I got my invoice Thursday and sent it in Thursday. Guess you are special. Hip hip hooray. nm

Maybe 45 minutes, didn't keep track though sm

wasn't bad in my opinion.  Pretty routine questions, the more you know off your head, the faster it goes and also if you keep the small talk down and get to business, doesn't take that long.

Hmmm..everyone got different tests huh..Mine were over 5 minutes a piece. I didn't do them. I thi
someone is trying to get free work.
I'm swamped and want a day off. Please come to work!
x
Not sure what account they have you on ...but I'm swamped with work..
I definitely would ask for another account. It is rare that there would not be any work. I work two accounts and sometimes my primary does get low but there is always a backup account. This just doesnt seem right. Even over the holidays, they were screaming for help on the accounts I was on..
Huh? I am swamped with work.... it is extremely busy.
Are you sure you are talking about the same place????
so far plenty and swamped with work but that is due to new accts and not enough MTs yet so not sure
;
They DO run out of work a lot, but we have been swamped on my accounts this week nm
nm
My hospital is swamped also - too much work! Can't figure out these companies either. nm

I don't think we work at the same place, but I have been working lots and lots of hours.
Very thankful to have a decent job.
Different company but no slow down, swamped but we were before holidays. Nice having work..

Maybe it's the accounts your on. I work for MDI-FL and I'm swamped with work..
Sorry.. I had gone through a few days a while back of slower work, but lately especially since over the holidays, it has been crazy.. too much work..
5 minutes to type and 15 minutes to edit - some news
I spoke with my friend at the radiology group yesterday. The brass came in and asked why it was taking so long to get the rad reports onto the chart. My friend, the lead MT at the group told them that since they have multiple programs (one for each type of report) that it was very cumbersome to make sure all components of the report were actuallly integrated into the report. So instead of it taking 5 or less minutes to type a cohesive reoprt, it now takes 15 minutes for that same report. They also told her that the percentage of reports needing to be editing has increased by some 10%. They wanted to know what was up with that. She told them that either they go back to straight MT or they hire more editors and IT staff. Things are so rosy in the land of VR, it seems.
Lots and lots of work. You will love

All's I know is, I've never been out of work for more than 5 minutes...

90% of the time I'm on my main account and have something like five backups.  Also, I asked my manager to train me on the account that's always super backed up (like 200+ reports every day) so I'd have that as back-up, also.

Running out of work is gonna happen sometimes; it's the nature of the beast.  And like I said, it's never lasted long.  I'll take the teeny little hiccups in work flow over the low hospital pay and bitchy co-workers/managers any day of the week.

You are assigned "x" amount of minutes every day, you work that out between the
two of you. IC status. Pay is on time every two weeks, but there is a long wait before you get your first check. After that, it's smooth sailing.
Call them. I have lots of work, had lots of work
during the holidays too.   I don't know who routes the work, but one of the office people is on vacation this week.   I occasionally have to call to get work depending on what hours I'm working, but I have never not gotten work when I've asked for it.
I have work, just had to wait about 20 minutes after I signed in..no biggie. nm

Tomorrow being Thursday
I'd ask if you could give them an answer on Monday, unless they seem desperate to get you started right away and make an immediate offer.

Personally, I'd make sure I called WMX before the other interview so I'd have a better idea of how to proceed. If WMX isn't going to make an offer, you'll know going into the other interview and can feel free to accept whatever they may offer.

Let us know what happens :-)

Lots of promises, no follow through. Lots and lots of internal sm
problems. She is recruiting heavy right now as she has a CHANCE at getting a big account back. Even if they get it back, they'll blow it again from poor management.
I tested last Thursday and got an email
right after submitting my test in regards to an oral test, which I did on Friday. The QA person I spoke to on Friday told me I tested extremely well and that I would get an offer by Monday. However, I was contacted yesterday by email saying that my 20+ years experience did not qualify me for their current openings.

Try calling them though. Who knows you still may have a shot. Good luck.
yes very very busy will answer thursday NM

mine was cut as of last thursday but it started
this PP
my check was there on Friday, it usually is on Thursday which is early

It took over 2 weeks for me to get my response..but I did e-mail here again last Thursday and
finally got a response.  As far as I know, they are not done yet with everyone's schedules so please try again.  If not Lee, call or e-mail Martha or Becky or call your lead Transcriptionist and tell them.  I know they are busy with the new insurance changes and Aflac coming on board but I would definitely try someone else in the office.  Good Luck!
Lots of work here too. I cannot figure out which accounts have no work.
I'm on the Escription platform
Great place to work. LOTs of work and (sm)
as the other poster noted, somewhat flexible.  Make your lines and they pretty much leave you be.  Communication is great, QA is great.  The platform is extremely easy.  There's plenty of work to go around and then some.
Escription has been out of work. Dictaphone has lots of work.

lots of work
I got bored and tired of MQ not ever having any work, and I have found 2 part time positions that allow me to work whenever I want so long as I can get the required lines within a certain time frame. So far, I have worked for one platform for one month and the other for 1 day and already I am averaging more lph than with MQ. Think DocQScribe stinks maybe? Then add to that the time it takes for that stupid Etime logging baloney. I can't believe it took me this long, but it seems pretty plain to me.
I have lots of work on my
If you don't already have a secondary...ask for one.
Probably everything you said. I have lots of work.
Lots of companies overhire probably because they need the work done and there are always a few MTs who have issues and don't work regularly or don't do their committed lines, so they hire more to make up for it.   It is possible they may be offshoring too.  You can ask about the company here and if they are offshoring someone may know.  Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do about either situation.
lots of work?
So which company is it you work for that gives you lots of work?
Lots of work.
Software productive and becoming more so as enhancements are made to the program.
They do have lots of work. That is plus.
x
yes, there is usually lots of work
once in a while, it does run out but not for very long and it really doesn't happen that often.
Lots of work here
I get e mails once or twice a week from my account work flow coordinator (that are sent out to everyone) saying that the volume has picked up and anyone who wants more lines and more $$ is welcome to sign on.
Amphion has lots of work
I would very much like to talk with you and offer my assistance regarding your concerns of overhiring and lack of work. Something must be amiss and I would like to solve your dilemma yet today. We have lots of work, are still recruiting cream of the crop MTs, and pride ourselves on treating our team members fairly.

Is there always lots of work at Precyse? Do they do
nm
I work for First Choice and have lots of ops.
I am not sure if they are hiring, but you can always check.
Lots of work on my account... but I saw the
intrascript e-mail too. I am sure if you do not have enough work you can go on it. Contact the office.
Lots of reasons. Lie about pay, no work,
no questions answered.
Lots of work - I have NEVER had this issue
x
Seem to be running out of work lots more...
hopefully just a coincidence???
They do pay on time & have lots of work sm
but I found it difficult to make any money there. They use a Word counter, which is definitely short. Some TATs they have are unreasonable. Because of the way work comes in, your work day could be stretched from 6 in the morning to 9 at night. I like to work with a set schedule, so it was not a good fit for me. They may have different platforms now.
I see lots of mistakes too and I work there
We can look up old reports and I am astounded by some of the mistakes made. Makes me wonder how they even got out of 100% QA. One report for a dictator I knew to be on ASR looked like they didn't even edit it -- it was just a string of words that made no sense.

Have no idea what's going on there, except there is the usual big push for production. Don't know which accounts the Indians are on, but they do have Indian coordinators working the overnight shift; they have given them phony American names, but it is easy to tell they are not from here. I'm getting aggravated with the place but don't want to be a job hopper.
lots of work, on all 3 of my accounts, always will.
nm
Lots of ESLs and not much work. nm

There is lots of work at Transcend!
I've been with Transcend for over 2 years now and have NEVER run out of work. There have been times when work was a little slow, but if you can be a flexible during these instances (usually around the holidays, like all companies in my experience) you will always stay busy. You just have to communicate with your managers and they will bend over backwards to make sure you are working.

Good luck with your training, Passing Through! Please come back and share your success story! There are many of us Happy Transcenders. We just don't get a chance to chat on the forums often because we are busily typing away!
Lots of different work types
.
I work for a company with lots of work,

I work a second/third shift position and I still run out of work.  I asked for a secondary account probably 6 weeks ago and haven't received one yet.

You can call the MTSO or your supervisior, but they really don't care, the work is getting done and that is all that really matters.

St. Louis has LOTS of work on most all accounts
