ExecuScribe: Archives mixed...sm

In response to my query on MT Stars, an Execuscribe recruiter contacted me inviting me to take their online test.  I decided to search the archives for info about this company before going through the testing process.  The result was mixed reactions, but mostly positive.  Can anyone out there give me any current info on this company?  For one thing, do they still require you to have a C-phone?  Thanks in advance for your help!

Mixed
I worked there quite a while, email me privately :)
Mixed up a little? (sm)
You complain about MTSO's wanting to tell you when to work and how they will pay you, which is pretty standard in this industry, but then you complain about companies not paying a decent wage and no raises - now hear this - as an IC, you have to be willing to work when the work is available, for the going rate, and there are no wages and certainly no raises. You trade wages and raises for the freedom of not being an employee. It's like when you hire a plumber (an IC) - you don't want them coming to fix your sink at 3 a.m. just because they couldn't sleep, do you? Do you hear them complaining about their wages and asking for a raise? No, it's a business. Try acting like a professional and quit whining.
Not mixed up...
It's not an IC thing here...you try to pay all MTs low wages, like what we were making 20 years ago! What are you saying, you pay your employees more than your ICs? WRONG! You pay as little as you can to everyone to make more $$ for yourself.

And by the way, it is EXTREMELY professional to want to be paid what our skill set is worth...why do you think plumbers make over $25 and hour!?
You must have this mixed up with

I know she has me mixed up and I sm
have told her several times. Obviously she doesn't have enough decency to admit she made a mistake. I guess they just like tearing people up. Sorry, but nobody raining on my parade today!!!!!!!
there have been mixed opinions
but I have had nothing but a great experience working here. I am very happy with them.
You kinow, I get mixed messages with that.
There have been job applications that want to know every single thing, even what were you doing when you were unemployed, and they want the dates for that. I have had people complain when I didn't. However, I would rather put job experience pertaining to the position I am trying to get.

can be a bit confusing
I got the call, too. Mixed feelings here, too, but (sm)
my deep-seated distrust of all large companies of any type causes me to be worried. The call was upbeat, but I guess all we can do is wait and see what happens. This did kinda ruin my day, though.........
do they still have the cphone accounts mixed in
with internet accounts? Thank you.
major mixed messages!
I think Larry must have left that one out in the conference I was in yesterday. It is hard to know if issues are purposefully being clouded (so we don't leave right away) or if like you say, they just really don't know. I would like know to the truth about whether CB, DJ, etc did only find out a few days ago. I guess ultimately it really doesn't matter does it.

Yes, and even if they are saying IC and SE are available, you are right, everything is followed with the foreseeable future disclaimer, or I think or I believe. I know with MQ, eventually SE gave way to IC which gave way to total employee no choice, stay or go. .... ....
Ya know what? I started doing VR about 5 years ago mixed with standard and

really did okay, bout 80% VR.  Not sure what it is but lately the reports are coming in such a mess and such bad quality I am now not able to make a decent line count.  I believe  the push was on and they added facilities way too fast without everything being in place and lots of docs needing to learn how to use the durn thing and the system not used to the dictators (and with some dictators never will) that these accounts are now really so bad MY counts are even way less on VR  than they were 5 years ago.  The system has to have so many reports in to make the words come up correctly in future reports but is supposed to eventually get used to things.  But like I said, way to big a rush and push for VR and I don't believe companies or the system were ready.

BUT the sellers of these systems who make quite the profit don't care and the MTSOs certainly don't care that we make such a pittance being paid by the line or if we can pay our bills and probably never will.  As MTs, we are certainly taking the brunt of all of this.  Pathetic.  Wonder what they will all do when more and more MTs move on to a job they can make a living at and the hospitals tell them they can't offshore???

Your message is too mixed. Either you want to know the good, or you want to know the negative. Pick
one topic and maybe you'll get more informative responses. Otherwise, you're just setting the stage for more battle by your wording, and everyone is just tired of fighting right now.
tera nova transcription? Good, bad? Mixed reviews. nm

Fast Chart pay. Anyone know if they pay decent? I have heard mixed reveiws and not sure what to
think.  Do they pay on time?
I've heard mixed things about MediTech platform...can anyone weight in on (sm)
its pros and cons? I'm going to be learning it in my new job soon. I couldn't find much in the archives that is very recent. Thanks.

Current info on Diskriter?? Past info was very mixed. Either MTs hated it or liked it, does anyone

love working there and why? Do you easily meet your incentive pay or as past people have said, the ESL are so bad that you never meet the line count. I need current and new information. Isnt there a company out there that has a handful of happy employees or does all of them have both the haters and lovers. It is so hard to sort out fact from fiction sometimes and all of us have different expectations. It kind of goes along with the one man's junk is another man's treasures theory, I suppose.

Execuscribe Mon-Fri
Their line commitment minimum is 4000 and you need a c-phone but can work days Mon - Fri. So far so good for me..i'm an employee.

Well, I actually was curious and drove to my local Wegman's to get a copy of RBJ.  Huge article, fairly presented facts, very informative.    No wonder she made "impassioned plea" to editor to not run the story.   Millions in fraud, self-dealing, and unjust enrichment, padded billings, defrauding creditors, fruadulent conveyance, along with other charges/convictions.   Changing your business name several times in 10 or so years.   Now in a $400,000+ home -- guess it beats the view from a jail cell!

Yah, thanks for putting the rest of us honest MTSOs in a negative light.  Smooth move....

I researched this company, too.  But, after reading the Business Journal article -- which is all fact, not just somebody's opinion --- I decided it was in my best interest as an MT with hopefully a long career ahead of me, not to associate myself with a many-time convicted criminal.  People have long memories on this stuff.  But, that's just my opinion.
Execuscribe
Rochester Business Journal dated 7/22/05. Interesting article about fraud convictions. Worth getting a copy of if you are considering employment there.

I live in the same town as Execuscribe and did not hear anything about legal problems. Can anyone point me in the direction of finding out?
Execuscribe
Thanks I will go check the library for a back issue of this magazine so I can read it myself. As an ex-MTSO whose business she took away, I'd like to read this. I've heard that her largest client is going to a fill in the blank type form and laptops for the doctors (from one of the doctors who work for the client) so we will see how long the company will stay a Fortune 500 company now.
Execuscribe
She paid Kodak an UNDISCLOSED AMOUT OF MONEY. Now, as the article said at the end, they are HOME FREE, yes a half millon dollar home free!

Tom Y. worked at Kodak in finances and was accused of making false payments to Execuscribe, owned by his wife. He was also sending business to people who were paying him a CUTBACK to do so, rather than the cheapest/best people for Kodak.

She was accused of being part of the MASTER PLAN.

She tried desperately in the end to put the company assests into her sons' names, but the court overruled on it.

So she eventually settled out of court and paid Kodak what they wanted. That was a private court case. The CRIMINAL CASE against Tom only was thrown out due to him having the best criminal lawyer in town who kept stalling and then the court said too much time had passed by. Otherwise, he may have done jail time, or at least community service and be on parole.

Anyone know anything about this company?  Benefits, etc.?
Execuscribe
Has anyone had experience with Execuscribe. They are going to offer me a job.  I now work fulltime at an office and wonder whether I am making a mistake to go with them.
ExecuScribe

Has anyone worked for ExecuScribe.  Need some feedback on the company.

ExecuScribe
ExecuScribe allows you to use Shorthand.
Execuscribe
Does anyone have any information good or bad regarding this company? I noticed in some older posts from 2004 that they require you to carry worker's comp insurance - do they still do this?
Execuscribe
Yikes! That's pretty low. Thanks so much for the info!
Execuscribe
I have been working with Execuscribe for almost 1 year.  Pay may not be great, but they do count other things which other companies do not - i.e., bolding, capitals, italics, et cetera are counted as double letters.  I checked into other companies and actually made more with ExecuScribe because of their added counting.  They now have vacation although it takes a while to be able to take any time off.  Currently we use the C-Phone (although they are phasing that out), Fusion and I'm not sure what else since those are the two that I use (I work on two different accounts).  Hope this helps.
Execuscribe
Could anyone from Execuscribe tell me about the benefits offered?  Thanks in advance!
Execuscribe
I used to work for Execuscribe and live in the same city...low pay, slow pay and last fall a lot of the management team left to go back and transcribe elsewhere.  Paying on time got better when everyone was made employee but the pay went way down.  Their major account I have heard is giving all new docs laptops and using EMR so they are probably losing them department by department.  Hope this helps.
Execuscribe?
Any comments on how this company is to work for and general rate of pay, dictators, etc.?
ExecuScribe
Anyone have any info on this company.  Would appreciate anything.  Thanks!
ExecuScribe
Can anyone tell me anything about this company via email?  Anything would be great.

Does anybody have any information regarding Execuscribe, Rochester, NY ?  If so, thanks in advance
Execuscribe
I live in the same town as Execuscribe and know the owner, though haven't talked to her in a couple years but as far as I know the company is owned by her and her husband.  THey do have a website.  Wouldn't it say there.
Execuscribe? Anyone know anything? TIA

ExecuScribe
I did take the test, but after I did some research in the archives I read that they do credit checks and background checks.  I have nothing to hide but I do not feel there is any reason for them to have that personal information.  Does anybody know if this is true?
RBJ story on EXECUSCRIBE

Anybody read the Rochester (NY) Business Journal from 7/22 story on Execuscribe???

Interesting story from court records on company's history of fraud convictions.  She SHOULD be "giving back to community" as she squeaked by jail time and/or community service on a technicality.

Thanks for making it that much tougher for the rest of us !

Just my opinion.

Not sure if this will get you the full 2-page story --- but absolutely worth spending the $1.75 to get the paper if it does not.
