoes.

Seems to be that only negative posts are allowed on this thread! If I wanted my name recognized by MDI, I would have posted it, but that's not what I'm here for. I've often thought about posting before, but never have because I knew this is what I would get for it, but that's okay...I'm still happy at MDI!

offshore - most companies send
only what their current staff cannot get done or if the hospital specifically demands it - how does this take away from the MT or is it the fault of the MTSO?? I think everyone is angry at the wrong party - - everyone (companies and MTs) do what the hospitals are demanding
No they do not send offshore, but they do give

We should ALL be receiving the same emails at all times when sent out to MT's -- not just a certain group of MT's.
At least management doesn't send emails about SM
the weight of their MTs and the fact the health insurance plan is whereby you will pay out of pocket for your healthcare. Believe me, MQ, SoftScript and many other places don't seem bad in comparison.

HEY! Ever thought about sending a small box of your home-made SOMETHING-OR-OTHER to your colleagues who sit in a modular Dilbert-kinda home office all day and put out fire after fire as well as answering phone calls ad infinitum? These are people like you and me. So okay, some MTs are focused on receiving holiday greetings, with your nose out of joint if you don't. Did you send your employer a Christmas card? Or call and wish one of your contacts Happy Holidays? Were you an enthusiastic MT who occasionally thanked the company for putting bread on the table? Consider the possibility that because you did not receive a token item, your company was able to contribute to those who have no roof over their head or a cabbage doll to hug when the world seems so frightening.

Dont bother. Not enough work to go around. People are quitting.
I guess at this rate, they may be hiring if everyone ends up quitting due to lack of work. They will come on here and state that we should just call the office and you will get put on another account. That is a joke. We have all tried that and you get ignored.

You send the work in using their program, yes. I never ran out of work sm
but I was just working part-time, and this was about a year ago, so things could have changed. Isabelle and everyone seem so caring, it is hard to believe that they would consistently have MTs without work, but that seems to be a curse of the industry lately.

Is there any company out there where you can download work in batches and send back transcribed reports in batches? I can only get dialup and it is too slow to do 1-3 jobs at a time. 30+ years experience, big 4 and Radiology, Medical and Radiation Oncology. I am currently employed in hospital radiology department but want to go back home. Hate this winter driving!!!
