Thanks for defending me! - (sm)
After a while one gets quite weary of being chewed up by some of the piranhas on this board every time one speaks the TRUTH. Some people need to take a close look at the way they react to the downward spiral of this profession, as that reaction simply perpetuates the downslide.

In the meantime, since Free Speech is still one of our constitutional rights in this country (at least I HOPE so!), I intend to use that privilege.
you keep defending them in every sm
possible way. If you like the way things are in India maybe you should go there and work with them. I bet you would change your mind.
I'm not defending the southener, but I have been
to Pittsburgh many, many times, as well as all over the country, and I must agree - Pittsburgh people are quite rude ... even more rude than NYC people - CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!
I hate defending them, but....
If you got your line count from the Word function, it's not really accurate. You have to take the character count (with spaces) and divide by 65, and then your line count should match theirs. I think the Word one counts real lines, which, sadly, nobody does anymore.
Not exactly defending the practice
First, I'm not a big fan of mandatory overtime anyway. I understand sometimes they need it, but after 40, there are some weeks where I don't even have another minute in me to give them.

I've also had the same thing with overtime...being happy because they're requesting it for an account that's semi-easy and I'm good at, and then logging on to find out it's the account from hail. I can't be the only one from that hail-storm to be working, and I can only assume they're not too backed up because they're not the ones looking for OT, so why oh why oh why must I type any of the Chennai Boomhauer in my spare time.

It must have something to do with different turnaround because I don't think my place assigns them. At least in theory, although I've not seen the spread sheets to prove it, it's first in/first out to me. I did ask them about this one other time I signed on for overtime at the slightly better place and got stuck with Hail Community Hospital. I was still eligible for the OT, but I'd have gotten probably double if I'd have been typing the actual account that needed the OT.
Defending dishonesty is being dishonest
.
woah! simmer down, I wasn't defending
the other poster. I was trying to somewhat understand what they meant. Like the name suggested I'm neutral here. This is my second post, I was NOT the one slamming you.
100% equals perfect (?), not that I care, I was defending the other poster...
you post you have 100% quality consistently for 5 years - anyone who brags or throws out that kind of information is open for criticism.

I have no interest in typos on this board and never think less of anyone, only when they are making statements like the one you made, then I feel the poster had a legitimate comment.
Please look at your posts defending dishonest cherry-pickers, then look at yourself.
