it says 64 dollars a pay period, below
nm
Ok it is about 64 dollars a pay period for a single person. This is from sm
someone who works here. That also is for the gold plan like I have. That's pretty good.
As below, they do to full time people making 900 dollars per pay period. nm
nm
10,0001 lines per pay period for FT with benefits. nm

I get no benefits where I work and I do 1500-1700 rad reports a pay period. sm
This is the norm, not the exception. If a rad Transcriptionist cannot do 20-25 reports an hour, they need to look at a different field.
I love my job but I think I lost my insurance benefits. Has anyone else not met the pay period quota
one time and had their insurance taken away? I think it happened to me. I fell short this payperiod on my time ($90) as I was ill for a couple of days and had no PTO time to use. Now, my insurance premiums were not taken out so I am afraid they canceled my insurance, which was the largest reason I have stayed. I needed the good insurance etc..not to mention that I just like working there and my supervisors. I did make more than enough for them to have taken out the premiums so I feel like this was just an excuse to cancel it. Now, if I have to wait another 120 days to qualify again, I will have to end up quitting and that is not a great feeling, but I know I can get a job somewhere else and not have to wait so long to have insurance again. I'm just sickened. I can't believe they would do this in one pay period. I work 7 days a week usually, all hours of the day and night and I just can't grasp they would do this. I have worked there over 2 years. So, do they really do this, for anyone who has had this happen before. Maybe, they are just suspending the insurance this pay period but I don't see how they can stop it one pay period and start it back in 2 weeks on the next pay period. Anyway, stressed out!!!
sorry, but 10cpl with benefits is very hard to find

Is the MDI-FL BeyondTxt as bad as the Transcend BeyondTxt?

part-time IC is 5000/pay period and full time IC is 10,000 per pay period. Need to talk with
recruiter about cpl, I'm sure it varies with experience.
*just two thousand dollars*...
... minus attorney's fees, right?
Okay, 400 LPH is 16 dollars and hour,
Not for me.
uh - that's 200 dollars the first day, not lines. nm
.
I just won a million dollars!
I found one on her computer! Now I can buy out Medquist and return it to pre-2006! No more ASR, no cesspool and each of you only will have one primary and a secondary and generous quarterly bonuses which you can actually GET!
dollars to donuts...
that Nuance is also Indian owned. Just a feeling I get. They just have a better U.S. store front.

I just hate to see other MT/QA people get snookered by them. Time will tell, though. Time will tell.
Wow, buy hundreds of dollars
worth of equipment for 6 cpl for them to decide during the probationary period that you weren't going to work out for them?  No thanks.
Equals $21.44 US dollars nm
nm
Cymed Dictation Dollars
Does anybody know what these are?  Is this something new that we haven't been told about yet?  It seems that since they are posting this as a benefit for new-hires that they should inform their current employees about it, or am I dreaming?
"Just two thousand dollars"
I hope you are joking right. That is a lot of money. As a single mom that would probably get me kicked out of my house for not paying rent and get me in trouble for my car payment, cause my utilities to be off, etc. To most of us that is a lot of money. Simple two grand does not describe it for me if that happened to me.
Yes, is that 4000 dollars a month? If so,
At 6 cpl, you must've transcribed around 67,000 lines in that month. Now, do you have any idea what you could've made somewhere else? Well, at 8 cpl, you would've made around $5,360 and at 9 cpl, you would've made $6,030. You are soooo undercutting yourself by staying at a job that only pays 6 cpl.

Oh, and by the way, assuming you work approx. 40 hours a week, you must transcribe upwards of 400 lph. Most companies would LOVE to have someone that fast on board and would pay a whole lot more than 6 cpl for such a high producer!!! You should really check your options.
Anywhere from 13-15 dollars per hour to start

depending upon whether you are working in a hospital or a private practice.  Private practices are going to pay more, but will probably use Word as opposed to Meditech.  I'm on the East Coast.

Okie. Just trying to save someone a few dollars. nm

Wouldn't do QA again for a million dollars. (sm)
Biggest challenge - keeping your sanity while having to fix crappy work over and over and over again while meeting impossible deadlines for really low pay. Believe me, if you can be an MT, you'd be better off financially and mentally. Oh, and no one is going to pay me a million dollars, so I feel confident in saying that. :) Why on earth would you want to transition to QA? Did someone tell you it's a step up??? Reevaluate that statement by searching the archives for commentary on QA problems. There was a long discussion on here a few weeks ago about it. Good luck to you. Choose wisely!
that must be a typo. 3 dollars and 50 cents a line???
x
what company pays 17 dollars an hour?
JLG pays 21 dollars an hour, that is a fact.
Old posts say they pay late and only in Canadian dollars, not US money. nm
s
8.5-9 means cents per line, not dollars per hour. nm
x
That would be an extra 50 to 100 dollars in addition to lines and a half. nm
nm
4000 lines a month of dollars? Either of which is not that great! So, what are you bragging about?

BeyondTxt
I don't work for Transcribe but I do work for MDI-FL on the BeyondTxt platform. I love it. Just like working in word with all the bells and whistles. Most of the Transcend work is or will be going to VR and I don't like editing so I am staying with MDI who assures us they will not be going to VR anytime soon. Hope this helps.
I am on BeyondTXT and it is okay...
I do love the company. They are very helpful and everyone has been really nice. Each person is different though, and I have seen good and bad about most companies on here. I have been with Transcend about two years and my experience has been a good one.
MDI-FL/BeyondTXT
BeyondTXT is not as productive as we were promised.  My line counts have decreased and, of course, so has my income.  It's not making me as happy as I was before the new software was instituted.  Hope that helps to answer your question.
BeyondTXT

I am QA at Transcend, but on the ExText platform.  I thought that nothing could beat ExText, but I was trained on the BT platform last week so that I can help out when my own work is low.  BT was amazing--I was really impressed with the resources it provided to MTs.  If I ever went back to full-time MT, I would definitely ask to transfer to that side of the company.

Sorry that I can't really provide a comparison of eScription, but I just wanted to chime in as someone who was completely loyal to a different platform.  I've worked with other platforms developed by companies and have never been very impressed--usually they are cumbersome and aren't really user-friendly or productive for the MT.  However, I think that BeyondTxt is all of that.  :)

Good luck, whichever you choose!

I actually liked BeyondTXT....
I worked there about a year ago. I quit b/c they got really strict with their schedules and thats not I signed up for. However, right when I quit I met someone who just started working for them, on a different account from mine and with a different supervisor, and she said that the schedules weren't strict at all for her.

All in all, I had a good experience with Transcend and I would go back if a strict, tight schedule was okay for me.
Beyondtxt
I work soley on radiology but do use beyondtxt to get voice. I LOVE IT! You see all the work available unlike the Lanier and DVI box. You don't have to use your home phone line. Everything is over the internet.

Sorry, I can't give you any other information on the typing platform with beyondtxt. I have seen it and it does look like a pretty nice platform to work on.
And out of 3 different VR platforms, their BeyondTxt
Bad sound quality, way too many problems.
MDI-FL BeyondTxt is the same thing as

nm

Any info on BeyondTXT
Considering working for service that uses BeyondTXT.  Any +/- info on its merits, ease of use, etc?   Can MT work directly in own MSWord retaining use of expanders and such?  Thanks for any feedback.
Best expander for BeyondTXT
I know this comes with ShortCuts which seems okay but has anyone found another you think is a better fit? TIA.
I work on Aim and BeyondTxt and have so much to

do that I could stay busy 24/7 if my bod would hold up.  I appreciate a slow down occasionally, but not happening this week.

My advice to you --  learn the various platforms and be willing to switch accounts, etc.  You will never run out of work.

Help I need answers on BeyondTXT
Can someone please tell me if you can get decent lines using the VR portion of BeyondTXT.  I am being offered 4.5 cents.  I have never done VR before.  How does it compare to say 300 lph of straight typing?  I just want to make sure I am making similar income to what I have always made.  I got the hospital calling me soon and I am so confused!!!
Extext and Beyondtxt are not the same
Most of Transcend work is on BeyondTxt and it has its problems.
Why not give BeyondTXT a try
I've been on it and it's not that bad once you get the hang of it.  I believe most of the work is on BT and I'm usually swamped with work. Why bash something based on what a few unhappy people have posted?
They downloaded BeyondTxt
for me to use, and it was not compatible with MS word.
Transcend/BeyondTXT? sm
I have read in the archives where they were saying this platform was not user friendly and they had a hard time making money.  Have things changed concerning the BeyondTXT program?  Does anybody have anything good to say about it now?  Thanks for the info.
Beyondtxt info?...sm
I'm about to try the Beyondtxt platform, can anyone give some good info about it currently besides the one above? I've been working on editscript and I hate it, hoping Beyondtxt will be much better. I'd appreciate any feedback anyone can provide:)
Nervous about BeyondTXT
We are getting ready to go to BeyondTXT and I am really concerned about what I have seen with the program not showing cc's, doctor signatures, patient names.  It tells me that clicking and researching this stuff we will not be paid for any of it.  Also, I am thinking when it goes to VR there will be too much editing since I do not think the program will know the difference between here and hear, and their and there, etc.  It also looks like we will be fixing where the headings and info goes, not to mention all the clicking here, there and everywhere.  Since it is not in word I will have to start the word Expanders again I suppose.  I hope I am wrong since I have not started using it yet, but am very nervous.  I hear you when you say you are worried about losing your benefits as I am in the same boat.
Is there anyone out there that can say they just LOVE BeyondTXT? nm
Thanks for any opinions out there!
I am sorry to hear you will be using BeyondTXT. sm
One of the things I hate about it is you have to do a spell check after each report; no red line to clue you in to words that are not spelled right.  There are just too many things to slow you down about this program in my opinion.
I would be afraid to lose my safety net if I needed X amount of dollars to live. I am sitting here
now out of work with 3 major hospitals in my pool and I think if a lot of people all want to work the same hours this may be a big problem because they cant keep it straight now so I would be very leery of this until you see how it is going to go. I work for Amherst and this is a chronic problem with no work.
Anyone working on BeyondTXT with MDI-FL? Would like to hear from you
How do you like your accounts, are you running out of work or is there plenty.  Do you like the BeyondTXT as a transcription platform, etc.
Anyone else find BeyondTxt awful to
use?  I have used other programs that are simple to use but this one is the worst nightmare I have ever seen.  How do you make any money working on it?   Also, the training and the support is almost nonexistant.
