Has anyone gotten a job from any company not posting regularly from their resume in the resume
s
Try posting your resume
I was contacted through this site.  I too like OP reports.  I was contacted by a small company to transcribe for a surgery center.  Mon thru Fri, no weekends, same account every day.  It was a dream come true!!
Posting Resume
For people who have posted their resumes, what was your experience and how was the response. Thanks.
Resume posting
I placed a resume and heard from quite a few people, but their responses came very quickly after posting.
Resume posting

P.S. The companies that respond to your resume are usually ones that do not post ads in MT Jobs. I say go for it!! What do you have to lose!

Forum for posting my resume?
On MT Stars where I can post my resume.  If anyone has that link or can tell me what forum that would be, could you please post it again?  Thanks!
Has anybody gotten hired from a contact directly from posting your resume .. sm
Just wondering if posting my resume on here is a wise idea and what kind of success other MTs have experienced with posting theirs on these types of sites, versus sending your resume to a company in response to their ad.
Try posting your resume on Career Builders. You'll
space, accounting, all kinda stuff.  Even if you specify what type of work and where you want it, especially with the locality option, you get all kinds of goofy stuff, but some are pertinent.  I got so many I had to unsubcribe.
You were just posting on her board
when she didn't like your avatar.  ???????????  I'm not sure I understand this whole thread.  There are a lot of companies that offshore and there are also a lot of companies that do not pay ever.  It's a shame, but it's true.
How did they get your name from posting on this board. nm

Before posting on any board you should know the rules/
guidelines.   There is a link on the top of each page that tells you what you need to know and one of them is not to post account information.  No one is attacking you.  It is just common sense that you don't go around posting account information.
It's simple, look at the job posting board.
The more ads you see from the same company, they are the companies to avoid.  They have the biggest turnover and the worst MTs.
WHO is being sued for posting on the board?
Seriously is someone being sued for their post?

If so, what is the charge?

On the face of it, this seems outrageous - would appreciate any details you can share.

Search the Job Seeker board and post your resume. (SM)
Then evaluate the results for yourself.
hi karen, i sent out a resume and got a response, but not working for them yet. ad on job board. nm

Was let go from Zylomed because of posting to MTStars board
Just a little followup to my post of 10-14-06 post to this board.  The Zylomed MT manager failed to address the real issue I raised concerning taking away regular work without notice or explaination, but decided to let me go today because of my post about their company to this board.  So, because of my comments I have been let go.  Maybe it's best to not name company names (excuse me, my tongue is in my cheek) on a board that's specifically designed to uncover these problems.  So, MTs beware, I guess.  However, I received many supportive emails from others visiting this board--one of those kind MTs referred me to another service that I'm starting with tomorrow (while I beat the pavement locally.)  Much happier MT today!  Feel like I can breathe again.  This board has awesome support.  All worked out well.

I may be posting this question on the wrong board but
does anyone know who manufactures or carries a computer chair that has arms which pivot from the position at each side of the chair (regular position for armrests) to the front of the chair which gives you a really nice armrest. I saw one chair like this recently, but before I could even look into buying it, the college that was using it put it in for their auction and I lost track of it. It was the nicest chair I have ever sat in and the one I have now is ready for retirement. Thanks so much if anyone knows of this. :)
Posting on the company board and companies figuring out

who it is.  Okay, this is the topic, and the reason why I am bringing this up is there were at least 2 posts here in the last week stating they believed the company would find out or did find out they posted here and they said negative things and might get fired or did not get hired because of it.

How is this possible? Can a recruiter or boss actually pin down who is posting? What if someone says something and they are a troll and sounds like a situation which the company person perceives is an employee and they take it out on the possible new hire or employee and they are wrong?

There have been posts here in the past by company managers who say if they find out who is posting they will sue for slander.  Then, MTs come on here and assume that the companies go to the board managers and get the IP address to figure out who this is.  Even if it was a certain IP address, and they went through this whole process to find out, it could be routed through another IP address such as overseas (this is often done in the case of hiding identity).

Since this is an anon board, how can any company say for sure it is a certain person. Why would they go to the trouble unless it were given to the police or a lawyer in the case of attempted murder or threat of such?

I want to know you opinions. And moderator please feel free to comment.  Wondering if our IP addresses are given out every time a company suspects something and if so, is this an invasion of our privacy since this should be anon.  Or, is it that people are paranoid, whether it be the employee/new hire, or company assuming such.  Remember to never assume because why? You make an *** out of u and me.

Thanks for your comments.  This has been bothering me a while now, and I would like to get some input back on this issue from companies and from posters alike.

WAITING FOR WORK? POSTING ON JOB SEEKERS BOARD.sm

07/28/09 for new MTs, FT & PT, all shifts.  Are they saying the accounts are UNDERSTAFFED?

Naturally, the new hirees will be gooing and gushing all over this board again about how GREAT their accounts are and how  EASY their dictators are.

I JUST WONDER WHAT THIS LATEST, YET ANOTHER HIRING BLITZ IS GOING TO LEAD TO IN ANOTHER FEW WEEKS.  Anyone care to predict?  .

The problem with posting a question like that on a public board is that you could get inaccurate inf
I asked a question about a company I worked for, received 5 responses all saying the same thing, that we were paid for a holiday, which was wrong. I counted on it and was in a bind because of it.
God forbid the poor poster made a mistake by posting on the wrong board!! Good grief!

No but I sent them a resume - sm
They never responded to it.  I have a ton of experience, too.  Doesn't bode well for them to me.
sent resume
I sent a resume to MDtalknet and am waiting for a response, I even live in the same town, not that that really makes a difference.
Sent my resume in...sm

2 weeks ago and have not received an e-mail regarding testing.  I have 25+ years of experience, mainly acute care, 6 in radiology.  Wonder if they wanted more radiology experience.

Are you sure they got your resume? I know that they are
hiring for ortho right now. I have been there 3 years and the account I am on is expanding and I know of at least two new accounts.

If you did not hear, I would either call or re-email.

Ok, thanks, I see it now.  Thank you!
Yes, I sent a resume - sm
I think I asked for more money than they pay because they thanked me for the resume and said maybe sometime in the future they would keep me in mind.  In other words, never.

Go Gal!  You reflect the sentiments of those of us who would not dare, but love to include your comments on our resume's.  Don't we all just love doing the header research for free!  Sigh, Is there light at the end of the tunnel?  God Love Ya!
I sent a resume
I sent a resume thru MTStars about 1-1/2 weeks ago, have 25 years experience doing all reports and have not heard a word from them.
