TSSC is really good. I've worked for other nationals and haven't been let down by them. nm

I've worked for many nationals i.e. Webmedx, MDI-FL, Transcend, etc. and
I like Medquist the best.
I've never worked for such a good company
I was contacted immediately after I tested. I wanted part-time work at night to try them out, so I worked 20 hours a week for them. After a month, I quit my other full-time job and went with them full-time. I've never seen such a fast platform. The benefits are incredible compared to other companies and the work is excellent. Good communication and accessability with co-workers and supervisors. Extra bonuses for what we had to do normally at other jobs. Direct deposit. company contributions to 401K. Earn vacation money from your first day on the job, and you don't lose it when/if you leave. I'm extremely happy with them.
Either would be a good choice. I've worked for both.
In the archives, both companies have good and bad comments.  You have to weigh one against the other and whether you think someone is just disgruntled or not.  Both are better than MQ or Sph.
I've tried many, many nationals. Amphion is the only one
that I truly like. I think if you go to their website or check the Job Seekers board, there will be a rundown of their available benefits. They've given me everything I have asked for. I never run out of work. They don't pound me with ESLs all day long either.
I think all the nationals ask permission; I've been
nm
I have worked for 6 nationals
one who could not keep enough MTs to carry the workload - forcing them to call EVERY SINGLE DAY I WAS OFF. I stopped answering the phone and found greener pastures where I may get called very occasionally but not EVERY off day.
I worked for 2 other nationals before Keystrokes..(sm)
I can tell a HUGE difference in the personal attention they pay to their employees. I felt like nothing but a number at the big nationals and I finally feel like I am actually a person at Keystrokes, one who counts. I also believe they will do everything in their power to keep it that way too.
Any information on TSSC--Bad or Good
Anyone know anything about this company??
I have worked for no fewer than 10 nationals and MTSOs.
Amphion is the best of my entire MT employment history. I quit other nationals because of inability to make line counts. They were always switching us around on different accounts, the phone lines were busy, ESL all day long, or they ran out of work. As for the small MTSOs, we all know it can be feast or famine with them.

The thing is that I can make my line count at Amphion. I've had a steady paycheck with them since I started there. It's for that reason that I will continue to share my positive experience with them. Granted, no company is everything to everyone, but I'm just sharing my positive experience. (As you and your friends are free to share their experiences, except you readily admitted to having never worked there so you don't actually know if they'd be a good fit for you or not.)
Amphion, MQ, most of the nationals. Good luck!
nm
I haven't left, but looking. I've been

offered at least a dozen positions, all the big nationals all the way down to small local companies and none thus far have offered me a better situation.   I haven't had one yet offer me more $$, a more flexible schedule, better dictators, or an easier format.  QT isn't as good as they used to be, but I still believe overall they are better than 99% of the companies out there.

I've been there for a while and haven't noticed
any changes at all.  Did I miss something?
I haven't worke dfor MQ, but from all I've
read about it Webmedx would be a better choice.  They do overhire though and while one account may have tons of work you may not have enough work to get all your lines in, even if you work 7 days/week.
how do u know if u haven't worked for them?
mq seems nice 2 on the surface.

just curious
Haven't worked for them but I'm pretty sure
I've seen postings about this company on this board before. Try doing an archive search.

If I remember correctly it's owned by a very nice lady but she's really a ditz so the company's very disorganized.

Double check the archives to make sure though.
I haven't worked there in awhile but sm
It was a definite trade-off. The pay was just not good at all. However, on the plus side, they were good to work with and they assigned accounts that weren't bad. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay at that $$ and had to move on. You will have to weigh how much $$ you need, but I was nowhere near 9 or 10 cpl with over 10 yrs experience.
I got one too and haven't worked for them for two years-thanks. lol nm
nm
Haven't worked for those places but....
I can recommend MDI-MD and Landmark. MDI-MD is IC only; Landmark has employee and/or IC.

I'm not sure if either is hiring but they're definitely worth a shot.

Hope you find something else soon :-)
I've been working weekends for 7 years and haven't heard of this.
dd
What the heck? I've never heard that in the 8 yrs I've worked here. sm
Go back to your STM or over his or her head.
Haven't worked for ExecuScribe but have been at TT for about two months now
TT is the best company I've worked for in my 18 years as an MT. See all the other postings below.

PS- I am not a plant or cheerleader. Just a happy employee.
If you have worked for us for two years and haven't gotten a raise or a bonus....
you need to contact Liz, as she states. We have many bonuses for weekends (when busy) and we also pay LD. If you are not getting long distance paid - speak to Liz. If you are a true employee, and not just getting on the bashing bandwagon, then Liz can help you.
Have worked for them 8 weeks, haven't received a check yet. -nm

I haven't worked there in close to a year now, but I was very happy while I was there. nm
:)
Sounds like me, I got it today and I haven't worked there since 2005
WEIRD!
Evidently things haven't changed since I left. Sounds like they've gotten worse - LOL

I find that those with experience with any nationals or many nationals
usually are invaluable if they have many years of experience.  The more nationals they have worked for, they have been exposed to many dictators and that is a plus!  I say send on the resumes if that is the case.  I also find that many hospital employees whether it be for 1 year or 10 or more usually are limited in style issues, but not a major disaster.
What good does it do? They've lied, they've betrayed us.

They've taken all they are going to take from me.   I am not going to waste any more time being angry.   I hate the way things ended, but I refuse to accept the blame for any part of it because I know that was a lie too, even though they did try to blame the MTs.  I know part of the problem was quality issues, but QA wasn't to blame for that either, although they have been.

It is time to pick up and move on.   I think mgmt will reap what they sow.   For those who worked on the main account Webmedx is still hiring, though the best time slots have already been taken.

Does anyone know anything (good or bad) about DTS America? Haven't been able to find anything at

I've heard only positive things about them. So, I applied, but haven't heard a word. Maybe fl
nm
I've worked for both.
I prefer MDI-FL of the two. It also depends on what you're looking for out of a company. MDI-FL was far more flexible with regard to account assignment, work schedule, and line commitment. You've read the archives. There are pros and cons to each employer. My personal opinion is that MDI-FL is the better of the two. I'd go back there if I hadn't found my current position. Medware, never.
I've never actually worked for her, but she's
a very nice person.
I've worked for them before....
Usually that happens when they are waiting for the account to actually start up.  Just send her an email asking her about the status of the account/your start date.
I've never worked anywhere but MQ

until recently, but if you like the DocQScribe platform, you might want to look into DSG.  I tested and interviewed with them and was offered a decent pay of 9 cpl.  I originally accepted a position with them but ended up turning them down b/c they wanted more of a schedule commitment from me than I wanted to give.  For the short while that I was on their communication roster, they seemed to have a lot of work available in DSG-II and they offered bonuses almost every weekend to work extra that were paid back to the first line that you typed for the day it was offered.

The people I spoke with there seemed pretty nice.  Like I said, I never actually worked for them, but had I not wanted the true IC status, I would have.  I really liked the idea of working on DQS, especially since I'm not familiar with any of the other platforms out there (until now).

Good luck in whatever you decide.  There are a lot of archives on here for Keystrokes if you check.  Don't really know anything about Transcend other than the constant jobs they post.  That would kind of make me wonder, but maybe they've hit a growth spurt.  If you do end up at DSG, please email me and let me know what they're like.  If things don't work out with my new job, I may try them again.  The recruiter was open to that idea.

I've never worked for them, but -
I'd call (or at least email the recruiter) and find out if there's a problem, or if they've simply forgotten. As I indicated, I've never worked for them, but if I were waiting to start a job, I'd be shaking somebody's tree to find out the reason for hold up.

Good luck :-)
I've worked there....sm
and would have to say ditto on the other posters comments. Very nice people, pay up front, good communication, and I had pretty productive accounts with them. The pay is indeed low, but if the productivity is good and you like the company, that may all even out for you.
I've never worked for them

but if I had not decided to stay retired that is where I would have gone because I know someone who works for them (I trained her myself).  She's been there a number of years and all-in-all says she is quite happy.  Her pay is way above average although I didn't ask her if she knew what the starting rate is now.  One thing I did ask her is whether they ran out of work and she said almost never.  AND she doesn't do VR.  I didn't ask whether they have VR or not.

As I said a few days ago, this is second hand information and I have no first hand knowledge.  Probably not much help but I would suggest at least talking with them.  You never know until you try it for yourself.

Good luck!

I've worked 4 jobs before. I know what its like..
when money was tight, I got another job. (I had full-time MT job, waitressed at restaurant, bartended at a lounge, and cleaned and oversaw my apartment building) Did all that to move out of my parent's basement. That's how I am. Money's not so tight anymore because of BF, so now I have TIME to spend with my kids and I CAN appreciate that TIME because when I worked in-house, I didn't HAVE it. K. Enuf said.
I've worked for MDI over a year now
x
I've heard of them but have never worked for them.
Originally, it was a mother/daughter team in Montana.  Evidently now, the daughter's in Wisconsin but they still have an office in Montana.  Nice enough people.  I worked with the son-in-law for a while at another job.  The workload is easy, but I don't know how steady it is.  I applied with them when I was a newbie but found a job elsewhere for more pay.
Yes, they were the rudest QA I've ever worked with. nm
x
I've not worked for them directly, but have been...
in contact with the upper management off an on for other matters. Very personable, level-headed, and presumably much SANER than some other company higher-ups that we've all discussed here!
I've worked for MDI-MD for several years and no,
my liason either.  But that's okay.
I've worked there for over a month...
...and I'm always out of work.  I have even asked for ESL accounts and was told It's slow all over.
This is wacky to me, too. I've worked there for 4 sm
years and paycheck has always been DD on time.  In fact, this time since Monday is a holiday it is in my checking account today.
Best company I've worked for. sm
The pay is a little low but it's worth it for good accounts and great management, not to mention the good benefits.
I've worked for both cos, and TT wins
hands down for me.

They are great to work with. The platform is great. You will not believe how wonderful and helpful QA people are compared to what some at the Q are getting now. The only time I've run out of work has been the occasional Monday for an hour or so, and some holidays were light on dictation. You'll have to work out your schedule with the recruiter, but they are very reasonable as long as they get the weekend coverage they need. I'm sure they will set you up as a split shift if you want. Not so sure about four 10-hour days, but you can always ask. They won't ever be ugly to you.
I'm with you - best place I've ever worked. sm
I can't believe anyone is running out of work within the company (except for this week of lower account volumes). Goes to show that there are at least two sides to every story!
Last 2 places I've worked I was off QA
after one day.
I've not worked on those accounts
x
I've worked for them not too long but so far
I think their work ethics and how they treat their employees far surpasses (in my eyes) my temporary lack of work. I've worked for too many nationals that treat me like pond scum, so I really like these people.
