I'm fulltime IC, need to get 10,000 lines per pay period, believe parttimers need 5000 per pay
period.  They've been very flexible with me, as long as I get in the required lines by the end of the pay period.  We use DQS platform, which is user friendly, but I don't think it's as easy to get lines as on some of the other platforms, I think because of the way it counts them.  DSG is a good fit for me, always treated me fairly, pay is on time.
Keystrokers do you find it difficult to make lines? Almost

a year ago I was offered a position with KS.  There were lots of rumors going around about my company so I started looking, but I fell for the lies my MTSO told and stayed put.  The rumors became fact and I had to find another job.  I just cannot make decent lines with new company.   I went from gross line to 65 characters, which by itself can make 100+ lines a day difference.  The platform is boggy and I prefer to do Ops only, but doing everything but due to my scheduled work time and the tight TAT of Ops and I'm just not happy.

I  was hired for an acute care account doing Ops at KS, but I can't remember any of the other details (other than of course pay).   I'm thinking about calling them to see what they may have to offer (they said call if I changed my mind), but don't want to have to start all over again only to find myself in the same situation I'm currently in with no able to make lines.

Also, what kind of Expander can you use.   New job uses SH and I really don't like it.

word expanders. Shorthand.
x
Their own platform. Shorthand, Word based. nm
.
Shorthand, any expander that works with Word
Great company to work for - some dictators are difficult to understand at first, very good compensation.
I am not following how you make the macro, in word? or expander like shorthand? Help me.
nm
It is their own platform but not word based. Shorthand is the macro stuff.
Pretty decent place to work.
RAD Keystrokers, as of today, is there enough work every day?

anyone work for Oracle - do they use Word or a Word-based program - e-mail me nm
nm
same lines as word document
The only thing you dont get paid for is the ADT screen, which takes me about 2 seconds to hit the search, date and cc. I really dont care about not getting paid for ADT because it doesn't take any time at all to do this. The document itself always comes out the same line count as word. I think the benefit for this program outweighs not getting paid for ADT at least for me. I also have 2 IC accounts on the side. Their programs are time consuming in figuring out codes, and then saving and sending it in a different format... plus dr. lists manual insert. Another thing on one account you have to email the person every time to get more work so it doesnt flow like DQS. So I think DQS is the most user friendly program I've used. When you copy and paste DQS to word its always been exactly the same lines for me and also the red headings you are paid for.
Just wanna work in Word - need company that works in WORD! nm
nm
yes, but remember that Word counts blank lines, as well. nm

Keystrokes..pt or fulltime?
I am interested in knowing if Keystrokes requires fulltime schedule or if they have part-time employees.  Also, what is the turnaround time for this company?  Are there any flex employees? Are their rates comparable or are they hourly?
What are the line requirements for fulltime at
Also, the cost of their family insurance?
How did you get shorthand to work with it?
Deb H said they did not think it would.
Shorthand might work.
Since it works under Windows, not under any particular app, and so far, I have not had it NOT work--even when I didn't want it to, such as in chat, e-mail, and instant messaging, if I forget to turn it off....

You can download a free 30-day trial. Just Google ShortHand for Windows. I don't have the URL handy. If it doesn't work for you... you don't have to pay for it at the end of the trial.
They work with you to make sure you get the lines required or the amount of lines you want...
I have never had a problem getting more work
Will Shorthand 9.02 work with Editscript?sm
I read where ShortHand 8 will, but not sure about 9.2.  Instant Text sure doesn't.
I currently work with ExText and use Shorthand....
It works GREAT! I have over 15,000 shortcuts saved in it and am CONSTANTLY adding more. I work on an acute care account. HTH!
Work for them, they use Shorthand and platform sm

is Acuity at least on my particular account.

How do you put this in AutoCorrect? Wouldn't shorthand work the same way?
nm
Shorthand and Instant Text will work
Don't know about any other programs though.
Does the Shorthand program work well? I don'the know
anything about it but I just started a new job with Meditech and there is no associated program for AutoCorrect or macros. They suggested we d/l the ShortHand program which I did d/l the free 30 day trial. I haven't used it yet but I really miss macros and shortcuts...Will it be worth the $99.99 purchase price when my 30 days expires?  Thanks.
Instant Text and Shorthand both work with it. nm
x
Yes, Shorthand. They have an address datatbase that is in Shorthand, so that's what they sm
prefer you use.  nm
Does ShortHand or SmarType work with the company DiskWriter's system?
:)
Att new Keystrokers
Is it as good there as everyone posting on this board says it is. Just checkin to see if everything is going well. Info much appreciated:)
For all you Keystrokers out there
They have an add for Oncology MTs. Anyone familiar with this and know what platform? Are their platforms Word?  Thanks in advance.
Keystrokers

Would someone who works for KS on the new occ. health account(s), please tell me what platform will be used for the new occ. health accounts, and how difficult this dictation is.  I have never done this type of dictation before.

Also, anyone who is working the new hem/onc account, please let me know either via e-mail or post here how you like this account and platform.

Thanks for your help.

For the Keystrokers

exactly?  You dial in the number to the hospital and the report then comes up?  How is it really working with Meditech?  It must not be so bad that it can't be mastered eventually, everybody gets good line counts fairly easy with it.

THANKS!

Would any Rad Keystrokers explain
how they jump from screen to screen, keep their log and still maintain a high productivity level? I am boggled about this. Any information greatly appreciated.
Any oncology keystrokers? nm

Any Keystrokers using Meditech Client
I read some posts below that stated some were getting 15 while othere were getting 25 reports an hour. Can anyone specifically tell me what they get an hour using Meditech Client? TIA.
Keystrokers - question on getting started

How long did it take you from hire to actually working?  I was offered a position week before last and there's been a couple of snags with the paperwork along the way, but now that's all done and I'm starting to get a little frustrated with the delay.  Everyone there is really nice, though, when I do talk to them, so I really want this to work out.  But I got bills, and was really hoping to get work before the 15th so I could get a little money on the 1st, you know?

Thanks in advance.

Any other Keystrokers not able to access the intranet again?
It has been having a lot of problems this past week with going down. Has been down all day today.
Work is easy, very nice owner, pays weekly, work in Word.

It does work, you do not need to "make" it work.. it works in all word based programs.
x
1200 lines daily is great if you have the work, personally, I never had enough work so
I left and have NEVER been sorry!
You work in Word. sm
You are provided headers that you fill in and just add in a new header for each dictation. You will end up with one long document. You'll need a c-phone or re-record equipment and unlimited long distance. Lots of work and nice people to work for. Pay is always on time (by mail). Hope this helps. :)
Word's out from the T: Little or no work...sm
available this weekend but cannot take time off.  Deja vu????
NO WORK at Transtech -- did no good to work the holiday for 1.5 lines, did it?
I am sure the office staff will share their PAID HOLIDAY MONIES with us who sit here with no work.  This has gotten to be such a frustrating profession.  I guess I need to relocate to Houston so that I can work in the office, too, and reap those wonderful paid benefits that us at-home piecemeal workers do not get.
You can work in Word or WP5.1, whichever

format you are most productive with.  You run a micro that pulls up the header, type in patient's name and it puts it in the correct place in the header.  Occasionally doctors enter wrong work type and you will need to change that in the header.  If you need to do a CC, you run a macro and the list of docs comes up, you highlight the doc and enter and info goes where it needs to.   When new doctors are added you do have to add those into the system.  You may go months and not get any new doctors and then get 30 one month,  It is very easy to add them in.   Unfortunately PAs are not in the system so until you get familiar with them you have to look them up.

You do spellcheck, run a macro for line count, run a macro to send the work - EASY.

Company is QT Medical and they are hiring.  There have been a couple of posts about them this week.  Good company.

What's the word on Transcend-GA, Lot's of work?
I have searched the archives, found some info.  Please tell me what I need to know about this company-will start work soon.
Can Radnet work without Word on
your computer?
The platform is Word. Their program works with Word but does not change how Word works. nm
The benefits just changed the first part of this month. I don't have them but I remember them being reasonabl for a single person. Family and spouse was not reasonable in any way (in my opinion).
Webmedx - low work ? Can you make up lines when work available (sm)
or do you have to schedule a make up time or just do without the lines?
