When I accepted the varying availability of reports and starting planning to split my workday to fit the work flow, it all started working for me again.
Let's face it, if the companies we work for don't get accounts--and then keep them happy by keeping work in tat--there will be no work to take care of us with. That includes hiring and training new employees in preparation for new accounts. It's just the way it is.
How about telling your families you'll be working 2 or 3 hours each Monday and Friday night and plan on doing something fun during the slack hours those days?
