MDI-MD pay periods

Would anyone be willing to share how MDI-MD payperiods work?  Every two weeks, 1st and 15th?  Or is it something different?

TIA

It has been 1 space after periods
since the new Style Guidelines took effect or affect, Ha Ha and make sure you do not use your expansions. If they say COPD you cannot expand it; and what about making lists of everything from meds to past history, etc. etc. Anything to not pay you for those lines.

Oh and don't forget it is x2 not the word "times". That would be too many characters on the line and we cannot pay you for that.

What horse will you be traveling on. I'll be going with ya.
Pay periods run from the 1st through the 15th, and sm
the 16th through the end of the month.  They have a LOT of different accounts, so I don't think there is any way to comment on the ESLs.  Like anywhere, it will vary from hospital to hospital.  And yes, line count is attainable with FT work.  Hope this helps.  I'm happy there!
They have slow periods also
x
Hmm. Do you have a lot of periods when you have no work? nm
nm
ask about pay periods, I worked for them for a
short time and it took about a month to get first check.
Stay where you are. We all go through slow periods
nm
EMTS lines and pay periods
Pay days are the 10th and 26th. Depending on the platform, you may not get you lines in 8 hours, you may need more. They are flexible though. If you manage to get done with the minimum, they don't bother you. Good luck.
I drink one just about every day. Helps with periods. sm
The soy actually makes my periods shorter and less cramps, which is a HUGE deal to me.
I'm not using them for weight loss, just as a high-protein, low fat meal or snack, especially on days that I do weight training.
The pay periods end on the 15th and the last of the month. sm

As the other poster said, generally we are paid witihin a week after that.  I think the latest I have received my pay was on the 10th.  It is true that it is a bit odd not having a set pay date, but at least I can sure I will be paid.  I read horror stories on here of companies giving bad checks or not paying at all, and it makes me cringe.  I am my sole support, so if I do not get paid, my world turns upside down in a hurry.

If you are considering working for them, I wouldn't let that back me off if I was you.  They say the techs are working to fix it so that the line count doesn't have to be done manually, so perhaps in the future, it will be better.

When I get No studies - it is usually for short periods (sm)
Sometimes I clock out, balance my check book, check E-mail and there is work. Other times I sign off and flex my hours that day. Doesn't happen often.

I think on the weekends when there is OT authorized by our STM for the weekend they need to have someone check and make sure, if the number of jobs are WAAAAY down, cut off the OT authorized sign so those who are scheduled to work can do so.

I know it has to be hard to please the client and the MTs. I am certainly willing to flex for them as they are willing to flex for me when I have issues.

which IC positions use 1 space after periods?
My FT job requires 1 space after periods, which took me a long time to adjust to. Now I would like to get a 2nd job as well but I don't want to mess up my typing trying to go back and forth between 1 and 2 spaces at jobs?  TIA
Yes, 10 cpl for the first 6 pay periods if you meet the 1300 lines, sm

8 cpl if you do not.  After the 6 pay periods, if you become an employee, then the rates change.  I think 10 cpl then was only for 3rd shift.

I just wanted a part-time position, but the 10 cpl sounded rather attractive.  Of course, it doesn't matter how much someone pays if you don't have the work or can't make the lines.

Thanks again for your input.  We'll see if I even passed the test.

p.r.n. (and search won't allow periods in order get the right company)
Is the other company in Ohio as well?
You must not have been with Transtech long enough to see the lack of work periods. nm

Can we recommend companies that count all the characters and don't have you omiting periods, etc.

Anybody have any comments on this company...nothing in archives.
Anybody do QA for MxSecure
Is the pay low, average or very good? I know they offer benefits to QA...is the insurance affordable (single)?

Seeking feedback on this company.  Any good, bad, or indifferent feedback appreciated on this Arizona company.

Wondering too if they are a decent company to work for or not and whether they offshore. People, platform, pay, any other info appreciated.
Mxsecure
I asked about this company a couple of weeks ago and did not get a response. I would like to hear from someone who works there now. Do you have an adequate amount of work? Is their line counting system fair? How about thier QA point system? Any other info is appreciated as well.
MxSecure
yes, the same sort of thing happened to me about finally getting a call back, but when I finally did I asked numerous questions and my first one was about outsourcing. They did tell me they had a international and domestic division and I kindly rejected the position. I was not impressed with their organizational skills at all.
MxSecure
I have worked for them for 9-1/2 months now, and they are an EXCELLENT company to work for. They do not offshore. If you would like more information regarding them feel free to let me know. I absolutely LOVE this company and they treat their MTs GREAT! I was hired as a newbie, and this is my first MT position. To be hired with them (and receive a prompt callback from the), you have to test VERY good or they will not hire you. Maybe that was why they took so long to contact you. Also, knowing someone in the company will also get you a callback quicker. As with ANY MT company, test scores make a HUGE impact on whether you get a callback or not. JMHO

I currently work for them (and have since April of 2005)and LOVE this company. I was hired right out of school and could not have picked a better company to work for. Someone is always available to help out and they have a VERY MT friendly platform. They have a very good line counting system. I have NEVER been jipped out of pay and they ALWAYS pay on time (and sometimes early). I have only had a problem 1 time with my pay (they forgot to pay me my extra for working on Christmas), and I emailed them, and received the money the SAME day. They are also growing rather quickly, and there is ALWAYS work. Even if your regular accounts are not very busy, there is ALWAYS someone there to give you more work (and to help you if you have too much work....yes, it does happen). Again, I am VERY happy with MxSecure!
MxSecure
And also if you are someone with a lot of experience as with myself (16 years) they can pretty much tell if you are going to do the job or not WITHOUT TESTING. They had already offered me a position, but I chose not to take because my contact person TOLD ME THEY OFFSHORE. They said they have a domestic and international department.
Mxsecure
They do not have a line count requirement. I currently work for them and they do pay for spaces and ON TIME. They are a GREAT company to work for. If they had benefits, I would NEVER leave them. HTH
MxSecure-Does anyone know anything about them?
I searched the archives and came up with nothing.  Just looking for someone who might have experience with them.
MxSecure
I had a friend that highly recommended them to me.  She used to work for them but quit she needed employee status.  They, according to her, only have IC.  She also said the hours are very very flexible.  They sent her a box of chocolates for her birthday.  I decided to stay in house and work because I need bennies also.
Yes - MxSecure
Have my 2 week notice into MQ right now. Been working PT with MxSecure since October and am going full time with them. Can't wait to be done with MQ and here full time.. really like it!  Email me if you want more info
MxSecure
I have been PT now at MxSecure for about 3 months. I like what I see so far, and will probably be going on FT soon.... If anyone has any interest in this company, please let me know if you have questions. There is an ad posted for work, so wanted to offer a few encouraging words if anyone is interested.
MxSecure
I am the one who works for MxSecure. If anyone has any questions, please email me. If you apply, I would appreciate the referral, that is why I would like to take time to answer anyone's questions... but since someone posted openly the company, just want to ask for anyone applying to please contact me. I am not JUST looking for a referral, I am willing to help and answer any questions also. Thank you. Jolena

Any info out there on MxSecure - I want it all - the good, the bad, and the ugly....  Is it a lot of ESL.  Hard to make your quota, etc..  Thanx ahead of time

I like MxSecure
Been there a year and really like it. Totally IC, 20 hour TAT with specific work pools/assignments. They are hiring now, focusing on full-time which is 1000 lines Monday through Friday.
MxSecure
They require 500 for PT, 1000 for full-time. Monday through Friday. 20 hour TAT, work own hours.
MxSecure
To say that MxSecure is nitpicky would be an understatement.  Interestingly, they have at least one account where a hyphen is always required with the use of the word follow-up, regardless of the context.
MxSecure
I was wondering if there is anybody out there that works for this company. I have a phone interview this afternoon about a clinic position that is mostly ESLs. I was just wondering how their pay is, etc.

TIA!
MxSecure

The pay is low but standard for most TX companies on only clinic work.  Research this company very carefully --- the past, present, and future.

MxSecure?

I need info on this company from somebody that currently works for them. (i.e. easy to make lines, work load, etc).

TIA!

MxSecure
Hi. I worked there for 3 years, and quit last september for the same reason, among others. I asked them about this. They admitted that they outsource to India, but that wasn't the problem. Right. Anyway, it's really too bad, because I have worked at 3 difference companies now, including Transcend and the one I'm at now, and cannot get near the line count I was gettting on the Mx platform. I was even thinking about going back part time if they hire part timers yet. They didn't used to. Anyway, hope this helps. Good Luck
MxSecure, Inc....any info?
.
Mxsecure. I know I posted below
from someone who works there now. Do they pay for spaces? Is the QA point system fair? Any other info?
Does anyone know the pay range for MxSecure? Thx. nm

Anyone get an offer from Mxsecure? NM
oo
MXSecure. Anyone heard of them?
Looks like I'm still looking.
MxSecure pay per cpl, just contractors??

Does anyone know what MxSecure pays per CPL?  I cannot seem to find this info anywhere, either on their site or elsewhere.  Also, do they just employ independent contractors or do they offer employee status as well?  I'm specifically asking about transcription.  Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

I HAVE to get out of SPI.  They are driving me insane!!!!

MxSecure pay per cpl, just contractors??
$.08 cpl and yes ;-)
MxSecure MTs...see message please
If you work for MxSecure, would you mind posting here or emailing me?  I have been offered and accepted a position there (very excited).  I was just wondering how you're doing as far as your work load, how you like the platform, percentage of ESLs you personally get, etc.  Anything positive is very welcome.  I look forward to working with all of you!
ladies at MxSecure

I have dealt with the ladies at MxSecure and they are nicest, most helpful supervisors, recruiters, QA people I have met...

Just remember everyone may have different experiences and nobody should base opinions by a post....

The two companies were MxSecure

However, with both, you are required to transcribe a certain amount of lines a day and also I know for sure with Advanced you must tell them which 3 days a week you will work because I did talk with someone there.

So, neither one of these companies truly fit the bill of IC work for me.  I don't feel required lines is IC, but that's just my opinion and I know others don't feel the same way, so flame away, I guess.

Does MxSecure pay for spaces??
Thanks!!
