Thank you, Hayseed!

Thank you for being understanding and not bashing me.  I realize that nothing is all bad or all good, and each of us has our own experience with a given company.  You may love the same ones that I hate and vice versa.  It's all part of the human experience.

Hayseed...
Do you still work for Deventure?
hayseed- you oughta

have a doctor check out that thing growing on your neck.

Hayseed is right on with Meditech
When it dumps you lose reports.  Make sure to go out and save the long ones every so many paragraphs or else you may not be able to recover.  Recover is a feature but it is not something all hospitals pay for.  Upgrades help but not always.  Meditech spellcheck is not a medical spell check.  You're best bet if typing on Meditech is to go hourly.  Line count is not really an option.  Plus there is a card you can put over your F-keys along the top of your keyboard.  I learned this on-site.  I was trying to train someone for back-up and they didn't have the card for their F-keys and it was hard to train that way as well.  The card helps with the functionality of the F-keys. UGGGH, I'm getting chills thinking about those days of Meditech...
Hayseed, question for you sm
Your comment about the insurance caught my eye. Is it affordable for 2, or do you just insure yourself? Thanks!
To Hayseed - does Deventure have any
TIA
question for you Hayseed,
Did you find it hard to get used to the etymotic er6 style going so far into your ear? I looked seriously at them but didn't think i'd like that part...
HAYSEED, again me, about Tracphone

I have never had a cell phone before.  What about getting a phone number when you receive it and how hard is it to set up?  I hate spending even 39.00 and not be able to set it up.  Thanks in advance.

Hayseed: A bumpkin, a yokel
I'm simple like that
Hayseed, it won't be long until you feel sm
relieved to be transcribing verbatim. AAMT approves light editing, but an MT must KNOW how to do that. The newer MTs are not experts in grammar like we were required to be BEFORE becoming an MT. Mention the parts of speech to new MTs and you get a blank look in response. Talk about diagramming a sentence, and you might as well be talking nuclear science. Like you said, the boss is the one who signs the check. Our job now is to transcribe what they say, and it's up to the dictator to make him/herself clear.

We're no longer being paid enough to assume responsibility of transcription AND editing.

Good post, Hayseed!
I considered them at one point as well b/c of Hayseed...
Even have a folder on my email with our communication, but I respect our Red Gate Farm girl and they just dropped down very far on my list. Shame on THEM...
Hayseed - Whereyabeen? We were missing you.
xx
Hayseed - Did you finally leave the big D?
xx
There have been payment problems with them. Hayseed
used to work for them but quit.  Don't know if she has posted any of that here or just on another board.
Agree with Hayseed. How ridiculous is that. Someone comes on here asking questions or help and they
are criticized in a very childish way. If you do not feel you can offer an honest opinion or intend on helping anyone at all, then you should probably not respond at all.
