Can anyone from the Ohio MQ office give me a contact person and a phone number to call so I can talk
to someone there without getting a lot of other people involved before I find out what kind of accounts they have to offer. I am interested in transferring from my current office but would like to speak with someone up there first. Even an email address of someone would help.

The main office was in Bolingbrook but they built an office in Yorkville last fall. SM
I think that the owners live in Yorkville, so it was built close to their house. Nice office, just pretty far out.
if you don't have a backup account, then
it may be they think you are limited in the scope of transcription you can do. I do a specialty clinic where I only get about the same number of lines (6-25), but I can do 300 lph with those, so 700 lpd would only take 2-1/2 hours at most.

Why don't you have a backup account to help you meet your line count?
Have you asked for backup account? I have
ALWAYS had work.  It is slower now, probably because of new hires, but we've been busting *ss for 4 months+ now and I'm enjoying a slack time.  I'm still getting my lines and often get extra. 
My backup account is on Chartscript SM
I love that platform, but the line counter is a little bit slow, and it doesn't always show the correct line count right away. I find that if I give it a couple of minutes and refresh the page, my line count will have caught up and be accurate. I think it's a great platform otherwise.
Does anyone work for the Buffalo office of MQ and how do you like it. Do you get one main to mostly
work on or how are things managed there.
Just because main office is in NY does not mean they are not owned by offshore. I don't know if

I lead a few accounts and have been training on a new one that starts in a few days. The phone number has not changed in 5 years and it should still forward from the old one. This site takes off phone numbers if we post them, so please email me.

Not only are they still in business, but still growing. I spoke with someone there today that said that they doubled in size last year and will this year too.

I am just excited about the new insurance!!!!!
Sadly, it is ALL the employees of this one particular account and we have no backup accts.
Apparently, the hospital obviously wants the work first to go to the employees and we get whatever is left, which is slim to none some days. Very frustrating.
Get ready to lose that backup account when there is no work on it....
They are doing more hiring and they always overhire...

I am sure they will help you if they can. Unfortunately, most systems require high speed to run properly.
My main account must have been an overflow account. We would
go several many days of the month where we could not pull work, so we all had to go to secondary accounts and there are very few accounts that could absorb the extra people.

I would call and talk to them. I know that they say 5 years for some positions
and 3 for others BUT I am sure that if you test, they will give you a shot. The worst that they can say is no. They gave me a shot 4 years ago with 8 months experience and I am still there!

Suggest you find a 2nd company for backup. The backup accounts
are dried up, too, and you can ask for work daily and still never get any.  Once u get stuck on an account you are there til u die unless u happen to be management's favorite.  u never hear about any new accounts opening up, new platforms,  Be prepared to read the intermet message boards to find out what is going on, that is how I found out they had Beyond Txt and ExText, or had any work available, (supposedly) since they keep advertising for help, but I still do not have enough work to keep busy.   Liz wrote this big long message on here a few weeks ago, but nothing changed, nothing happened.  It is same as always, hot air to try to calm people down.  the
You know, I understand about this backup business. I actually have started to refuse backup
accounts because I fully well realize that after you learn it which could take a decent amount of time depending on how difficult the account is that it will also disappear so I have made it a point to usually refuse secondary accounts and for sure beyond that.  I have just started to get a secondary JOB instead of secondary accounts because the name of the game is they are using you to run that account out and then on to the next one.  I dont play the game anymore.  If they dont like it, tough.  Let them find someone else.  Eventually MTs will just stop wanting to work there and they will get less and less qualified MTs as people move on.
I geta mostly my main account but (sm)
from what I can tell if some of my other accounts have reports close on TAT they pop up. I don't know if it is pooled that way or assigned by them. Ask your STM. She/he would probably have better information.

I'm sure if you call the office they would say why.

Why not call the office and ask them. THey have
been talking cheaper insurance for years. 
Why don't you just call the office and ask where
your piece of the pie is? I'm sure if you demand something you will get it!

we must be on the same account, the one out of Dallas. I love this account, as it is one of the best accounts I have ever typed on, but goodness you just never know when it is going to have work. I do have a backup account though, but do not really like it. Oh well. Hopefully next week this weather will pass through and things will pick up.
Did you talk to Lee about your account? She sent an e-mail (sm)
at the end of January asking every MT to e-mail her if they had any problems with their accounts or schedules.  I e-mailed her and it took a while but I finally heard back and I got my schedule changed to what I wanted.  The same holds true for not enough work on your account.  They even posted something here last week saying they weren't going to hire anyone until everyone who currently worked there was satisfied with their schedule and accounts. I would e-mail her directly and tell her. I know they just put a job posting on here yesterday I think, and that is for the account I work on as it gets really behind on the weekend.  Luckily I have a very high volume account and don't have to ask for more work.  But if I did need more work, I would not hesitate to e-mail my lead Transcriptionist or e-mail Lee directly and tell them about it.

great for the past 19 months since I did that.

there are other teams in the company that still do straight typing, and have lots of work now.
Leads with ANY company NEVER run out of work; that is why the MT's do, because leads pick and cho
for themselves!  TT has so many leads it makes me sick!  We have absolutely no work, but I know those leads and QA are picking out plenty of work that they like to do !!!  FACT !!!

I would send in your resume or call the office. Some accounts do not
use phone lines at all and are internet only. My account is an 800# but I am not sure if there are any openings on my account.

Wait to talk to the recruiter. If the account you are working on requires a C-phone, sm

they will loan you one if they have one available.  No sense in spending extra money if you do not have to do so.  :-)
