QAing

This is what I am saying: They take A REPORT (does not matter how many lines) and say -- well, you made A MAJOR ERROR and that is 2 points. So your score is 98%. The wrong part is the 98%. It is NOT 98% right. It is an entire report minus 2 points. Now, the entire report is what the doctor said - every word should be one point, the correct sp of each word should be a point, the correct medical word should be a point, etc. etc. In order for your score to truly be 98% that would have to mean you got 98% of the REPORT right. They are saying -- your score is 98% but that is not a true value. Stop and think about what I am saying - if it was an English paper, you would get scores for content AND format-the way QA is done is very easy to manipulate -- and always in favor of the company, NOT the MT. Just the idea of taking one document of any length and saying it is valued the same as another document twice as long when you are looking for content, format, and a hundred other things -- it does not make sense. Say what you want, but when you really consider what I am saying -- it is wrong.

Do you have any idea what the rate is for QA Specialists with WebmedX? Sounds like a good company from what I hear and believe me I am searching for one.
QAing
What is their website? I tried Futurenet.com and that does not bring them up.
Yes - you are not really QAing
you are training - huge HUGE difference.
I have been QAing for

production...Pay is not that great.  Salary or hourly is the way to go.  Which company do you get paid salary and work as many hours as you want?

It depends on what you are QAing. If you have
good MTs and are only filling in blanks you can make good money by the line.  If you're doing work that is from India the only way to make money is by the hour.
