not take any 2nd (or 3rd) jobs, if they're gonna pay so lousy. They know full well that MT wages are too low for most MTs to survive without either a partner/spouse and a second household income, or else a second job.
I can see if they ask you to sign a contract stating you won't work a second job for one of their clients (that you could possibly 'steal'). But if you have your own accounts, or work as an employee for another MTSO, then too bad for them for not paying you enough (or giving you enough work) to be employed solely by them.
