greatest!  Hated to hear that he had left.  We got some real doozies for tech help now.  The MT ends up training them.  They are clueless as to what to do when we need help.  TRUTH!


They ALWAYS have a BAD attitude in their voice, too -- like we MT's are a bother to them -- thought that is what they get paid for.

You can believe those on this board saying NO WORK at Transtech ! Absolutely true !!

Getting worse and worse every day.  They are going to VR at a VERY FAST PACE, which pays so little you cannot survive on the money UNLESS you work 60 hours a week OR are one of the supe's fav's that get the better dictators.


There is always an excuse by TT as to the low work, but remember that doesn't pay our creditors.  Work disappears in large chunks when were at getting almost out of TAT (if ever) so it is going somewhere.


TT is turning out to be like every other MT company out there - more and more executives/supervisors to pay and not a single penny raise for the MT -- much less provide work for the MT's on a consistent basis -- not near consistent basis.


Has anyone LEFT Trans-tech? There have been (sm)
such good things posted here, nothing negative, and I'm curious if anyone has been dissatisfied or left for any reason?  Thanks

Not true anymore. More platforms are Vista compatible. sm
I work for Keystrokes and bought a new computer about 3 months ago. I asked if Vista worked and I was told that it is about 50/50 right now and more are compatible all the time. This is everywhere, not just Keystrokes.


TransTech DOES NOT CARE about their MT's anymore ! ! !

Absolutely no way for ALL MT's to get their same paycheck amounts.  Some of the *favs* of E gets their paycheck/lines. 


Don't listen to anyone who says their paychecks have not DECREASED over the past year or more!  They are not telling the truth!!!   Some of E's *favs* may get close, since they throw in the work into queues, rather than letting the work flow ! ! ! ! 


Why even ask the question.  TT has BADLY OVERHIRED to cover their butts and they don't care if ALL of us have work or not.  You can just wait until December when supposed account is coming onboard, that there will be the excuse of holiday time.  TT is not the same company as it was 2 and 3 years ago . . . downhill, downhill, downhill . . .

I wish people would get real facts before they say untrue things on this forum. I guess if you don't give a hoot about your credit and knowing people are delving into it at their whim instead of yours, then you can believe what you read here. Not true anymore. That changed this past week when they decided that to go back to having PT MT'
I talked to my Coordinator who told me that during their meetings this past week at the office, it was decided that some PT positions were necessary.

The decision for FT only was officially made in September but they have decided to go back to having some PT MT's fo fill the needs of some accounts. There will be definite standards to be met, including must have one weekend shift and must do a minimum of 2500 lines a week, but there will be some PT MT's hired when needed. She did say that the number of positions would be limited, trying to fill accounts with FT MT's first.

This came directly from one of the Coordinators who was in the meetings last week.

but professions. My husband is a member of the electricians union, and my father is a member of a pipefitters union. My dad has been a member of the same union for decades, and he's worked at numerous different places through the years. Same thing for my husband.

Having your own business totally soaks your time away!!!  You'll find out that is if you can get the clients.  You'll have to bid low because the competitor is way cheaper like big nationals.  Be prepared to work for 9 or 10 cpl.  JMO.

TransTech leads and QA have enough work anymore! Are you either? Re payroll co. change,

I remember that well -- SUDDEN HURRY to get paperwork turned in to new company (same paperwork as a new-hire wound fill out).  Then the new payroll company did a horrible job of putting the data in, and made horendous mistakes in our personal info, etc.  I remember that HURRY very well !


No warning whatsoever to the MT's; just unbelievable mistakes made by new payroll company, and am sure it was due to the BIG RUSH put on them.

poor quality, poor work ethics, cherry picking, disappearing for days on end, not covering their shifts or line counts, crazy HR people (both were nuts and evil). 


Good and bad at every company including KST, MQ, Spheris, Transcend, etc.

All they want to do is come into our computer because they know absolutely NOTHING about what they are doing.  It is dread each and every contact made with the tech people at TT.  Time-consuming training by the MT for the tech people who are salaried and not being paid by the line.  J____ was absolutely EXCELLENT and HELPFUL.  Another sad  situation when he left.  Tech not been the same help since then.

Before you JUMP ON ME, yes, I have done VR with Transtech and absolutely hated it because
I cannot make the same money I can with traditional transcribing and I like to see a good report when I am finished.  I am a sole provide for myself and MUST MAKE GOOD MONEY to survive in this world!  I am not working for the fun of it.  Again, YES, I have given VR a chance with Transtech already -- unable to use expanders/briefs/etc.  NOT ENOUGH money to be made with VR -- 1/3 of my line rate, not hardly.

I agree 100%. You people have absolutely no idea

of this person's capacity for selflessness and generosity, to the point of putting herself last in an effort to achieve many goals and in the face of adversities I wouldn't wish on the harshest critics here (although youse guys are tempting me!).  If you didn't cut with through her, there is a reason for that and I know her employer cuts to the chase much more deftly than you would be able to withstand so I know she backs this recruiter 100%.  They both can run circles around you.  You have no idea how tightly knit some MTSOs are and the ones here bad mouthing this person won't stand a chance getting a job in certain places if their lives depended on it.


Go sell crazy somewhere else.


Mine has ALWAYS been in my bank on Friday, if not before, from Transtech, so absolutely different

This pay period is different.  My bank is such a good bank, so it is NOT the bank.  I called my bank and a DD is not even pending from Transtech.  New payroll person inhouse may want to save TT $$$  by holding off on our pay.  Things are changing at TT every day now.  It has been SO GOOD for over a year.   Sigh . . . .


TransTech provides absolutely benefits for their senior MT's, but your protected ! ! !

Strange you didn't know you were pregnant; hate people who use the system for having fun and getting pregnated.  Just what this world needs is more kids!!!! 


Lots of benefits for the pregnant, as the mgmt-type people at TT want those types of benefits for themselves !   They choose benefits desired by themselves, such as the hybrid vehicle -- who cares about???


IMHO you should lose your job, just as we mature MT's would lose our job at TT if we were to miss months of work !!!!!

Ya know what, I am not here daily but I seem to see some of the same theme over and over and then to take heed. I know people stretch, etc, but I believe it, yes, I do.(one that got me recently was PAYPAL and having to pay $10 for a check that is $240 to get paid, (20 a month)
I love the company -- great people, good tech support, sm

good benefits.  The pay could be more, but at least there is a production incentive tier that is not too tough to achieve.   Overall, I would say this is probably one of the best places I have ever worked.  If the no work situation continues, I guess I will just have to call them and ask for a secondary.  Everyone in the office has always been very helpful and supportive.   I just get nervous when it is not a holiday or anything and no files are available.  That is just my little thing, I guess.  I still would not hesitate to recommend the company to anyone.

TransTech pays 4 and 4.5 for VR... She said she just left

a place that paid that....   Could it be one in the same?  


Probably would be better for her to just straight type.  That is what I have to do also.  HATE VR....

I know that at least 20 or so people quit around the same time I did! Even though it is super annoying, it is sometimes funny to read their e-mails when they are panicking because they don't have enough people.
You see - all the good people have left OSI
She was super. She was treated very very badly at OSI. We will all be in better shape very soon as long as we can get another job before they are all taken. I think alot of people are leaving Medquist and they are going to be grapping some of the available jobs too. The old saying- Time is of the essence.

Yes, I worked for them for 9 years and finally had to leave because they cut may pay in half. At least 4 people from my team alone have left, and I suspect many more are leaving. Horrible insurance with sky-high deductables, abusive team leaders, no holiday pay, expectations to work most holidays. I never got a raise in 9 years. Terrible place, they just keep cutting benefits/pay/perks.
Yes, some really great, talented people have left, and that's
always a danger sign to me. If upper management keeps being mentioned as a reason these good people are leaving, somebody should take notice. This company seems to be hemorrhaging talent and keeping an incompetent, power-hungry suit. It's hard to know whether to leave or stay. I would not recommend them to anyone right now.

I am presently working for another company and am somewhat satisfied.  Am considering Diskriter.  I do not want to make a wrong decision.  If you worked there and left, please let me know if you would be willing to give me some information (bad or good).  I know people hesitate to get into specifics on this forum - email me and I will contact you.  I am just so hesitant to make another change.

issue can this be.  Also, is the sound on these accounts poor.  That is the other problems I have heard people comment on.  I was really looking for uptodate comments.  How bad are these issues at present.  I dont want to leave one company with no work problems and go to another one with the same problem.  I cant be available 24/7 to get work with having a family.
