and pay $42 per pay period. The coverage is with First Health and they do offer coverage in all states. Good prescription drug coverage also ($10 copay). Hope this helps.

I pay approximately $113 per pay period for single coverage, $1000 deductible.
Hope this helps.
Is OSI's the cost family coverage fairly reasonable or sky-high? nm

Benefits deducted, no coverage. ADP
ADP normally processes payroll and payroll deductions which are functions separate from the administration of one's benefit plans.  However, payroll deduction is the proof that your enrollment application was submitted and processed by the payroll administrator.  Therefore, keep the pay stubs to prove that you have the coverage.

Your first step should be to contact your employer and ask to either speak with or be given the telephone number of the person responsible for the ADMINISTRATION of your benefit plan.

Then contact this company, get the name of the person that handles your employer's group, tell this person of your problem, and finally request an enrollment card be mailed via overnight delivery to preclude a continuation of failed coverage acknowledgment.  As an option so you can have immediate use of benefits, ask the group administrator for the telephone where your dentist's billing clerk can call to verify coverage.   Verify that the administrator has your current mailing address.

If you have any continued difficulty with getting the underwriter to work with you, simply advise that you are considering the filing of a formal complaint with the State Insurance Department if the matter is not resolved within the next five work days.  This threat is usually good enough to get action.

desperately need medical benefits, prescription coverage...sm
Can anyone recommend the companies that have good, solid, affordable medical coverage that has excellent prescription coverage for a single mom.  Thank you for all your replies in advance.  I need to get going on this ASAP.
Precyse looks like they have excellent benefits. (sm)
I see they are only hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts, but it sure sounds good.  In the past I saw posts about them over-hiring, but that seems to be the norm with most companies now.  Any other recent input on them?  Do they allow split shifts?
Axolotl has excellent benefits, but
If you want any bit of flexiblity outside of your schedule, forget it.  Want a day off, that's a joke without getting harrassed for it.  If you make any mistakes you are told about it in a negative nonhelpful way and the platform is the worst I have ever been on and I've been an MT for many many years.  I quit and could never meet their standards, never had a problem elsewhere.  Way to stressful, not worth the grandiose benefits.  If you don't want to feel like you a worthless piece of crud, go elsewhere.
Thank you. Could you elaborate on the benefits, offer single medical coverage or family, PTO etc...
Thanks
Is $15.00 per hour with excellent benefits good pay for a pathology transcriptionist
There is an ad in my local newspaper for this position, and I am considering applying.  It doesn't mention anything about incentive, so I doubt that there is any, but the way the transcription industry is going, I think this may be my best shot for the next 15 years.  As I turned 50 yesterday and looking to retire at 65.  They have pension plan and 401K with match, long and short term disability.
Fairly flexible but they do like a schedule. Insurance is good. Benefits are good in my opinion.

For the past week, work has been a little slower but I think that is common in every company..some days busy and other not.

I love MT, but I am also so glad hubby has steady income and excellent benefits!
He retired with 20 years in the air force and has a retirement check from that, as well as standard and very basic benefits that we can use without paying a whole lot. He has worked full time since retiring from the air force (he was 40 when he got his 20) with excellent pay and awesome benefits that we pay a very low premium for. I used to make excellent cash as an MT when being paid on a gross line, but now I make maybe 20K a year with no benefits of any kind from my job. Now my income just supplements his and is for the extras we enjoy.
What's the deductible?
what is the deductible?
Thanks! It wasn't deductible at all when I was an IC. sm
But I will never work as an IC again and I could not get an independent policy anyway, having had cancer and ongoing therapy.  A lot of MTs are in this position with either age, a serious disease, such as hypertension, diabetes, etc.  It just isn't that easy to get self-insured anymore.  That's why I don't understand companies who don't offer benefits.  The last figures I saw, benefits were worth about 1.5 cents a line.  Something to figure in when considering great wages.  Thanks for the information.
$1000 deductible
I'm single and I pay $75 per period for the $1000 deductible, $25 office visit.  There is also a $2000 deductible option that a single person would pay $37.50 per pay period, $30 office visit.
2500 deductible
Does this still have the 2500 deductible? Doesnt pay copays to doctor visits either?
$80 for $500 deductible, cheaper w/
.
actually I need to clarify the deductible sm
thing. It is a 4000 for hubby and I. But, they give you a benny account that has $3000 in the account. You can use it for your deductibles which would leave you with $1000 out of pocket. You can also use it to pay for medications but medications do not come off your deductible so if you use it all for that, you could get in a mess if you have a hospitalization. You would have to pay 4000. If you don't use the money it carries from year to year. So its not as bad as it sounds.

As far as the lady who wanted what Canada has; I understand her frustration. But, you would be waiting forever just to have a simple x-ray or MRI and forget surgery. Canadian health care system is not all that great, that's why lots of those folks come here.

I can't say I know the answer, but that is not it. Its a sad thing in this country though the health care situation
high deductible for medical
the basic plan has a 3000 deductible and costs $20 per pay or you can get 'better' coverage with a 2500 deductible or 1500 deductible. naturally these cost more per pay period as well. Other than that all the other benefits are decent and the night shift people start earning PTO immediately and can use it after 90 days, as opposed to 1st and 2nd shift who have to wait a year.
Various high deductible plans when
Back in 12/05, they had 3 high deductible plans, lowest deductible of which was $1500. Believe it was 1st of month after 90 days when it kicked in. Don't know if it's changed since then.
$15 copay for PCP visits, $750 deductible. nm

Large deductible and everything out of pocket.

I pay $140 a month total for $500 deductible-WMX

BC/BS with $1K deductible, dental is normal sm
coverage and as the person below pointed out, you are wrong on the PTO.  Also, last year we were allowed to choose a plan with a lower deductible and pay for it and that choice was not given to us this year.  Why don't you try telling the truth about Webmedx instead of prettying up everything?
I think you're confusing the deductible with the premium. sm

Family coverage is not $1000 a month in premiums.

Can you tell me if this is for good insurance, deductible, copay etc..??
I had a good rate before when I had insurance but the deductible was $5000 and no copay so it wasnt worth it.
you don't have to be IC to deduct that - just do an itemized 1040 and it is deductible even if yo

MTSOs with insurance deductible 1000 or less? nm

you must be fairly new
because if you had been there since Aug you would have mentioned how they lied about giving us a quality incentive and then failed to give it. They hire new people to train them way before they bring on accounts and you end up not having work and then getting bombarded because they put the new people on your accounts to train. There is definitely better out there. I know, I just found better believe me. Spend some time there and you will see what I mean. Yes they do leave you alone but they also use you with no remorse. The reason why they haven't hassled you about not making your line count is because they know they are taking your work away from you and using it to train new people and they lost most of their QA people and supervisors a few months ago. There isn't anyone out there to keep track of your lines, but that too will change and you will get a very nasty warning if you have a problem in that area. If you read the Nov. newsletter there was a warning about how MTs who don't make their lines only force hospitals to give their jobs to the overseas MTs and to bear that in mind if you don't work your hours or make your lines... Its not hard to put 2 and 2 together. Its a sad place and it hasn't changed in almost 5 years.
Fairly new also and
last week was the first time I hit 35 hours. I am experiencing everything that you are. I think they are overstaffed.
that's probably not what it is then, cause I'm fairly new and
only part-time. And if nobody else got anything, then it's probably something else. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. Sorry to get everybody excited for nothing. I hope it's not a mistake on my bank's part. I'll do some detective work and find out who's trying to give me money.
I'm fairly new to MDI - but I was just

wondering - what's the QA like after you get through probation?

I'm still in the training/probation period.  Do they tell you at the end if they're keeping you or not?  If they keep you, how close of contact do they keep with you after that?

Just curious.

Should be fairly soon....
I believe they are quite busy right now because there are a ton of new accounts and we are busy busy!!! They are really good about being thorough however and I would think you will hear from them soon. I love it there, for what it is worth... If anyone else is going to apply and needs a referral, let me know... Jolena
I'm still fairly new, but nothing has ever been
said to me about not making line count.  I can't see how they can fire you when you don't have the work to make your lines.  If you aren't making line count and there is enough work then yes you may be terminated, though they will work with you to try to improve before that happens.
AARP was $800 per month, single. $1000 deductible. SM
I know personal insurance is reasonable for people under 50, really I do, but I'm not under 50, I'll be 60 in June. I have checked all over and, even with spousal insurance, it is 800-850. There is an insurance crisis in this country of epic proprotions and I don't see it being solved anytime soon.

I'm willing to pay well for my insurance, even though I am healthy now, but not 800 and up and those didn't even cover a yearly PE. Even my crummy Spheris insurance pays for that.
They also seem fairly flexible. sm
I was quite impressed with what they had to say and they are the best offer I've had since I started looking around 3 months ago.

Thanks again.
I will, I am fairly new, 4 weeks. nm

It is fairly easy to use
I have been using MP Count for a while now and I believe that MP Tools will be just as easy to use. Also, if you have any issues or questions, Vann Joe is always readily available to help you. (He is the person who developed the software and I believe that Emmaus is his company). Anyway, do not be afraid of throwing your $ away, because I know from experience that Vann Joe will be able to help if you have any questions regarding the new product.
I have to agree. Considering TT is a fairly
new company (est. 2001), the benefit package they offer current employees is quite good when compared to other longer established companies. I'm sure that as the company continues to grow and prosper, benefits will increase for the MTs (as has been the case in the past). I always feel greatly appreciated for my efforts.
If you just did this fairly recently..
Please be patient. Management is currently moving into a new office and it could be disrupting the phones/e-mails. I would give it a few more days. I work for them typing radiology and absolutely love it!
I'm fairly new and trying to get any information
is like pulling teeth.   If that is the only problem it could be worse, but it is very frustrating.
I'm fairly new to KS, but I know they are adding
2 new accounts by February, so there should be lots of work.   The account I am on is fairly new and still working out all the kinks, but right now there is a lot of work available on it too, so you might want to talk to your lead or Lee and ask for more work.
is the deductible for insurance still 2500 bucks w/ no copay for doc visit?
That is the sole reason I quit. That and the fact they switched me from account to account as soon as I started making a decent line rate with one.

They also have the ability to slow down how fast you can download files. They slipped and told me that it was to help control traffic on the server.
Alltype, is this a fairly good
company?
Test was really fairly easy. (sm)
I expected there to be some really difficult accents, but they weren't.

Good luck.
Ahh, "I thought" I had seen that name fairly recent.
The MTStars should not allow further job ad posting without a currrent location addres. We do sent out pretty personal ID info, (signed contract info), name, address, phone, SS#, BD, voided check for direct deposit, Driver Lic etc. That is scary. Sorry they did this to you.

mndscriberz@longlines.com

There is quite a bit of fairly recent discussion (sm)
try going to the search box farther up on the page, just make sure the MTStars radio button is marked (not Google, type JLG in the box. (for some reason the other search thing never works for me either)
With Transtech insurance, do you have to meet deductible before office visits are covered? nm
nm
I thought the deductible was 500 vs 1000 (gold vs silver) but I guess I better go check! sm
As for policy levels, yes, you can get coverage as a single; as a couple; and self / family, with concurrent cost changes. Dental is great too.

Now, where did I put a copy of my BCBS plan... hmmm!
Any fairly recent Med-Scribe information?

I don't see anything more recent than 6/05 in the archives.  I think this one is in Floriday, but don't know for sure.  Web site sounds great.

That seems pretty low to me, esp. for your exp and it's IC., even though Psych is fairly simple.
I guess it would work for some; everyone has different needs. I sure wouldn't take it.

But if you decide to, I wish you happiness in your new job.
Platform is fairly easy to learn, pay is

low/average, trainers/supervisor are helpful (at least the ones I've dealt with have been), bennies 35+ weeks.

I would not work there. I did and found out they were not paying me fairly. sm
They are not a good company to work for.
