I only MT PT now

as I can't afford to be an MT FT.  I transcribe on the weekends so I can pay the bills off a bit sooner/save a little for retirement since my 401K has tanked.  A lot of the freedom to set your own schedule and the good pay from the old days has fallen by the wayside.  The MTSOs are much more demanding, pay a lot less and want you to rigidly adhere to your schedule.

Why don't you test the waters and do PT before you jump back in?  Another thing, I can't type 40+ hours a week anymore because of the beating my body has taken over the years from MTing.

I am salaried,have paid time off, vacation, holidays, 401K, sick time, health, dental & vision benefits with my non-MT job and I don't feel like I have a gun to my head trying to get enough work done because I'm not on production anymore.  It IS a GREAT feeling!
