I don't think it was a typo, but still funny nonetheless.

I should have read the plan closer. Didn't know about the PTO restriction. Thanks.
Figures..
That's funny didn't know they had it in the paper
I was told they recently moved somebody from another dept within the company to fill that position. She is definitely entry level, completely different field. Just goes to show.....
FUNNY - BUT YOU DIDN'T CHECK

since I didn't pay into social security as an IC, I started a retirement plan to cover me.

I didn't particularly think it was poor taste - just not funny
nm
That is too funny - if I didn't think someday one of those reports might not be mine!

Maybe we should all band together and just shoot those VR reports straight through - JUST FOR ONE SHIFT - take our money and see what happens.  Guess we could find out if there is any QA in place and if the MTSO gets any feedback from the hospital.  It might be a lesson for the MTSO to learn.  I spend lots and lots of time - follow word by word - in my VR jobs but the pay just is not there doing VR that way.  I do see bad reports in my search of what other MTs turn in and it is really scary.  BUT - bet they make more than I do at the end of the day.  When will the hospitals and the MTSOs figure this out???? and pay us more for quality than quantity.

I'd be tickled to get
Kind of funny. I can't understand the strong northeast accents.
If you had a lot of the drafts like I get you'd be tickled....sm
many of them require minimal editing and I'm zipping along at lightning speed, making money for not typing.
I betcha they'd be tickled to death to get you.
Experience counts for a lot these days.
hardly. They cut the non MT positions to the bone today. I know I'm not the only one.

I've talked to 3 others who got let go.... trust me... there will be more.

Exactly! MTSOs need to get a back bone
You need to stand up to the hospitals and tell them that you will provide quality work at such and such a line. Do not settle for peanuts just to land the account. This is what has gotten us all (MTs and MTSOs) to the point we are today.

Stop selling out to the highest bidder. State that your work is worthy of 15 cents a line (or whatever you charge) and then PROVE it! Make sure the quality is there and that they are getting what they pay for.

If quality sucks and the Indians will do it for 5 cents a line, then they'll just keep going for the cheapest services, not the best.

The key is to bring American quality back to this business. Show them that yeah, the Indians will do it cheaper, but do you trust their quality? and if you have to have MTs or QA to clean up their work, how much money are you really making all the while spreading your bad quality products?

Demand quality work and demand to be paid a fair sum for it.
C'mon on, we're hungry, give us more than a bone
nm
Sometimes you get spelling and abbrvns over the phone, typing later on. Bone up on your harder

Don't worry just find out and then have a plan A and plan B
I have gone through something like this but not with that company. I too am the insurance provider for my family and there are preexisting conditions, so a private policy is no good.
First of all, I work elsewhere but had the same situation. I fell short of line count, but not because of me, because they did not have enough work, and I like many others cannot make quota because of the way they count lines. Then, on last paycheck there was a negative on insurance money taken out of check. I thought I lost insurance, but found out at the end of the year, they did an audit and found out that I overpaid all year and so I actually was owed money that check.
In the meantime, I found another job but have to wait 90 days for insurance. Can't find a policy to bridge the 2 jobs, insurance is on my mind all the time. My heart is with you. Personally I am getting the 90 day meds, working on my second job which will become my real job and if I lose the insurance, Cobra will kick in in case of disaster so that is like major medical.
Sorry such a long post, but I suggest: Not to panic. You probably did not lose insurance. Call the benefit provider to see you are still covered, not the employer. If you are not still covered, get 90 days of Rx if your plan covers by mail and be billed, immediately get another job which is a better place to work anyway (I found one) and in 90 days you will be okay. Some places like Disriter cover the first of the following month, but I would not necessarily suggest you work somewhere which is not so great just for insurance. You can consider TransTech. That would be my suggestion. Sorry for such a long post. But this hit a nerve and I wanted you to understand some options, as I have gone through it. Good Luck.
Sorry for the typo there
I meant to say to you mean offshore.
typo
Mr. Ormond earned $17 million not $71 million
yes, MDI-MD - sorry, that was a typo

Sorry - big typo
It was 50 minutes -- I was thinking 50 min of dictation equals about 500 lines.
that's bad, not bac. sorry for the typo
it is early here, need coffee.
Sorry typo
E-Transcription
Now that would be a typo, rather than what
she correctly pointed out as grammatical error :)
that would be instead... not the typo... see I
and can't even transcribe a post... uggg, I don't know why I even come here, I get so frazzled. Sorry for the instead typo.
I believe it's a typo
There is a transcription company in that area called SureScribe, and my assumption was that when it was entered on the other board, it just didn't get entered in correctly. As to the way the phone number is written, it looks like they're all kind of different ways on there, so I'm thinking it's more an issue of formatting...we kind of get spoiled and assume that the site will format things properly for us, but in this case it didn't happen.

I don't sense anything nefarious at play here. Just a smallish transcription company (as opposed to the multinational types), which means it is probably the kind of place where a good MT could go and be appreciated. If it weren't for that once a month pay thing, I'd be tossing my hat into the ring. I do much better as a big fish in a little pond than the other way around!
Sorry for the typo...
I really don't have my mind today!
oops - typo......should/ve said....sm
sorry, I made a typo - should've been can/could see many posters........
Please excuse the typo - buy for by! (duh on me)

typo in resume
Was it your job to weed out misspelling ;-) too funny! One would think that you would have PROOFED your own post!
Ok - so I had a typo. I am human ya know.
.
I am assuming the 0.075 is a typo?
x
Ooops TYPO

I better correct my statement before I raked over the coals for a typo by the grammar police.  The platform is great and exceed the line count every pay period.

It should read The platform is great and I exceed the line count every pay period.

I guess I better get this first cup of coffee down quick!!!

typo---meant do, not so.
Thanks!

No spelling police normally on this board, but when you are offering your services, free or otherwise, you should proof your copy for spelling/punctuation errors.
