I guess it's too late now, being that was one of the reasons why I left also, but if I ever get another job that deals with Bayscribe, I will do that. Thanks for the heads up! :)
This is the best way to insert any command in Shorthand
Press Control+K and a box pops up that says: The next key typed will be the key assigned to the shortcut. Press the command key, i.e., Control+B for bold, control+U for underline, etc., and hit enter. A box will come up, make sure the correct command key is checked (ALT, control, or shift), or if backspace, etc., no command key. Hit okay. Then enter the word/phrase, etc. Repeat if the command to discontinue the bold, underline, etc.
No, they have not. (insert angry face here)

I talked with a few other MTs and nada.  In my mind, this is just a really mean thing to do and there's absolutely no reason for it other than to be plain mean.  The lady who was in charge of this stuff before had them out by January 3rd.

No end-of-year bonus either or even just a nice card....something that was always appreciated.  Team that up with constant lack of work, a noose that gets tighter and tighter as far as big brother watching, and you have a company that has gone waaaay downhill as far as respect for it's employees goes.

Gosh, just trying to insert a little humor. Doncha

It gives you a screen so you can insert your resume and email address.

World Wide
I have heard of World Wide in NJ, but not in NY.  If it is the same company, they now also call themselves Metro.  If this is the same company, I don't how much work they have right now, but I do know they are nice to work for, nice people, office manager is very nice.
Hysterical icon
Love the icon, (except that Native Americans are generally *not* cut throat...)

That aside, anytime a mega-MTSO gets caught up in the minutia of resume details, or if you know what XXX stands for, then they and I are likely *not* going to be a fit.

I CAN TRANSCRIBE, accrately (joke) ACCURATELY. I RARELY GET SICK. I care about the work. I will give you 110% effort in return for honesty and fairness. What more do you need to know? Stop communicating via cyberspace and *talk* to me. oy vey.
OMG - that icon is hysterical
And so appropos! NEVER take a job where your earnings are tied to their receiving payment!

Pam I YAM: I like your icon with yams. Just had to say.

5 cpl to 11 cpl

Some then have bonuses

Average seems to be 7-8 cpl
Those who are IC working for that are crazy, IMO.

Metro is not the same as World Wide
World Wide is located in Yonkers, NY. I have been in their office on many occasions over the past 5 years, and it is by far the most bizarre place I have ever had to deal with in my business. I dread going there. The brother and brother-in-law are literally crazy. The transcriptionists look worn out. Just recently they have set up a new business to offshore to India - so they may be starting to wean out US transcriptionists. I would never say this about anyone because I do understand that reputation is very important, but I honestly have no idea how these guys have held their head above water for almost 10 years. It truly is a bizarre office.
World Wide Dictation
Does anybody have any info. on World Wide Dictation in NY?  Good or bad?  Thanks!
In Wordscript, go up to the top and click on the icon that looks like
a hand writing on a piece of paper and then select the date or range of dates you want to see.  Finally, click on line count. Hope this helps.

I sure agree with you about the lousy communication. It seemed to be a company wide

I wish there was an icon that shows cartwheels and pom-poms!! I agree. Why
do not MTs think this is a hobby?

Our company offers a wide variety schedule
There are even folks that work both weekend days by choice. I don't see what the big deal is really. If an offered schedule doesn't suit you and the company is not willing to compromise, look somewhere else. There are a lot of options out there.

The S-Th/T-Sa scheduling must work just fine for the employers offering it or they wouldn't do it. Simple as that.
What browser ar eyou running? It could be that some other icon is appearing if you're
using any browser other than IE.
To the person who heard back from World Wide Dictation sm
Have you heard anymore-got hired?  I have a friend who applied and has not heard a word!  She is not an MT (it said no experience) however, she has many years of doing insurance claims and would like to find something from home to do.
