In October, notification was sent that Circle Trust was no longer the custodian. It's MG Trust Company now. They sent a link out that works fine, and a telephone number too. I'd contact HR if you can't find your email.

Would anyone who gets an email like this go for this job?  Has anyone else gotten anything like this recently?  Is it a bit unusual?  Opinions please.  Here is a copy of the body of the email letter.


 


In the past, we were in contact about medical Transcriptionist opportunities. I wanted to send you an update on positions available with Spheris that may be of interest!

I swear, some people have issues with comprehension or they read words that are not there.  That email said NOTHING about firing people.  Goodness Gracious....or maybe YOU are worried because you are one who is NOT maintaining your line counts???? uggg....some people on this board.

Email addresses should never be typed into a post in any way.  The email address you validate to have posting privileges is never given or sold to any individual, group, company or association.

Yes.  Not through exposure of your information (email or IP address) but through recognizing situations you describe or other information provided by you when you post.  It is deductive reasoning.  If YOU provide enough information, you may be effectively “signing” your post.  This is true on any board, whether open publicly or not.  Even private boards cannot guarantee who their membership really is. 


Do companies and associations read MTStars?


Yes.  Anyone can read MTStars.  Information posted is searchable on the Internet.  Even a private board can be read by anyone who registers as a member. 


Making claims that MTStars provides, gives, exposes or sells your email address or IP address is a libelous claim and will not be tolerated.

Yes, I have backup accounts.  Yes, they are out of work, too.  So how many backups should I get and how many account specifics do I have to keep straight to make minimum wage here?  I understand summer slump, but this is bad, really, really bad!!!!

No work for weeks
No work for weeks, no work to make up, have 4 accounts.  Simple truth this company overhires and now I am stuck!  Unfortunately, I will have to move on.....Hey, I have an idea - Why not hire some more!
There is no way I would work for anyone who did not pay me. If I get paid every 2 weeks, then..
the first time my check is more than a couple days late, they can forget it. You can bet they are getting paid by their clients. Who do they think does the work. The MTs should be paid above all else. I would give them a date that they had to "overnight" by check by or I'd file a company with a labor board, BBB, anyone who will listen. These companies get away with it because no one stands up for themselves. I do the work that is asked of me and I expect to be paid one time. No one should except any less than that. Good luck to you and nail them right where they stand on this one!!

several of us will probably get warnings for not making line count this pay period. What amazes me is that they've got an ad out today. Makes me wonder if things are going to get worse before they get better.

I agree with the other poster. Futurenet is great! They are very respectable. A lot of working is going to SR now though. That is the only downfall I have for them. But they work with you on everything! If they offered benefits, which they don't, I don't think anyone could beat them whatsoever. Pay is ontime EVERY time! Excellent staff! I have been there for a little over 2 years and have thought about going other places ONLY for benefit purposes but I just can't! They are too good to leave! I will be with them as long as they will allow me to. Couldn't picture myself working for anyone else!

Yes, they offer I think 4 weeks at full pay or 8 weeks at half pay. Call the office
and talk to them about it. You wont lose your job. They aren't like that.
I think ill prescribe 75 mg of Effexor.. 2 weeks off of work...for everyone!
And, possibly shed some light here. After seeing some of these posts, reading through many ads, and speaking with recruiters, and being knee deep in seeing some of the "mishandled, misappropriated, misguided, hypocritical, and profound blatant mistakes on reports, that are missed by QA, and mostly by some of these same Transcriptionist themselves, who are masticating
I have been with MQ Amherst now for 3 weeks and have continually run out of work. I know this has
been hashed out on here many times but my question is does anyone expect this problem to ever get resolved or should we simply expect to keep running out of work at Amherst forever. I know when they call me about the new pay plan and tell me it is incentive based I plan to tell them they better make sure we have work or their plan is a joke. What can I expect with this office and what can be done to correct it. I dont plan to have to work 8 accounts to get my lines in and have them QA me on accounts I have never done besides. If this problem is long standing and unlikely to be resolved it is time to either get out of that office or get out of MQ so I would like some good ideas and comments on this. We know it exists but what is the next step.
Why is OSi hiring new people when I have been out of work for 6 weeks?

I am statutory (or IC, whatever they are calling it now).  I have a main account and 2 -- count them 2 -- back up accounts.  I have been out/short of work for over 6 weeks.


Unless you are a full time employee, you get no benefits, no hourly, NOTHING.  I am amazed that they are hiring when they have people already trained and begging for work!!!


Don't they realize that it costs a WHOLE lot more in turnover to train a new employee than to keep an already-trained one happy?


I'm looking at other nationals now.  I've never been one to job hop, but I just can't take the time off any more!!!

Looks like I will be going to work in-house with an hourly wage. I love being home, but I can't afford to sit around and barley make a couple bucks a day. This is ridiculous! What's happening right now? Why are we all out of work. I have asked for more accounts, but low volumes across the board...

Thanksgiving is weeks away, yet no work on TransTech this morning. sm
I have 2 accounts, with no work on either.  I used to think they cared, but now I am not so sure. If there is no work now, I have to think the closer it gets to Thanksgiving, it will really be awful. 
Why is transcend advertising for help. No work is the story for 3 or 4 weeks.

In 2+ years, never been so low in work, even with secondary accounts to try to go to. And now they advertise for more help?  Are we all supposed to go to part time?

You may be asked to invest in expensive equipment, likely to run out of work regularly and not have your calls returned when you try to contact them. They do pay well but the work is NOT there more than it is, so great pay doesn't mean much. They sell it to you great but they don't deliver.

later I am a temporary employee at Walmart for 6.00/hr.  Still more than I was making at my production job but how humiliating.

vaction - quite a sweet deal ... while the rest of us are struggling with monumentous premiums (financing a newbie's love/sex life not my idea of fair play).  Many of us haven't gotten a single day of PTO, (thanks to the line requirement to meet when there is no/low work) and most of have been here much longer than 4 months.

I encountered slow to no work the weeks preceding Thanksgiving and several days after but the past
few days it has picked up. Can I ask which account/accounts your on? I think that makes a difference. Mine are part f the Escription platform. I honestly got really ticked a few weeks ago when we had no work and they were still hiring. For one, it's bad enough when we have to share some of our work with the Indians, but how fair it is to hire these poor people who think they are getting work where there is none.  It makes no sense to me either. Why not provide work to your current employees than drive them away by taking on too many new people.

Owner is great. I would recommend this company to anyone who wanted to be paid what they are worth and paid on time!
Concerned about the low work at WebMedx over the past few weeks. Typical for this time of year?
I've not been through a summer with them before. My main account, which always had plenty of work and occasional overtime, has been low for well over a month now. I have 2 backup accounts that are low as well. In fact, all my STM's accounts are very low volume. In all the years I've transcribed, I've never had this problem in August. It worries me more perhaps since I'm ex-MQ and consistent low work was a signal of a major downhill turn for that company. Thanks.

Did you not read all the posts about no work, that if

Can anybody tell me how long it took you to get up to production speed at Amphion.  I have been here three months and still nowhere close to where I was at at MQ.  I can't go back to MQ, too much going on there.  I need to get another job or get parttime somewhere unless somebody can tell me that I can get up to where I need to be.  I have alot of experience but this platform and demographic stuff is killing me.  TIA

times outside of the holidays is just plain poor staffing, which can be done so that everyone has enough and the work is kept up. It has been done. Problem is, getting people to do more when there is a slam. No incentives for it? they won't come through. company solution? overhire.

I have not been with OSi for long and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt after reading the things said about them but when I got the email I was very surprised and this just makes me want to find another job where this type of stuff doesn't happen. I find it hard to believe that OSI would promote someone fresh out of the mentor program to a management position but I read the email with my own eyes.
