what company offers the best health benefits?

What company offers the best health benefits?

As far as:

waiting period before they start (I'm looking for 90 days or less),

how much they cost for yourself and dependents (I have myself +1 - spouse - can pay maybe $300/month out of paycheck at most),

PEC lookback period (preexisting condition - example - look back 3 months is better than 1 year),

pharmacy cost (I need a flat rate copay, not a percentage, with no yearly cap, and brand names and generics)

Anyone who has been happy or unhappy with their insurance through their work-at-home MT company, please share your experience and opinions. Thanks

Seeking company that offers good benefits including insurance.
Ideally, I'd like to find a company that offers medical insurance at a reasonable cost for family (under $500 a month) and a decent line count rate. Anyone have any ideas on this. Thanks.
Can anyone provide a name of a good smaller company to work for that offers decent benefits..
I want to get away from the "nationals". I know there are smaller transcription companies out there looking for a good MT.. Hopefully someone will have some good advice for me.
Are there medical benefits for parttime? nm
nm
Yes, time clock. No insurance or any benefits for parttime.

Left MQ at 8.75 cpl and had 2 offers - one for 9.5 and the other for 10, FT with benefits. (nm)

Webmedx offers benefits for FT MTs; not sure sm
how many years of experience you must have but I'd think 7-8.5 cpl to start for acute care, if you can do ops. Plus there's a bonus / incentive package for shift differential and weekends.
Pretty low-level pay and benefits. I had 6 offers and
nm
Transolutions offers benefits at 32 hous/wk

They have IC and employees, employees get benefits.
Good company. I am very happy there.
KS has both. IC pay is higher. Employees have benefits. I sm
am an employee and it fits me well. I make great money, have lots of work and have been there a while.

Ignore the nay-sayers. This board gets so nasty sometimes.
just one more question....do they have regular full-time employees with benefits or......sm
just ICs?  Thanks.
Are there any companies out there that offer benefits to PT employees, such as health insurance?
I know it's a rarity but I know hospitals do.
Are there any companies who offer health benefits to part time employees?
Need insurance.
Companies are hardly offer FT employees any decent benefits so I think is going to be rare to find
them for PT employees. I would love that too, unfortunately, I work too much just to get below average benefits. Best of luck in your search. Honestly, I think the only place you'll find benefits for part-timers is going in-house at a hospital.
IC is the one who offers a rate and the company accepts

Which company offers the best basic pay for Proofers.
what is best matched in industry
My company offers webinars that count
No extra cost to maintain CEs.

It is definitely worth it to achieve this goal. I have been an MT for 38 years and finally got my CMT this past December. I got a $.50/hour raise. But it isn't about the money for me. It is about setting a goal for myself and achieving it. I felt so proud when I saw that Congratulations, you passed.... You can't put a price tag on personal achievement.
What company offers this? Doesn't sound famililar. nm

Our company offers a wide variety schedule
There are even folks that work both weekend days by choice. I don't see what the big deal is really. If an offered schedule doesn't suit you and the company is not willing to compromise, look somewhere else. There are a lot of options out there.

The S-Th/T-Sa scheduling must work just fine for the employers offering it or they wouldn't do it. Simple as that.
LOOKING FOR PARTTIME WORK
I know the feeling. I have over 30 years experience, and want just part-time, no stress, uncomplicated accounts. Cannot find that any any cpl. I have acute care experience in almost every field, as well as office dictation, physical medicine, and radiation/pathology. No takers it seems.
I've never been parttime IC, but I know that parttimers have done more than their 500 lines and m
of the time DSG is just happy to get the work out, so the only benefit would be that if you contract for 500 lines, get used to doing 1000 or more, and then work runs low, then you may only get 500 lines because we are all out there fighting for work. Discuss it with the recruiter, I just know what I see from being there a couple of years.
Any companies hire parttime for dialup -nm
nm
I have 2 parttime jobs, 1 VR, 1 straight typing....
in comparing the 2 side by side, I make 30-40 more dollars a day with straight typing, reason being, if you have to make a lot of changes with VR and it seems I do, then you lose time and money even if you get good VR on other doctors. This is a comparison side by side, it is not worth half the pay, it is just not right. I struggle a lot of days getting 1500 lines on VR if I have to make a lot of dumb changes, like adding words VR left out, adding words or taking out words, that is just not cost productive. That is my opinion. Remember I am doing this with one company on one computer and one on another.
Tip for new employees to any company

This may sound like simple and crazy advice but I was recently sweating bullets when I started a new job and afraid that I could not meet the line requirements.  I sat down on my day off and spent about 4 or 5 hours seriously updating my shortcut program. I must have added 10 times the amount of shortcuts that I had before.  The very next time that I worked I doubled my production and it has gone up every day since then.

So it may not be the new company you go to work for if you are worrying about making the line requirements. It may be your shortcut program needs some serious updating. That was sure true in my case.

There are probably still some rotten companies out there but I made a big difference myself and now I couldn't be happier at my new company!

From the company owner to the employees
after somebody mistakenly forwarded an email from someone in India to the company employees- then they had to fess up. The person with the email slipup decided to "change jobs" within the company and it went to the pits after that with incompetent managers.
There are disgruntled former employees at any company
if you do your work and do it well you'll be fine at Diskriter.
OMG! I'm dying for benefits too, but not at that company.

Which company has the best medical benefits?
I have been searching for the company with the best medical benefits. After I test with the company and get a job with benefits they always offer crap insurance and it is expensive! Is there such thing as good benefits while working from home? I have been an IC for the past 10 years and never opted for insurance with companies that do offer it with employee status. I have also checked into private insurance, but the deductibles seem high. Thanks for any help or advice!!!
Good company who employees nearly as many
a good company who always swore they would never offshore our work. Yup, good company. 1000 domestic MTs and 600 Indians.  They make MQ look loyal to the US!
A horrible company who does not value truth or the employees.

MD-IT Intelligent- Any new information on this company i.e. pay, benefits etc.

WOULD LIKE TO FIND A COMPANY THAT HAS DECENT FAMILY INS. BENEFITS AND PTO
I have been working in-house at a hospital and would like to go home to work, but I am having a hard time finding a company out there that offers decent insurance benefits and PTO.. Any ideas are appreciated..
you must have mistaken this for another company; benefits start in 30 days
This person obviously has no clue
I work for another company that advertises for new employees often with the same reaction. Maybe s
those who are NOT in-the-know should keep their opinions to themselves unless they know facts. The company I work for is hiring over 100 MTs as well due to two new accounts between now and the end of the year too. Maybe a few of the biggies have lost a few accounts that the mid-size MTSOs can handle in a more personal manner. Perhaps hospitals are FINALLY getting tired of the offshore garbage they are getting back from some of the other nationals. Either way, there are some major accounts changing services and a few of the mid-size MTSOs will need to pull from the transcriptionists out there looking for a better job!
If the hospital employees know, then the company knows. Keep your mouth shut and get out.

Nice company and benefits but production can be tricky.
nm
You judge an entire company by the posts of 2 or 3 out of 500+ employees?
That amazes me with MQ too. A few people post but the what they write it taken as gospel.

Keystrokes is very well run; it is sad that someone can make a blanket statement about something they know nothing about.
Most company web sites have testimonials from LOTS of employees, not just one. sm

Kind of makes you think, doesn't it?  They just use that one tired rave review of yours.

As far as not having a problem with you being gone -- you're an IC!  You're SUPPOSED to be able to be gone when you need to be.   It is another place that doesn't seem to know the meaning of the idea of being an IC, although that is par for the course nowadays and I really cannot point them out as being the only one who does that.

It would seem best to let the CardioScribes thread die, but you had to bring it to the foreground again.

Actually, having employees work at home is a benefit...TO THE COMPANY
more than the employee. The company doesn't have to pay for office space, electricity, etc.....
Is there a listing anywhere that shows # of employees or size of company? nm )

Without Naming Company, Does anyone know cost of COBRA for out-of-state employees?

She is definitely an employee. This company in Georgia has 150+ employees. Forty hour
work week is one thing but having them get very upset when you are working 50-60 hours and be nasty when the account is still behind but saying no overtime, no way is a very different thing.  I advised her ask the department to check out this company and out get out of there anyway.
Yep..Now I feel stupid. Like one poster said, new company and they can afford benefits like that.
I should be shot, or the very least, a I'm Stupid sticker on my forehead.
Does any company offer insurance to part'time employees? nm

Great company -- good benefits, average pay, easy-to-achieve sm

incentive tier, ExText platform, pay by direct deposit every 2 weeks, always on time.  The people in management seem to genuinely care about the employees, which is a nice plus.  I have been there since October and am very happy.  Of course, one man's paradise is another man's hell it seems at times, but it is a good fit for me.

Good luck!

Rapid Transcript, Inc- Does anyone have any recent info on this company...current/previous employees
I am wondering about anyone who has recently or is currently working for this company...any input is appreciated. There is some Bad talk about non-payment in the search archives from 2003-2004, but no recent talk. Just curious. :)
TransTech for many reasons, good pay, stable company, good benefits
and flexible.
I have looked around the last 6 months and have found nothing better. Have turned down numerous jobs, and have finally decided to stay put. The better insurance plans were announced and even moreso than ever, I am staying put, and my paycheck is happy about that because it is getting better every day. Good luck to you.
Good company, great people, good benefits.
Affordable insurance. Good luck!
Oh for sure employees, but not too often for statutory employees. Sorry for confusion.

Attn: Any Transcend employees or former employees
I have been offered a job with Transcend, but I am not completely sure about it yet and I need some input from you guys.  I have read positives and negatives regarding this company but alot of it was pretty old information.  Can anyone give me some recent feedback on them?    Thanks very much!!!
