I have worked for the past 15 years as an IC and now recently been hired by Focus Infomatics. I am an employee there now, but started out initially as an IC. There are companies out there who do hire - you just need to just keep looking. Try Focus - they are great - nobody bothering you, just work when you want, always have access to help, I really like it. And you can do part-time work no problem.
