How strong is the tech support at your MTSO? nm
nm
It's posted on MQ's website also under "news".

Nothing on their website about MT recruiting. Keep us posted! :) nm

To the MTSO who posted
I wanted to bring this up to the top so it wouldn't get lost down below.

You basically said that US editing of offshore work was not going to stop.  Is this per demand of the client?  They want offshore rates but good quality?  Why do you give them both when it hurts your bottom line?  The biggest mistake the MTSOs make is agreeing to this.  I believe if the cheap client wants offshore rates they should get exactly what they pay for, including editing done by the offshore contractor.  If they want quality, they need to pay for that quality.  It's more than past time for all MTSOs to stand firm on this.

It's not the negativity of the poster, it is what the MTSO posted.

It doesn't show the MTSO in a very good light.

Was a reference posted in February by an MTSO that it
search by key word _flying monkies_ and read the responses.
I've just been to their website.
Although dates are old, 2003 & 2005, it appears they are still up and running and hiring. Have you applied and just not heard back?
I've posted this before.
difference.  They don't pay too well, but I have my freedom.  The company you work for should not have you classified as an IC then.  You should be an employee if you have to sign-in/out, etc.  This has been discussed before I know, but I feel strongly that as an IC the company should not be telling you when to work.  They can tell you when they want the work back, which is usually 24 hours, but they should not be telling you that you have to work between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for example.  So sorry this is happening to you.  I'm sure you are not alone.  I almost had it happen to me, and I quit.  I will not work set hours as an independent contractor ever.....   JMO....
I've seen this posted before

Can you tell me the source of your info?  Were/are you a current or ex employee?  I'm not being snarky or rude, I truly want to know where the info comes from.  I'm on a permanent clinic account, and yes the work usually is done by Sunday but there's plenty to keep me busy during the week.

I'm just curious as to how old/new your info is about them having overflow accounts.

I've never needed tech support, so cannot comment on that. Voice quality is so-so with sm
the account I'm on as a lot of docs seem to be using cell phones.
I understand. Thank you for what you've posted.
..
Don't you still work for QT? You've posted

several times in the past, always seeming to want to get something started.

Off? I've posted here for years. SM

You could do a search to verify that.  MT in MT is right...referral bonuses ARE nice.  But, I would never recommend a company that I was not happy with...they couldn't pay me enough.  I've only been here a year, but that is way past the honeymoon stage.

Also, I would only get a referral bonus if a person stayed there for 6+ months.  So, unless someone really liked it here (as I do), I have absolutely nothing to gain with sharing my experiences.  I have said in past posts who I work for (Echo), but I didn't know if I could do that in this post as I didn't want the board administrators to think I was posting a help-wanted ad (which I'm not).  All I'm doing is sharing my experiences...what anyone does with that information is completely up to them.

Take care,

Chickadee

What happened to the post yesterday about C-TEch? sm

Does anyone know where it went?  It was a harmless question about info on the company ... did it get deleted?  I wanted to see if there were any follow ups.

Your own post verifies other post about MTSO not

My line rate was better than any I've seen posted
before.  I haven't been there long enough to get a raise, though I think someone asked this question last week and the answer was you do get raises.
Excellent post, Tech Support. You nailed it. nm.
Sigh.
I seriously doubt it is 1 or 2. AAMOF, I've had an MTSO
accept her offer.  She lied about how work was given out, about turn-around times, about scheduling, about her relationship to her MTs.  This is a medium size MT company which regularly advertises here and on other MT boards.  Whenever I see their recruiting ads, I cringe because I KNOW working for them is not like what is put forth in their ads.  How do I know?  Because I worked for that company for over 3 years and I still have friends who are employed by them who say things have never changed.  They are unhappy but they're not about to jump from the frying pan into the fire.
Whoa..been years since they've been mentioned! Is their website current?
s
Or did someone actually post a website?
If you want them to advertise here, do some marketing? I know nothing about them good or bad but if they don't post try and market to them.
I totally agree. Once you've posted your private information

on these boards, it's indexed and cached through Google and other sites.  I've been stalked and harrassed twice through MT boards due to information I posted.  One was a woman who totally disagreed with me and thought she needed to set me straight.  She was right and I was wrong, and she was going to scream and cuss at me until I saw things her way.  She Googled everything she could find about me and my business, then tracked me down through Anywho.  The other was a man who called my business number at 2:00 a.m. wanting to talk about sex because he needed a sex-cretary to do his transcription in person.  I know they got the information from the other MT board I used to go to because that was the only place I posted anything in the directory.  The scary thing is that information can still be found all these years later because it's been cached.  I had to change phone numbers, but those people still know my full name and address.  That's why I don't use one nickname to post now.

This is the Company Board. You should have posted on tech board. nm
x
could you post their website address...nm

You posted under her post.
If you weren't talking to her why were you replying to her and accusing her of being JMO? Wait. I know. You were trying to stir the pot.  Good heavens girl you either need a reading comprehension course or an etiquette course on how not to start trouble. Let it go already and quit stirring up trouble.
This was the first post I have posted under GP!

Who are you talking to?  You have the wrong person and you just made a fool out of yourself, hello!

the MTSO has a right to post here.

I love the fact that we can post on this forum confidentially.  Although we may not think it is professional for an MTSO to come and express their feelings…they are entitled to it.  Sometimes people just need to vent whether we agree with it or not.  Maybe they have no one else to talk to.  I would never bash any company that I have ever worked for other than the *lack of work*.  I have worked for very professional companies.  I guess I have been lucky.  My bosses have been very vocal.  If I make an error I get feedback right away.  I am an MT and I am very proud of who I work for, as I know if they have a problem with me or my work they would come straight to me about it.

Maybe that is what this MTSO should do.  It has to be difficult having someone bash their company.  You just need to take the posts lightly.  People are going to say things no matter what.  You just never know who is posting what, which is the benefit and crappy thing about an anonymous board.

You have people who love to  and people who love to .  Only way for anyone to truly know anything about a company is to try em out for themselves.

THIS IS A POST OF AN MTSO...s/m
an MT would never write this.

I have heard that clients pay up to 18cpl.
When and how did they reduce their pay????
X-Press' website says they have over 400 MTs. Is this true? Your post sm
says a small group of co-workers. I am considering working for them but I am getting conflicting answers, which worries me.
transhealth used to post their staff on the website
if your company lists their staff somewhere, be careful. other than that -- it's YOUR business. whatever. just sign the paperwork and get your paycheck. look out for number one.
Above post was definitely posted by someone with a high IQ

Then why was posted in response to MY post? - sm
Am I supposed to know it's for the OP??  And I'm quite relaxed and chilled out.  Maybe you're the one who needs to relax and giving orders.
that was me silly, I was talking to you. I posted that right before your post came up!

I posted this on the main board. Though I would post it here as well.

If you want mandatory credentialling, then do something about the pay range for MTs!  8 cpl does not cut it when you consider the knowledge and education required for a qualified MT.

Coders in the midwest (where I live) who have their CCS make $20/hr with little to no experience!  Do not for one minute compare the CMT to the CCS!!  AHIMA is taking care of its coders, making sure coders and records techs are acknowledged for their expertise in the heath information industry and compensated for achieving their credentials.  The ADHI only wants our money.  They have done absolutely nothing for the MT who is credentialed --- 8 cpl or 9 cpl!?!?!!? --- does that sound like we are highly regarded health information professionals to you?

OOPS! SOrry, that post above should say from MTSO not MTSO2! :) nm
nm
Great post! Keeps us all grounded on what the MTSo has to put up with.

As an MT, IC for years, I have never had to rely on anyone but myself and am grateful for that.  There will always be a place for me in this field as an IC, as I stick to commitment.  Keeping my word is important to me.

I have thought about venturing out and hiring a few MT's to help when my workload gets busy, but after trying it once realized I do not have the patience.  Thank goodness for the MTSO who has the patience.

Good luck with your new hires.

As I *said* in my post body, it IS awful that at MTSO cm
would not pay. I agreed with you on that. If you want me to grow some guts, as you say, sorry. Throwing the term demonic around when forewarning someone is just a little unnerving. Perhaps I was just not ready to envision demons and evil first thing in the morning. LOL

As I said before, I do agree with you that this person should definitely be held accountable for her actions. It is sad that our profession has come to this. I hope your friend gets her money back 100 times over and that this MTSO is put out of business as soon as possible.
So obvious "Not KS". Why would another MTSO post

in a thread about another MTSO?  So full of BS.  We're not stupid; just underpaid.

Be careful, DB. I posted a post similar to yours and it was deleted.

I too posted asking about Co.'s with flexibility, not a job wanted post, but I dont see it now. n

I had posted that question right up under the original poster and prior to her post being answeredsm

Looks are deceiving and I AM paying attention.

This is the best post I've seen on here.
I hadn't heard of Futurenet, but you must be good if you respond as you and remind people of loyalty. I was fortunate someone took time with me, as I had been away from this for a few years and needed to reintegrate. I'm barely making a crust, because it is the slow period of the year ~ it was always that way for me. I appreciate what goes into training on both sides. For me it's like trying to build a business again. I really appreciate the interaction and correction, as I'd like to be the best I can be and many little things have changed. Truthfully, I had burned out in this field and I didn't know if I wanted to get back into it, but I love it and I'm glad I was given the opportunity.

I guess I've been reading a lot of these posts, as I used to work for Medquist, but when I wsa there they were fine ~ but things have changed all throughout this world in the past few years.

Sometimes, we need to vent though, and perhaps it's better to do it in here where it's a bit more private.

Ok .. back to lurking ~ :o)
That's the best post I've seen on this board
Love it, love it, love it, love it, love it love it!!!
:D
This is the only board I've been able to post on and

I've been a member for years here. I have a validated email address and have been using the same moniker for at least a year.

Something is not right.
