That's not what I'm saying.

What I'm saying is that there are already enough pressures on MTs as it is without fellow MTs calling for the termination of other MTs without hearing the whole story.

Within the last 4 years I have left 3 different companies because of the way they treated MTs.  The first one paid 9 cpl for an extremely difficult account that not only had 70% ESLs, but also required 100% QA.  I didn't leave the company because of the difficulty of the account, I left the company because they expected the MTs to email the team leader when there wasn't a physician found in the company database, with the name and address of any physician that had to be cc'd (which WE had to look up the address), with any blanks on a stat report, or with the special requests of several physicians who felt they were special and needed special treatment above and beyond the duties of the MT.  We were not paid for ANY of these emails and sometimes they amounted to 15 to 20 emails a day.  The second and third companies I left had such extreme TAT that they overhired to the degree that there were 35 MTs working an account that provided, at most, 60 reports a day.

The point that I was trying to make is that the MTSOs are taking advantage of the MTs to a degree that is unprecidented because they can get away with it.  The MTs are so hungry for work and the MTSOs know this.  This last insult of docking pay for not meeting minute requirements is just another example of this.  I do not in any way feel that MTs should jeopardize the quality of their work at the patient's expense, but I also feel just as strongly that MTs should stick together and not call for the termination of fellow employees when an additional stressor is added to the mix.  This off-with-their-heads attitude is exactly why we *can't* band together as MTs.
