Does any work for MediTask out of Texas?  I am currently considering a position with them.  Are they a good company to work for?  Is the pay on time?  Any comments would be appreciated.  Please e-mail me.  Thanks for your assistance.

MediTask

Medi-Task  - there are two active companies.  One, based in Houston,  is a prior offshoot of MediTask (in central Texas), but hasn't been associated with us in 14 years!

My  name is Sarah Mayor.  I started Medi-Task in Houston in 1989, while pregnant with my last child.  It grew.  We moved to central Texas, and in 1995 I sold a PORTION of my company to Matt Read in Houston, and he subsequently sold it to the Indian group in early 2000s.  What I've heard through the grapevine is that neither owners paid much attention paying MTs, and they got a bad reputation.   Unfortunately, I'm getting hit with their reputation.

I don't think you'll find much of anything negative about MY MediTask, which is at www.meditask.net (no hyphen, and .net, not com).  I'm happy to answer any questions for anyone who might be confused or concerned, and I'm happy to share some of our MT's comments about how we work, and how management treats its team members.  We pay on time twice a month, every time, and we use Direct Pay.

Medi-Task.com  was a company in Las Vegas, know little about them. Their site isn't working right now  (3-13-2009).

I just needed to get my 2 cents worth in on this... It's sad to think that my company might have lost out on a  great MT because of lack of info, or misinformation.

MediTask....NOT in Houston

There are two MediTasks.  The one I am wondering about is in Austin....I think.  Is it a nice place to work.  Pay??  Hours/shifts?  Anything would be wonderful!

s meditask.net the same as medi-task.com

Does anybody work for them? TIA

Meditask, LLC. Click the link...has more info. nm

MediTask - Sarah Mayor's group

Time to update my company's info - there remains confusion about the 3-4 different MediTask companies.

You can now reach mine through www.meditask.net  or www.meditask.com (just finally bought the .com this year).

I started this company in Houston in 1989, and sold a portion off in 1995.  The current owners of that portion use both the hyphenated Medi-Task, as well as a version closer to my own mediTask (with a small m), and is now Indian-owned and operated. They still maintain an office in Houston, but the owners are in both Virginia and California.  I have nothing to do with that company.

The LLC Meditask in Las Vegas is a medical management and administration company - and I'm not sure what they do exactly, but am pretty sure it isn't transcription. I have nothing to do with them, either.

Someone tells me there isa MediTask (sp?) in Austin, TX as well - but I don't know anything about them - am thinking that is an offshoot of the one in Houston.

Please don't confuse my company (the original) with any of these others.   If you hear something non-positive about a meditask, please don't report it in a confusing way, but instead use specifics like the owners' name so that those who are reading can better figure out WHICH company to watch out for.

I don't think it's mine... we have a great group of MTs, super tools, a sensible platform, happy clients, and helpful/kind//fair management.  Again, you can find us at www.meditask.net  or www.meditask.com.

Thanks for listening!

Anyone know anything about Global Information Systems? Any information would be appreciated. nm

MedScribe Information Systems, Inc - Information please?

Anyone with information on this company?

Looking for information on QED. sm
I have never heard of them before.  I read some old archives but am interested in hearing from any recent employees.  I've heard the pay is low.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
Information
Does anyone know anything about a company called Archivus?
SM for information.
An expander is a program in which you put in shortcuts to "expand" to longer words, sentences, and phrases. For example, typing "forex" produces "for example." They can be used for phrases like
tp for the patient
lt for left
rt for right
egdx for esophagogastroduodenoscopy

Shorthand and Instant Text are 2 of the most popular.

Check out productivitytalk.com!
Does anyone have any information
TIA
Thank you for the information!
That is helpful.
Thanks for the information.

You were very kind to respond.

No, but if this were information
that was really any of your business, you wouldn't have to ask.

Does anyone have any information
I have asked a few times and can find nothing when I do a search on them? TIA
A little information for you

I am not the original person who answered your post, but I also work for Amphion.  When you are first hired with them, they will basically ask you what hours you plan on working.  They are hours of your choosing, but they just ask that you try to stay working that schedule, so that they can provide adequate coverage on their accounts.  They are, however, very accommodating should you need to change your schedule.  They hire both part-time and full-time employee status.  Very nice folks to work for!  Good luck to you.

Sorry, don't have information but would like to know
Thanks.
I like to come here for information..., sm

but by the time you wade through all the hateful remarks, it just makes you sick!  I am very glad for the time spent on getting rid of some of the junk around here.

Information
Can you email me with more information?  Where are you located?  How many MTs work for you currently?  Thanks!
I'd appreciate any information on any of these, too
--but I can say I did consider FastChart a few years ago; my decision was between them and my current employer, for whom I work as an employee and not as an IC, as I would have with FastChart.

What killed my consideration of FastChart was the poor line rate; I believe it was 0.065/line at the time, and that, coupled with IC status and filing my own taxes, etc., just didn't beat EDiX's offer of 0.07/line plus benefits.

I'm most curious about Oracle and Proscript and appreciate the PS feedback already provided. At this point, I'll take any advice anyone offers, though. I just don't think the future at my present company is looking so bright.

Thanks, all.
There is quite a bit of information in the
archives on Spheris. I worked there and have posted much about them (positive experience). I even posted a lengthy comparison between Spheris and MedQuist.

If you will do a search, you will find plenty of information.

Thanks for the information!

Information (SM)
If you are referring to the parent company of MedQuist, you need to take this discussion to the MQ board.

ALL discussions about MQ are to be on that particular board.

I am letting your post stand for now to see if you will clarify if there is a private MTSO called Phillips MT that you are inquiring about.

Thanks for the information. sm
Everything that I heard about them was good, until I took the job offer, of course!
My information to do with what I want. sm
I agree it is crass to ask someone what they make.  I do not agree that someone has the right to tell my personal information cannot be shared with whomever I chose to share it with.
Thanks for the information. - sm
I guess this should have been titled autotext or word Expander question! They (Futurenet) told me they have a Word Expander program, but I'm guessing they meant the autotext feature in MS Word.

More information

11p - 7 a + $3/h

This is in addition to your line rate.

Where do you get your information?
Please let me know where you heard this because I have worked for Precyse for quite awhile, continue to have the same accounts (probably because they have a lot of ESLs and nobody else wants them).  I do know they have some accounts and MTs testing it out, but are quick to tell us that with the problems all the other companies are having, they are quite hesitant about how efficient and productive it would be.
More information please!

OSi information
I recently had a phone interview with this company, and was very happy with the interview.  Currently I am waiting for a confirmation on the job offer.  Anybody with some information, good or bad, I would be very happy to hear anything.  At this point I feel like I am getting the run around, like they are too busy to get back to me.
