Tell your dentist's daughter to RUN. I have been in this business for too many years to count and if I had a dollar for each crying person (usually a single mom) who told me about TranSCAM's promises, I would not have to work anymore. I would be very wealthy. I hope your dentist and/or his daughter have the good sense to do a background check on these scammers. Call the BBB for starters.
Transtech has forgotten about their "love" of their MT's

Always something BIG coming our way . . . This has been promised for almost a year now.  Nothing but low/no work situations on a weekly basis, whether end of pay period or not.  This is the 1st week of pay period and NO work.

Nice just doesn't pay bills.  So you who say how nice people they are must have someone else to pay your bills!

TT has REALLY OVERHIRED within the past 3 weeks, but NO WORK BEFORE THEN even.  Just not thinking of their MT's obviously.  TT was an excellent company before the past year . . .

can't anyone answer my question - what's with all the puffy "love the company" comments
I didn't ask if this is a good company to work for.
This so reminds me of
the years I worked for a group of doctors that really gave nice and very much appreciated bonuses.  Those were the days.  The docs then moved the practice to a larger office, had a big grand opening for the the healthcare community, catered and pianist and the works.  That year we were told our Christmas bonus was to work in such a lovely new office.  Couldn't take that to the bank, fellas;-)
Reminds me of I know you are but what am I

She reminds me of the old saying
of not confusing people with facts when their minds are already made up. I do not care about whether she has rugrats or not; they are not my responsibility. However, I do want someone who cares enough to proofread what is basically an on-line resume or query for job. If she doesn't care about that, she will probably be too busy with the rugrats to care about proofing any work she does for me. But I guess that a poor excuse is better than none at all.
reminds of one of the first
doctors I had to transcribe.. in every report she would say Typist, typist!  Go back and..... put this in.   Take that out.
Reminds me...funny
Can't remember why but I declined a job offer from YOG.  Think it had something to do with LD charges maybe.  The very next week they were sold to MQ.  I surely was glad I had declined the offer as I would have gone to a lot of trouble just to end up right  back where I started from. LOL
Reminds me of another MTSO. If I were you, I would
ask the board administrator to remove all your postings
this reminds me of Keystrokes

a while back.  This same bantering back and forth.  The OP of the MDI-MD posts just asked if others were out of work.  The Medquist board has posts like that all of the time, so what makes MDI-MD an exception to this rule where MT's come to ask if others are out of work.

Why come here and say you're out of work just for spite?  It makes no sense to me.  When this original poster brought up the fact she had no work, no one responded.  Why didn't Carlotta respond to her initially with this blurb?  Why?  Because she didn't know it was here until some MDI MT blabbed.  If people would just sit back and take things with a grain of salt, we'd be better off.

By the way, there are lots of questions posted here regarding companies and their workload and the way they treat MTs, so I don't see the big deal or why Carlotta even felt the need to post here the way she did unless she has a guilty feeling about this whole original post from below.

I think that MDI-MD was put up here as one of the better companies and people begging to get in just like Keystrokes was, and now people are finding out that not all companies have that everything.  Good luck to all of you, but I'd like to see this thread locked.  I think this has gone on long enough.

We will reach our own conclusions as we always do.  Peace!

It reminds me of when I worked there
I remember it was the middle of June and the excuse for no work was *Oh, well, it must be the holiday coming up*! I can laugh about it now, but it made me steam at the time.

P.S. For those of you who still believe that old chestnut it's the holiday, try to remember that maybe a day or two before and a day or two after the holiday is the norm. Any other time, it's called not enough work to go around.
Funny you should bring this up as it reminds
The work was done in Word but I received progress notes where I had to line it up.  The office would give me the last progress note, and then I had to add to that so it was just an ongoing chart note for each visit with the new date.  In other words, this doc drove me to drink.  So, I charged him $5.00 per page.  He called me into his office to talk about this, and he said to me:  I know I can afford to pay more than $3.00 for a pack of cigarettes, but I won't.  He wanted to know why I was charging him so much because I guess he thought his wealth was the reason.  Right then and there, I said I can certainly be replaced if you prefer not to pay what my services are worth.  AND I NEVER LOOKED BACK.  Just thought I'd share...      Come to find out, he still does not have a steady transcriptionist.  They are still LOOOOKING.  One girl lasted one day, one girl took one tape and never came back....  Need I say more?  If that is truly the case that the transcriptionists in another country cannot afford the fee, then Americans should be given the same option since our wages are not what they used to be.  Maybe it should be based on income especially since it is such an incentive....     YEAH RIGHT!!!
Yes it is ridiculous. It kind of reminds me
of the type who would defend Nadya Suleman's selfish irresponsible behavior.

Yes, MTs can and do get written up/terminated for this. It's up to good MTs like us to report it :)
That so reminds me of that movie Outsourcing
Those cheesy gifts that represented America being sold from India, lol!
The monkey thing reminds me of
but not all that funny when we have to pay bills.

& send separate checks for OT after MT reminds them

Reminds me of QT. Same deal, bunch of people SM
from YOG (sorry, but true), went to work there and everyone joined the bandwagon. Then kaput.

I truly wish better for all MTs at TT. Seems like they have a good team to start with.

I'm sure I will get flak for posting this. I wish you all luck. I hope it is the dream come true everyone wants. I wish all MTs well and peace in the world.
Are well all running out of work? Seems late in Jan for that? Overhiring? Reminds me of the Q...
:(
HA! Reminds me of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.. remember that ? nm
