It does work, you do not need to "make" it work.. it works in all word based programs.

RadNet
they cant "make you work certain hours" but they can find someone that is willing to work them
If not, they dont have to hire you as IC or anything for that matter. So yes it is perfectly legal.

If she hires you as an IC and it doesn't state in your contract when she needs that particular IC coverage and she then dictates what hours you work, she cannot do that.

But she can refuse to hire you if you don't provide the coverage that she is looking for.

The platform is Word. Their program works with Word but does not change how Word works. nm
The benefits just changed the first part of this month. I don't have them but I remember them being reasonabl for a single person. Family and spouse was not reasonable in any way (in my opinion).
If the tech doesn't know his stuff, it won't work. Programs like 123
you can  have another tower set up for the new account to go on and use a KVM switch between your machines. You keep the single monitor and keyboard and hit a few keys when you need to switch back and forth to work or check the email, etc. Good luck! nm
Their program works with Word and does not change how Word functions. sm
You use your own expander. Overall I feel it is user friendly and I like it.
Work is easy, very nice owner, pays weekly, work in Word.

Does the Emdat platform use Word or is it Word-based? nm
nm
The platform is not Word, but it is Word-based. I
had little Word experience and the recruiter told me to try to find a book to learn the basics of Word as their program is Word-based.
I used to work for them, if they are AR based nm

I don't work for TTS, I don't know anyone who works for TTS....
I can't speak for the rest of you, but these posts don't influence any opinion I might form about TTS, just my opinion that this poster is perhaps a couple of eggs short of an omelette.

Poster, if you are trying to convince people that TTS is an inferior/unfair/unjust MTSO, the only thing you're convincing me of is that you need serious help....ASAP.

It can if it is word based
Any word based Expander can be copied over into Medware.
DVI - MS Word based

What works for one person, may not work for you. You have
jkl
Yes, they are Indian-based and not nice to work for/with. nm

Based on what...do you say that I will be out of work? Have you personally experienced this?
As for meaning and substance, the words speak for themselves. If you are not sure what they mean, Webster's is always helpful.
Company I work for is based out of Texas
My main accounts are elsewhere but since the hurricane, the hospital we do there is not up and running so those girls are working on other accounts. It's slow everywhere. And yes, over-hiring is a big part of it.
But I thought that was not Word-based. Is it? nm

Is Emdat word-based?
nm
Is that a Word-based platform?
I just applied for that position and they e-mailed me with some questions.
Meditech word-based?
Anyone working for company that uses this?  From my understanding they count lines according to the amount of minutes you type.   Those of you experienced on this version of Meditech, please share some insight.  Thanks.
Word based platform
Are there any GOOD companiesthat work on a Word-based platform?
they run off a word-based platform
it's not very stream-lined and kinda klunky, but efficient enough.  I know they've made recent updates to make it run a little faster, but there were times when i would spent two to three minutes after filling out the screen waiting for my work screen to appear.
What is Iscriptor (Word based??) and ... NM
xxxx
No, it's not Word based at all, totally different...nm

I work with a transcriptionist at our hospital who works for
them part time and she said they are just awful, but she needs the money so bad and no other company returned her call. She said she has a hard time with the voices, ESL and difficulty hearing the account.
TT works for me - plenty of work, no offshoring.
nm
Oops! That s/b I prefer home based work.

Their own platform. Shorthand, Word based. nm
.
It's not word based - keystroke combos are different. NM
xx
Sounds great! Is it Word-based?
I am totally clueless about it!
yes, it is word based. And very user friendly. IMO.
nm.
It's Rapid Text-a Word-based
program. It has most of the templates built in. Very user friendly. Pretty much, if you can type in Word, you can use this platform.
MT-World Transcription - which is word-based. nm

Is the platform good? Word-based? Is the new
position still recruiting? Just passed the written and doing the transcription next..
?If it's not Word-based, it shares a lot of the same commands..sm
So whatever. Ctrl-C, V, X, etc. Agree it can be slow but has gotten better. By far not the best I've used, but also not the worst. Almost last, though. ShortHand is crap, but you can use IT. Good luck.
Need a company with dialup and that works in Word nm

Need a company with dialup and that works in Word
You might want to try FutureNet. The downloading and uploading is slow depending on the size of the account, but I had to use an air card for a bit, and that worked fine. Also do a search on MtJobs for example because there are a few other companies that allow dialup and if they use an FTP site, that should work as well although a bit slow.
Shorthand, any expander that works with Word
Great company to work for - some dictators are difficult to understand at first, very good compensation.
Great incentive plan, but based on speed/lph not total lines produced. Works if you are fast.

Word-based, expander included, easy to use...NM
NM
iType is word based, iText Expander SM...
is included in the program and it works great for me. They were able to import my old PRD files right into it. Cost zero. You do need your own spellchecker. Pretty good program, reasonably MT friendly.
Do they use MT-World software? Is it Word based? Easy? Productive? Thx. nm
s
It is their own platform but not word based. Shorthand is the macro stuff.
Pretty decent place to work.
You work in Word. sm
You are provided headers that you fill in and just add in a new header for each dictation. You will end up with one long document. You'll need a c-phone or re-record equipment and unlimited long distance. Lots of work and nice people to work for. Pay is always on time (by mail). Hope this helps. :)
