 What do we know about Transtech Medical Solutions? I tried a search and found nothing. They don't just use ICs, do they? You can get employee status? Pay range? Ease of use of platform? Anything? Will my GearPlayer work? ShortHand compatible?

Like I said, they are a great company to work for, really starting to grow. I have been with them for almost a year. You set your schedule, though they do have a minimum # of hours. They have been flexible with me in that when something comes up, and I need to do something, I can usually ask ahead of time and there's no problem taking the time off. Good luck!

Would anyone that works for Transtech be willing to share some information with me? I am thinking of switching to TT but would like to know if all their work is on a VR platform or do they do any regular transcription? And also, what kind of line rates do they pay for either one? I need a steady paying job with a good income and lots of work, as I am a single parent with a child starting to college in the fall. The company I currently work for does not have enough work for me to make a decent income even though I am working full-time. Any information about TransTech would be greatly appreciate before I consider making this move. Thanks!

I just received an offer to test, wonder if it is worth it; I have a few offers, but nothing I am truly convinced about....how is this company to work for, and do they accept PT folk, don't care if it is IC, SE, or regular employee......and I, too, need flexibility, as long as I get my lines in and always make turnaround time. Long time ago, there were many, many companies that operated that way; now, it seems, everyone is very rigid -- so am I, but I have to make things work with family situation, I am not only caring for 3 kids, but also 89-year-old mom part-time. Thanx all in advance!

Hey everyone, check out this link. This is what we are up against. Be sure and note how 3M or whoever is the sponsor of this webinar throws in that dictation and transcription is time-consuming. Nevermind that EMR and VR take more time and money to be successful and it only takes 38 seconds to dictate a returning patient and 2 minutes to dictate a new patient versus 500 clicks on a point and click EMR or the mess VR makes and having to have an Editor come in and clean up the mess. Propaganda that we should know about.

I've searched the archives and cannot find any recent information on this company. Most of it is from 2006-2007. I was thinking of applying with them, but would like some input. I know I posted previously about leaving MT and going into general and legal transcription, but I thought maybe I could give one more company another try and see how it goes. I'm in the process of taking their test, and so far it looks fairly easy.

 I got an email from this company saying they want good MTs like me who do VR and they pay PER HOUR and WEEKLY!!!! Could have knocked me over with a feather. I've never heard of a company paying by the hour for MT work. They didn't even ask me to test, just the interview and we would be good to go. They also said they had companies waiting to come on board with VR. Beware if it sounds too good to be true!!!!

I have worked for them in the past for over a year. I found them to be extremely easy to work with, absolutely no problem with pay, always on time, and I have recommended several people to work for them, and actually one of them right now wishes they could go back. I was PT and they eventually needed only FT, which I could not do at the time. I have nothing negative to say about the company, they do a lot more than what other companies do, this is not one to stay away from.

Bad any way you look at it. Their so called recruiter was so unorganized it was hilarious. Don't expect them to answer any of your questions. You'll get emails back IN BIG CAPITAL LETTERS that they are in, yet,another meeting. Funnier yet is that I received the same job offer twice, the second time at a lower rate. They don't even know who they're talking to!

I've heard mixed reviews maybe two years ago and was wondering what they are like now that they have absorbed a couple of other smaller companies.
