I have no reason to meet with you, have a good job and certainly do not care to discuss with you where you send your work. I know what I read and it was quoted by a top official at your company. Even though you said the newspaper slanted the story like they wanted it to read, I saw quotes and never saw where the paper did a retracation of the story.

The person I am talking about started the second week in October for HR but the recruiter has been
with us since late summer.

I am going to dig into this, so thank you for the information. There is too much back and forth going on here to sort through what is true and what is not, so I am going to take some time and take it to my coordinator.

It might seem petty to a lot of you that we are willing to do this, but reputation is important and we have all been working too hard to let things like this happen.

I know that there will be flames here but the truth is that the Keystrokes Management Team has been working very hard to reverse a lot of things that happened in the past in order to make KS the best company in the industry. This takes time.

I do know that there are a lot of happy MTs at KS as we do not have a lot of emplpyee turnover, but I also know that one unhappy person can be like poison. Rather than attacking that person or persons, we are working on the reasons that they are unhappy and working to change that.

If KS was such a bad company, it would not grow as it has. I am not saying that they are perfect, just that they are not as this board portrays.

Another thing is that so many people attack the owner and say that she is unprofessional. You obviously have not met her. She is all business with her employees and customers and actually a fun person to be around as well. I have never met someone who gets as much done as she does and her customers love working with her.

I just think everyone should form their own opinions.

I printed them to show my manager but she told me that there are few bitter people out there and no one can do anything about them. My manager said that everyone can tell that it is the same few over and over again, for Keystrokes and a few other companies as well. Time to move on Ms. Anon. I cannot think why a company would go through the trouble of getting IDs and getting you installed just to ignore you after that. Doesn't make sense, does it? Are you sure that't the whole truth? You keep saying truth but it sounds fishy.

They don't want the MTs to speak with SM
each other because they might share information on line rate, how easy/hard the accounts are and MOSTLY because they do have favorites who get flexible schedules, high line rate and cake accounts and they don't want groups of people emailing each other and discovering this.

I think you have it backwards. There has never been any mass exodus unless you consider 3-4 people a mass exodus. Actually, those 3-4 people might still be with the company if not for a certain someone who egged them on until they quit. This person herself stayed on for another couple of years trying to stir the pot with complaints about fabricated events. This person finally left a few months ago.

Crap happens, no matter where you are, who you are, or what you do.

Transcend is STILL a good place to work.

Too bad so many people don't have the wherewithall to actually work for a company longer than a few weeks before they come to false conclusions about a place and then quit.

I have been an MT now for 7-1/2 years and make 50K. Not sure of how many babysitters do that in 40 hours.

I have a great lead, who is very knowledgeable, kind and even funny at times - and she tries her best to keep things running smoothly, and pleasant. I don't know how the other leads are, but I would at least give them a chance. I've got no complaints.

I was a one of those MTs who made 3cpl.  If he denies that they pay newbies this amount...he is lying.  If he denies that you have to wait a month or more to be paid...he is lying...unless something has changed.

but as far as these posts go, I use the same initials all the time, so no, I haven't posted multiple times under different names, but I do know of several people who quit this place because of the owners nastiness, and lack of work. Even a QA person quit who was getting paid hourly, in one week she had a total of 6 hours work, nobody can live on that. I was there eight months and they kept promising me work, but it never came. It's landmark and made up of disgruntled ex-MQers.
Can't speak for all MTs but I have been
MTing for about 5 years and looking to get out of this field.  I do not want to be an old timer.  I have found out that hard work does not always pay off in this field.  I worked 7 days a week with this company because I was eager to learn the account, learn the dictators and bring up my line count.  When my lines got into the extra money range -- BOOM - here come dictators that were not around previously.  I'm sick and tired of the games MTSOs play and don't want to complain about the same thing 25 years from now.  The other thing is this - they are looking for people to work the holiday with no incentive.  As far as I'm concerned - let the owner of the company work.  I'm tired of their games.

Not everyone is smart enough to get out of a terrible work enviornment, and that is why they are still in business.

I have no interest in this company either, but I dislike board bullies who tell people what they should or should not post about.  Another pet peeve -- responders with check the archives reply.  We can post and respond to what we like -- we do not need people (besides moderators) patrolling these boards.  Think Dwight on The Office . . . . you are he!

I got fed up with everyone bashing me for making positive comments! I love my job at Keystrokes. I have been here since January and am very satisfied with my primary account and my direct deposit paychecks.

I have answered several posters requesting information about Keystrokes, but, frankly, I do not appreciate the negativity I was shown in response from some anonymous posters. Therefore, I chose not to respond to this post - but I guess I did, anyway!

but I use the cntr I feature where I work and what I see is what I get paid for, this already has headers and footers taken out, and I don't find anything amiss with it. I find it to be very fair and accurate. Guess every company has their own way of what they count and what they don't and is totally up to their discretion.

I was told that my doctors would be about 50:50.  That was 2 years ago.  I have since added several backup accts that have more ESLs than the original one; but I have yet to encounter one where I had that bad of a time with it.  Like the above poster said, you can pretty much figure out what they are saying by looking at samples; also, as someone else said, more than allowed # of blanks, give to QA.  I wish I knew what this acct was everybody is complaining about (I'm thinking it might be the one I do).  First initial of the place maybe?  Can we do that?

asked to go part-time.  I basically lost all my benefits when I went part-time though.  They worked with me for as long as they could, but we just came to an agreement and that is what I did.  I am not sure what others have done though, so I would go to your supervisor and tell her your concerns and see what you can work out with them, as they tried their best to work with me, so they should work with you.  Good luck.

Have to speak up here.
Amphion's accounts used various degrees of BOS and some none at all. In fact, there were accounts that required you to capitalize every drug, generic or name brand. They don't strictly follow the AAMT BOS, they follow their own rules, and many different ones at that.
That does not mean they do not speak clearly.

I've never even come close to running out of work. The platform is great, there's a fair amount of flexibility, and the people are absolutely wonderful. Webmedx was just named 2008 AHDI Employer of the Year -- and it didn't surprise me at all!

yourself.  There is every arrangement from nuts to diapers in this industry. People need to learn to speak their own experience what happenned, not conjecture.  In turn, let people speak their opinion and dont say they're so wrong.  I have worked in manyh responsible jobs in m life... in hospitals.  Nothing has come close to beating me up like this industry.  And I'm working on it!

I can't speak for TT...
But I have worked for Keystrokes, and I found management there to be extremely flaky.  I guess it depends on what exactly you are looking for.  The pay is okay.  They are pretty flexible with scheduling, but you will not get overtime there despite the fact that many leads there push for the MTs to work overtime on a regular basis.  I'm sure there are other MTs here who work for them and can give you additional opinions.

I get so tired of hearing the discouraging side of this job. I for one am very happy and do very well as being an MT. I make 11 cpl/60-character line, have excellent health insurance (110.00 a month for family), and the flexibility of working the hours I want to. I have worked for a hospital for 17 years, been home now for about 13 of those years. I am an employee and could go nowhere else and make 25 to 28.00 an hour like I'm currently doing. We all need to support each other. There are good jobs out there, but sometimes you have to look for them or make the best of the job you do have.

I would never post a rah-rah email on a board. Maybe others do, but it really kinda makes me sick to my stomach to think that they might.

I keep an eye on the boards, but I certainly don't run to management to report on State of the Boards. If they want to know, they can read it themselves!

and about 20 other people who left OSi a little while back and we are all doing great, couldn't be happier, all working for a great company with awesome people. To be quite honest with you....you are our entertainment!

If things were so good at OSi you wouldn't be on here trying to draw MTs in for them. OSi is over, face it punkin!
I would speak with a recruiter
The line rate could vary according to experience, office, account, etcetera. I only know what I was offered and would not want to steer anyone in the wrong direction. As I said before, it was about midline according to what most nationals are offering, but the great account I have plus the wonderful platform allow me to make more in the longrun with increased production. I have been with 3 other nationals and really feel I have found my "home" with Cymed.

Hasn't anyone noticed? This business is a sweat shop.... these MTSO have it made. They get cheap offshore workers and housewives and moms dying to work at home, busting their butts, turning their homes into sweatshops. Be loyal to WHOM? The company that treats you like crap and CUTS YOUR PAY and talks to you like you are an idiot? Oh yeah, RIGHT hahahaha you are nutso babes!

I did complain and received a tertiary account.  It did get a bit slow for a few weeks around the holidays, but everything seems full speed ahead now and I have more work that I can get done.  I never considered quitting.   MDI has been very good to me.  Sorry your experience was not the same.  :(

I already stated I do not work for JLG. You said you wasted 2 weeks on an interviewing process which you later recanted by stating you weren't applying for a job, so your credibility is shot to smithereens. If I were to place all my confidence in your vague, childlike claims based on your 2 weeks of interaction with the company, then I would classify myself as having a low IQ.

On the other hand, anyone here reading this (ugly word edited for the moderator's sake) thread can do a Google search based on the owner's name and find postings going back greater than a decade. They can then read those postings and use their higher level IQs to formulate an informed opinion/decision of the owner. Since I've had the benefit of reading the owner's posting for a decade, I have formed an opinion of her that blocks out your (ugly word left out for the moderator's benefit) brief, biased and vague claims of lying which you have yet to provide clear details of. With each post, it appears your IQ drops.
I can only speak to Medware--sm

Medware's line rate is acceptable to me because switching to an employee status with them meant we save about $500 a month on insurance costs and the plan I'm on is about the same and better in some areas than my previous health insurance. Plus, included in those costs are life and vision insurance I didn't have on the exorbitant health-only premiums we were paying.


This is just something to think about--it may not affect you at all.  Full time with Medware is 32 to 40 hours per week and 5000 lines.  If you fail to complete either of those in a two-week pay period, you risk losing your benefits and so far managment is not saying when you would be eligible to get them back. Since you are not eligible for PTO until after a year of service, if you have young children who might become ill or care for an elderly adult, or you or your spouse become ill--this could put your benefits in jeopardy.   Once you have PTO, it woud probably not be a concern unless it was an extended situation, which they say they will treat on an individual basis.


I've never encountered a policy like this before.  I believe it is new to Medware and they seem to be making it up as they go along.  To me, it is one more way of raping today's MT.

Speak for yourself. I tell the truth with my
applicants and I also play on the bad of the position so there are no surprises. Don't call ME a liar. I am out to hire a person because I know they are good, not to get a head in the door. You know not of what you speak and if you have dealt with a recruiter who does that, I am sorry, but not all of us are.

Some of us have ethics and would not treat you any differently than we would want to be treated and those who know ME know that and those who have dealt with ME know that. I also will not recruit for just any company. I have to believe in that company. I left a perfectly great paying job because I did not like the ethics of one company I recruited for and yes, there are some that want you to lie. I won't do it.

Anyone in this industry that knows ME knows that I will not do underhanded tactics to get someone in the door and they know my reputation. So please speak for yourself. When you say that, I know with certainty that I am not included in your words and to be honest, I don't believe you know what you are talking about.
