Maybe you did not fail. Maybe you did too well

you a rotten offer of less per line. Just consider yourself lucky, things always happen for a good reason, even if it does not seem so at the time.

I think they tell everyone they fail too...sm
Because I think it is strange that they tell you that you failed and then ask you to do the CareerStep course. Even put the link in there. Almost like they are getting a kickback for recommending CareerStep. I have been a working MT for 1-1/2 years. Why would I want to take a course? That is weird.
Im sorry did you FAIL? LOL what an excuse.

That's because you didn't fail...sm
They tell everyone that tests that they failed and then they turn around and ask you if you would like an MT job.
No, many of us cut it....Just you fail, apparently.
I'm not going to dignify your rants any further. If you're so miserable, try to find someone else who will hire you.

If not, sharpen up your skills and perhaps you too can have more work and won't have to spend so much time here whining about no work at TT when others of us have plenty of work.

Just a suggestion.

As I said, I won't be dignifying your misrepresentations of TT on these boards. Others have posted they too have enough work, too.

Perhaps YOU are the only one who isn't cutting it at TT.
What YOU fail to understand is that...
Most of the people on this board have already been through this. So your forewarning this same scenario could begin unfolding in their lives... blah-blah-blah is a total JOKE.

We just dealt with it, like any other business person would. No wailing. No moaning. No gnashing of teeth. Just dealt with it.

Seems to me the folks doing the whining are those MDIers who think 11 cpl plus setting whatever danged scheduled you please was going to continue indefinitely. How utterly and pathetically naive can someone be?!

And you might want to heed your own words: Forewarned is forearmed. Because ... sister ... IT ONLY GETS WORSE.

I feel bad for all the other companies who will be having to dredge through the piles of applications of folks who 'will never never work for a company that offshores' - lol! Maybe they should start poting Crybabies need not apply on their job postings.
I fail to understanding NOTHING
I have no idea what you're babbling about in your post. I WAS proactive and did immediately seek employment elsewhere. That doesn't mean I'm incapable of having the human decency to understand my fellow MTs plight.

You've got quite a hard shell.

Just like a NUT, now that I think about it.

FAIL - You're both wrong....SM
Technically, you are both incorrect. This correct phasing should be:

*If I were the person to whom you were unable to offer a position, then how...*

Wrong use of a couple of words and punctuation in there, ladies.

Carry on...I'm getting some popcorn.
I can assure you, you didn't fail
a QA audit based solely on spelling out numbers.
I didn't fail the test, but... sm
you would not have failed for blanks. In fact, they told me to use blanks if I needed to when I took it because they would not count off for blanks but would surely count off for an incorrect word or guess. I'm sorry you didn't pass, but don't give up. I think you can retest again in 6 months. I happen to think that Webmedx would be worth another testing because it is a good company.
If you don't have "tons of experience," you may fail the test!! nm

I disagree. Unionization will fail and cost
We have no leverage with the offshoring and speech recognition here.

Companies would rather fire us and struggle and turn 100% to those options rather than to let a union come in and have any mediation whatsoever for employees.

I come from a union family, family members being rather high up in 2 separate unions and I have had many discussions with everyone on this issue and this industry. We will lose everything.

I know I would be the first one to bring legal action against any group of MTs who threated the safety of my job.
Yet you and the other poster fail to cite how in your opinion they did not keep sm
their word.  Let's hear it -- cite examples or be quiet.  I know that not all companies are all people, and that's fine.  I have seen people on here raving about companies that I thought were awful, but I just chalk that up to personal preference/experience and don't post vague remarks saying how rotten the company has been.

Old posts say that many MTs fail their testing, and they have offered low pay before, too. Soft

If your hired FT and you fail to meet line counts, you'll lose your benefits including any PTO
that you have acrued. So, it's best to stick to what you signed up for or you'll get moved to PT status and have no benefits.
