MedScribe's. That is really strange.
Google has them listed as a dangerous website.

I found a temporary homepage at another link when I Googled, but that's as far as I could get without the Google page to beware if you continue.

You never know what will change next.  Changes one day, and changes back the next...no wonder so many mistakes.  Ask your coordinator, they don't know either.  Impossible to keep up with it all.  Have another job offer, planning on taking it!

Better read the IRS specs first. There are strict....sm
instructions on whether to call a worker an IC or an employee. An employer can be in big trouble for mandating any specifications of a job if he/she is calling a worker an IC. They are starting to crack down on that, too, especially with companies who have several workers. It's about time, in my opinion, that places get in trouble! If you don't put up with it, it will stop happening.

Am I asking for the moon, are there any companies that have accounts with account specifics that are easily memorized and followed?  I recently signed up with a respectable, well-liked service, but the acct. specs. are a nightmare.  In the past, I've worked with accounts that were pretty straightforward as far as specs.  Guess I shouldn't have switched companies.

where these people are coming from. We have not been slow at all. I always get paid on time, and people answer my e-mails. If the people that are negative have valid complaints, I think they should talk to their team leader or a manager at MDI. I have never, ever had a problem with communication.
An acquaintance told me acct specs and reams of paperwork were ridiculous.

You should check out the Nuance website and the Focus website
Nuance is Dictaphone and since a lot of use Dictaphone equipment, you can say we all have something to do with this. If you are surprised at the website above, look at the US website of nuance. Just IMHO and try to get both sides of the corporation.
Compensation not listed

Has anyone else ever emailed a company when they do not list their rate of compensation only to be ignored?  This really irks me.  Why can't they just list what they are offering so we don't have to waste our time?  This really annoys me.

They were there when I was working with YOG until Medquist ruined it all. They left because of all the garbage going on. I was hoping they could get things going strong with FutureNet.

I was black listed because I refused a job with TRS
Then, I was told they called the other company I as going back to and I would not be allowed to go back there either. Lucky for me, I had 2 jobs already.

This is unbelievable and sad for those who feel there is no choice out there.  As long as these are accepted they will continue to be offered.  Emails to the company saying -

- 5-7 cents a line huh, what do you suppose this comes out as an hourly rate  Shame on you this is slave labor.

means anything. The name Medical Records Corp was also connected to a company that was bought by MQ in the early days. That was a very good company. I can't find a website for this MRC out of MD, but I would be interested to hear anything you learn.

and tell me on average how many lines you can do in an hour? I know there are a lot of variables to consider but it would give me some idea of what I might expect too. I have 28 years experience and consider myself quite good, but I know sometimes the software, demographics, etc. can slow you down. Also, is there a lot of work on the accounts? I like to do about 2000 lines a day. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

On a jobs board. It is listed as a supervisor.
Many usually ask how to get into companies as a recruiter. This is one chance I guess but you do have to have experience according to the ad if I recall in MT and QA.
When I hired on they stated the account was listed as 30-35% ESL (sm)
but they thought the percentage might be a litte higher. I have had quite a few ESL, probably closer to 45-50%, but only one was what I considered really horrible and when I went back, QA had left some blanks too, so I didn't feel too bad.

Have been doing this for 20+ years and I still say I would rather have an ESL anyday compared to a mushmouthed speed demon.

So far everything about them and the account I am on has held true to what they said. Very nice people, good sound quality and the program is easy to work on.


AND.. number they listed comes up as residential, isn't this a business??

What?! Do you have your number listed in the phone book?
This is the same info they can get out of the phone book, i.e., name, address, and phone number. This is not what they use to commit identify theft. They would use the general information from your resume to phish for more detailed information, such as SS# or bank account/cc account info. This is also what they would get out of your trash if for some reason you don't shred this info before you throw it out. Also, with past employers, they are only allowed to give basic info, such as length of employment and whether you're eligible for rehire. They can be held legally responsible if they give out detailed information about you!

I am very realistic that I'm not immune to identify theft, but also I know the law and know that I shouldn't be paranoid about someone stealing my identity. I take the appropriate steps to protect myself and monitor my credit report frequently.

Any info would be appreciated about these companies. Incentive pay/medical premiums, good accounts, Word-based platforms? 


What about Transolutions, Med-Scribe, MedWare, Northeast Transcription, E-MTS, JLG.  I know there is a lot here but I am tired of bouncing around this past year.  Want to find a place to make a decent living and stay put!!  Need good bennies, decent platform, decent account, and plenty of work.  I know, I know that is what we all want isn't it?

Most of the weekend workers you listed make more than some
of the MTs on the board, so are they not getting better pay than the MT? Certainly, the baby-delivering doctor, the cops, the tip-receiving club works, blah, blah, blah.

OK, here's the deal. If they really had clients in all those cities listed, there would be SOMET
on Google and there is nothing. Janelle Axelrod? Never heard of her and there are few people that I haven't at least heard of in this business. Same office building as Transcend? Not likely. That is in the high rent district in Buckhead and a fairly new transcription company who nobody has ever heard of cannot afford that kind of rent. Something is really wrong with this picture.

Obviously, they made some changes when they moved. Maybe they had an unscrupulous person working there before?? I do not know, but i have ALWAYS gotten paid! I certainly would not have stayed for 1.5 years if the scenario was any different.

Sure I got the email, I stand corrected. Three titled employees are listed & there is one more
that simply has not been announced yet. I will say again, could be nothing at all, could just be a change of guard. Didn't say whatever was going on was good or bad, but wondered what is going on. I will be the first to say change is often a very, very good thing and I am hoping for good!
