There is nothing good to say about SoftScript.

Test post for email

Sorry, this is only to test.  I cannot post here if my email shows up.

There were post on another board about test dictations violating HIPAA regs. sm
Some people seemed to think they were using actual dictations, with actual patient info, in their test dictations.  I would leave them alone, way alone.
Usually a spelling test, a punctuation test, and maybe 3-6 test files to do. Sometimes done using

Still loving the 10-12 hours a day for 3 days in a row. Not.

Can anybody figure out what $1.25 per 1000 characters really equals in cpl? Their ad says it ''equals out to about 9 cents a line,'' but my calculations aren't making any sense (probably because of spaces not being paid, I'd guess? ... I don't know how to convert from 65 cpl with spaces versus without).
scroll down this page for talk of better

Scroll down a couple pages (sm)
There are a few posts about them, nothing good that I saw.  I do remember complaints about not enough work and the owner needing to sharpen up on his communication and people skills.
scroll to posts from the date

03-03-2007. Theye are posts from management regarding PT issue.

If you'll scroll down the page there have only been about
2 dozen posts about them in the past week.
What? There are a ton of TT MTs posting here. Scroll through the last few pages.
I would estimate that 95% of what you see posted here about TT is positive.
Yes, I was wrong in that I couldn't scroll down
person is basically a third party, getting us the work while we can still enjoy IC status, who cares?? Let her do the work, if that's what the MTs who work for her want.   I certainly would rather sit back and transcribe and not handle all the other MAJOR stuff that comes with having our own accounts.  Its a heck of a lot more work than you intimate.  I'd gladly pay for a middle man to handle the big BS stuff, not worth the pennies more to me.  So, to each his/her own, right?  Peace!! Get upset at other bigger issues out there!
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and
go to page 2. There's a list almost at the top of the page. Hope this helps!
Scroll down and read the numerous posts over the
last week or so.  Also dozens of posts in the archives.
Scroll down the board. This company has been asked about
several times this week, if not every day this week.   Not much info other than they don't pay very well.
Tons of stuff in the archives or scroll down a
bit.  They have been discussed extensively here recently.  For the most part it is all good.
They have been discussed within the past week, scroll down and
see if you can see the post.  S/B lots more posts in archives.  Nothing good.
For icons scroll down to "post reply to this msg"

If you scroll down you'll see lots of info.

I took a test for a company and my foot pedal would work with the test and I had keep going back
over the dictation time and again to get all the words because I couldnt stop and start it by the foot pedal.  What can I do about this.
Just took the test myself. No actual dictation to transcribe. Just a written test.
For 13 cpl, I might do it if the dictators aren't a total horror.
I just took the test today - thought it was a great test of MT skills.

Just scroll back several days and search the pages for webmedx. nm

There is no written test. Must have been a different company. I took their ortho test sm
and it was easy. You had to know your terminology but it was easy to understand AND I used my foot pedal.
Scroll down a week or so. Tons of good stuff. Great company

Is the test through mttest.com a timed test? Thanks. nm

Peachy, your post is interesting, but my post now is irrelevent but
A few weeks ago I went to my clinic where they had recently implemented EHR or EMR, whichever you call it, and the doctor's back was to me the whole time he and I conversed because his nose was stuck in his laptop. To me, it felt a little more impersonal, but I understand he was doing what he had to do, but it seems like the bedside manner may go to the wayside if the doctors can't even look at you when they are asking you questions or you are speaking to him/her. I know this is relevant to your original post, but just an interesting fact that I had not anticipated. Anyone else experience this?
This is why I NEVER post my cpl. I'll post the range of
what the company pays, but NEVER what I make.  I know that I make more than probably 70% of the people there, because they know I produce a client ready report and that I can do anything they throw at me.   We don't have levels, but I guess if we did I'd be at the highest level.    Telling how much you make isn't so bad, but when people know what company you work for and then what you make that isn't a good combination.  The ONLY people I have ever discussed what I make with, are my husband and my MTSO owner.   Talking about your salary/pay is enough to get your fired in lots of companies.

One post was another "run" type of post and the
the recruiter. Once you are in with the company, the recruiter has nothing to do with you or your job. I want specifics about problems with THE JOB, not the recruiter.  Specifics such as no or late checks, line counts being messed up, no work, taking bennies away with no explanation. Things that matter, not the recruiter.
