okay, your emails finally came and I responded
x
Thanks to all who responded! SM

I will definitely ride it out, knowing about the time of year, and use it to build speed with the new work, etc.  Glad I posted; I'm a better frame of mind now about the lack of work.

Thank you to everyone who responded!
I appreciate all of your responses to my dilemna.  I will give it more time and hold onto my old job for now also.  Thank you to everyone and Happy Holidays!
Thanks to all who responded....
Think I'll pass and not waste my time with the interview.
Thanks, I responded. :)
xx
Thanks so much to everyone that responded, I did

Go and apply with this company and received a *ticket.*  I received a message that stated that they would be in touch with me when and if they started hiring and if I met their criteria, fingers crossed.  Are you working for them now?

Thanks to all the wonderful MTs who have responded to the ads
as well as to all those who have been with us awhile. Sue and I, along with Wendy and Vikki, Nancie, Diane, Pat, and the rest of the staff are so grateful to everyone who helps make this a great place to work and a success. We are very happy that so many new MTs will be joining us.
I know I applied with them, and they never responded.
x
I responded privately, thank you.
.
I sent my resume and he responded
back with an email asking if I would be interested in testing. I emailed back and said I didn't mind and asked for their website. He emailed back with their website and said HR would be contacting me soon.

Guess I'll have to wait and see how long that takes! Good luck to you though.
Look further down this post. She responded
yesterday - Bright Universe.
Blackswan, sorry nobody has responded.
I have no idea about Orion, though I know there were recent posts here about them. Oracle has always had a negative response. I know I had signed on with them years ago and was so excited and thrilled. Then everything went wrong tech and set up wise. I remember I had to buy PC anywhere, something like that, and then never got my training, dates set and broken by them, etc. That seems to be the norm. Landmark - very low work volumes, and don't pay for spaces. MTs come and go regularly, as accounts seem to come and go regularly. I have always heard fine for PT, but not for full time.
I have not responded yet. It was suggested that
we should let them know when we were ready to train. I figure when It gets to the point when I am not getting my required lines for the pay period, I will left them know I need the training.
I responded for more VR and am getting less work sm
period on my primary account. I spend most times on my secondary and am just making the 11,000 line count per payperiod. I had been hoping to pick up enough extra to make the incentives but that is out of the question. My paycheck is really hurting. I can't work like this much longer.
I'm the person you responded to sm
the milk is for my daughter.  Should I have just told her there is no milk and have her use water in her cereal?  You are absolutely heartless to ridicule a situation like mine or any other person's.
To the person who responded RE: Key Transcription in ND
I looked in the archives and on MT Spot and didn't find anything.  Did you work for them previously?  If so, would it be okay if I emailed you?  If not, could you possibly provide a link to any past threads about this company?  I'd greatly appreciate it.  I've been offered a position with Key, but I'm having second thoughts, especially since I saw your post.  Thanks.
Sorry, I had not had coffee when I responded earlier ... sm
best of luck to you too. I'm sorry that you are having to go through all this. I think most of us just want to work hard and do a good job and be treated fairly by our employers. Seems so simple, but in my experience it has been hard to find. I'm moving on and hopefully will have found a better employer.
To Mary who responded by e-mail (sm)
Thank you.  I tried to send a brief message back to you at your e-mail address twice but it came back.  Thanks for the info.
They responded to my resume within 24-hours and
within 3 days of submitting resume I had an offer.   I submitted resume through their website, was unsure if they were even hiring.
Nandan has been told many times. He never has responded to
what he was told. They had a great team the Spring of 2004 and all left and what was left in management were the remnants with an owner of a co that they purchased from her, so she was it! Everyone else had to listen to her jibberish and kiss her b*tt!!

Good people got away, management caliber. Sad, but that's how they operate
I can only assume that the company which has not responded is either of the opinion that (sm)
if you are seriously interested in the position, you will find a way to take the test -- wav pedal or not, or just haven't had time to respond yet.  I've tested without a pedal and, while yes it is more time consuming, it can be done. As far as the dial up is concerned, I would think that if sent them an email requesting their system requirements, the information would be divulged, within a day or so.
Nice that they responded, but would've saved..sm
I get that they are relatively new, but with nothing at all coming up on Google search (not even a phone listing), it's understandable why people questioned. I still think it's strange there is literally nothing available online, even using her name and variations, but the address seems to be an office building of sorts, so that seems plausible.

Good luck to those who applied. I hope it ends up being a diamond in the rough. :)
I accidentally responded to wrong person
I got trigger-finger happy hehe
I emailed you before for info about KS and you have not responded. I am looking for information sm
on them, and you said that you had a reason for their high turnover. I am trying to make a decision this weekend. ***
Once upon a time, a surgeon responded to my concerns
The girls were tearing up the 3 surgeons up one side and down the other. And OMG, what they had to say about the office manager!!! I felt they were betraying the man who fed them. So...I went into his office and said, Dr., the morale is very low, the office staff are very upset, threatening to find new jobs and I thought it should be addressed during a staff meeting.

His response was: Do not pay attention to what they say. Venting is a necessary part of being a part of the work force (when you are an employee). The doctor brushed it off,did not want to hear the details and he did not really care who was the instigator. He felt that as long as they showed up on time, held up their end of the load and were pleasant with the patients (anorectal surgeons - ouch).

That office staff who whined and complained and ridiculed was with the surgical team for over 10 years - An RN, 2 front office, insurance cler and med Records gal.

Huge Bonuses (which say THANK YOU!) at Christmas brought momentary pleasantness but come mid January, they'd start again, feeding off each other, like a bunch of women at a Sewing Circle (have you seen the pic on this website depicting us as women in a sewing circle, dear?)

Bottom line - it is harmless. If money is there and then not there, without warning, a person who is not complaining about it is the one I'd be curious about.
I think you know what I meant. That is not the problem as I responded directly to her email.

I am sure that any other company that tried to respond to her also had the same problem. I know it is sbcglobal.net but hey, I am not on here to get QA'd.  I in a very quick moment put up a message to an MT who wanted a job and did it very quickly in the middle of my busy schedule trying to be courteous and helpful.

Have a nice evening or was that eneving.  :)

Don't know if they even exist. I live right here in NY and they've never responded to my resum
s
I e-mailed them and responded back almost immediately, offered low pay. 45 minute interview. nm

Yes, I have 2 emails you can use
to contact Keystrokes directly. They are BKeystrokes@aol.com and LKeystrokes@aol.com

Good luck to you. We can use another good MT! :)
I got 2 emails from them, both for different
positions. I never heard of them much less applied. I deleted the emails.
Well, when you get emails from the
and other gramatical errors, makes you wonder!!!!
Got those emails and also got
She said that I was not working and that I had better get on the system and work!  Yuk!  That stuff is hard to tolerate on your day off.  I have worked my schedule and certainly had my lines in for the pay period and still get this type of uncalled for email!
LOL would you like to see my emails?
/
too many emails??!!
i get an average of 3 a day.
Same here. Way too many emails. nm

Emails
I don't have a problem with it. I don't care about talking with anyone else anyway. Had enough of that working in the hospital atmosphere. All it amounts to is a bunch of criticism and gossip. I love this. I work well independently and could care less about talking to anyone. It's like a breath of fresh air to me. Anything I need to say or get an answer for is and can be handled by emailing back and forth and so far it's worked fine with no problems whatsoever. There are always message boards you can talk to others on.
Not only did I get emails, but... sm
About4 weeks after I had left and already started with my new company, I got yet another email, but this one asked why I had not done my required lines for that pay period!! I answered that one, telling them that I had already left MQ and I doubt I would ever reach their required lines. Needless to say, that was the end of the emails :)
no emails
I think they must be glad I'm gone. LOL Haven't heard a word from them except a letter telling me someone will call me for an exit interview/survey.
TT emails
No problems overall for me. I was told to be sure to communicate with them always through TT official email because they don't read personal emails--they just delete them. Before I knew that, I had once emailed my supervisor about a family emergency via my personal email b/c I was out of town and didn't have access to my work PC. I didn't get in trouble b/c they are very understanding about family medical crises and always email back with wishes for speedy recovery for employee or sick family member.
Same Emails.
I know EXACTLY the company you are working for, based on the greeting on the email.  I am feeling pressure as well, and its getting to me. You're not alone.  I already work 7 days a week, so don't know how much more I can help, if ya know what I mean.
emails
I've gotten the emails on the weekends I have off sometimes that ask for everyone to come help, but if it's my scheduled day off and I have things going on I don't and no one has ever confronted me about it or asked me to explain myself. They just send out an email the next day that says thanks to everyone who pitched in yesterday. But you're right - keep the clients happy or the company may lose the account. That's true of all companies.
emails
I know what she was talking about with the emails saying to stretch and reminding people we have to make time sacrifices to keep the clients happy and keep our jobs. It just depends on what account you are on. Some accounts are low and there is no need to email the team and twist their arm a bit to work extra, but other accounts get backlogged, especially starting Friday afternoon and into the weekend, and those teams get the emails. It's not a matter of acute versus clinic, it's just which accounts get busy and backlogged.
Please add me to your list of emails!

I have not typed out my email address due to my email making it obvious of who I am to my current employer but would really appreciate it if you could click on my email link and send some information to me also!

Thank you for your help and your willingness to share information!

I beg to differ about the emails sm
Not sure what you mean by "since certain people are gone now," but those goofy, slightly threatening emails have started up again. How many so far today, 5 perhaps? They have been toned down on the nastiness somewhat, but they look like they were written by an ESL: poor grammar, not spellchecked, improper use of the apostrophe - and this from an alleged long-time MT/QA (or at least that is my understanding)!

And, no, these goofy emails don't have a direct effect on my work, but I just find them annoying, heavy-handed, and unprofessional.

And speaking of ESL, I think you forgot to mention the extremely high volume of ESL involved in working at SS.

I'm seeing emails asking MTs to work OT.
Work is definitely available on quite a few accounts.
I have an applicant who has sent me I do not know how many emails

and inside the email has not put a resume, just a blurb about themself (which is impressive), no phone number, and when I try to reply, the email bounces back saying that it is not a valid email.  It matches the name of the applicant, but IF you are a job applicant who has not received a response to your email, please be sure you are including the correct information.  I can tell you that the email carrier is sbgclobal.net

I will not name any names or initials, but if you have applied at any companies and received no response, this could be the reason why.

Thanks.

I have gotten some emails from the posts below

from some very professional MTs telling me they were embarrassed regarding some of the responses from their fellow MTs.  Thank you.  I wanted to let you know that it is appreciated.

On another note, the recruiter calling herself Hiring Manager is not me and I want to let you know that some of what she says may be true regarding resumes, etc. as we all get those, BUT I do not agree with the way she presented herself.  I also do not agree with the fact that she is addressing the readers as honey.  That to me is rather condescending and I do not treat any of the people who apply with me in a condescending tone.  I have written them to request additional information because the newer MTs are learning.  None of us in this MT world, recruiters included are not perfect.  The whole entire field on a day-to-day basis is a learning experience.

The other recruiter says she only works 8:30 to 4:30 M-F.  Well, good for her, but I wonder if she is on the west coast.  That might work if she is a west coast recruiter, but east coast recruiters have to expand our day to accommodate those on the west coast.  I know my days go late for those who work outside their homes and live on the west coast.  They have to come home, have dinner and then they have time to do a phone interview.

The other recruiter said some true things, but I do believe she presented them as a gripe...and I guess we as recruiters have those days, but it should have been presented as a pointer if they wanted to help someone.

I personally have devised a way to do a resume that works if anyone needs any tips. Most of you who have done this long enough know.

For the woman who has no resume, that is a requirement.  Through the years I ran into one lady without a resume and she never could seem to put one together and she was a qualified applicant, but that is something we need.  If you only had a few jobs, you would not have had to put together much.  When you apply for a job, expect to get a resume.  If you have been fortunate to have jobs come to you, that is good.  I have had that happen too so I do know the reasons why a resume would not be needed, but be prepared in case it is because it can cost you a job if you don't have one.

About the cutesy email addresses, I am with the other recruiter on that one.  It totally can take away from a good resume.  It will not keep you from being hired, but sometimes I felt kind of silling addressing someone's email address that was one of those cutesy ones.  We have the tools in place to have email addresses, utilize them.  We do not care if you are a scout leader, mother of 4 lovely children, etc.  We care that you are an MT or QA and are a pro.  Know when to use that cutesy email address.

OK.  I did not mean to put the other recruiter down.  I can imagine that she had a trying day yesterday receiving all of which all us recruiters receive.  It's a multiple choice out there as far as jobs and I think we all receive the same resumes.

I just wanted to thank those who were thoughtful enough to let me know privately that they did not condone some of the unprofessional remarks made by the MTs.  The same goes for recruiters. I do not like to see an MT put down with a name like honey.  That bothered me and I noticed in more than one post by the recruiter.  It seemed sarcastic, which was entirely unnecessary even if someone had been sarcastic to her.

Me too. They sent me 3 emails that they want to talk to me..but..sm
I emailed them back 3 times and have not heard from them.
They ignore both IM AND emails sm
Emails are usually ignored.  As for IM, usually ignored also except for 1 person, who is good at answering but she's lower down the pole and isn't the contact person for some of the stuff.  She's the only good one there.
What threatening emails?

That was keep emails LIMITED.
