training and QA are just as bad.  I couldn't get out of there quick enough.

Horrible platform. Horrible communication.
Horrible people who say one thing and then when you do what they say, they get mad and act ugly.

Enough of a bone?
Horrible accounts - platform sux! nm

absolutely horrible platform
It was nuts and you spent 1/4th of the time looking up cc's for three counties, 100s and 100s of docs! I Went back to acute care. No thanks!
I'd say TransTech; Transcend's platform is horrible. nm

Vent - how do you deal with a horrible platform!
This platform is so slow that my Expander sometimes doesn't even expand things because the system is so slow. You go to back up or move forward with the cursor and its so slow you end up going to far usually. Spell check, OMG, you could go to sleep waiting to advance. It takes FOREVER to type a document.

I don't understand why companies use these horrible platforms. Makes you dread sitting down to the computer!
Technical issues with the platform were horrible
It was slow a few times, never completely out, but I could never make any lines because of the technical issues with the platform.
Great platform, horrible company

I feel your pain. The platform is horrible. nm

I'm going to agree with the other posters. Platform is horrible and not productive.
I worked for hours and made $9...no thank you. I would do at least a whole page and be lucky to get 30 lines. I think it's a ripoff. Either the platform line counting is just off or more likely it is the way they set it up, but you'd have to be totally naive and never had worked anywhere else to know that the line counts are set up to rip you off. As with most of these companies, they all are constantly advertising like they have a ton of work when there is none. I suspect they turnover is high so they just keep the ads running, but the reason for the turnover other than making no money on line counts is lack of work. They just don't get it. I didn't last there long, as best I can neither, most don't.
Same experience...awesome to work for, horrible platform..sm
I've been an MT for close to 20 years and am most productive on ER accounts where I can create my own templates and Expanders out the ying yang. After 2 months and the worst line counts of my entire career, I had to move on. I do want to point out that PM does have some of the nicest, most helpful staff I've ever worked for! The platform is the ONLY reason I left.
Transhealth is very organized, great benefits..horrible platform
Maybe it was just me but i never made it through training. It certainly could have been a lot easier than having to open up 3-4 programs to get going. I found it to be time-consuming and in a production-based atmosphere, this did not cut it. On the other hand, maybe others think the program is wonderful, but I sure did not. I have used Dictaphone EXText and that is way easier.
Transtech does have voice recognition. Horrible platform for editing.
Dictaphone Exspeech is the very worst VR platform I have ever worked on.  Yes, the MT line rate is much reduced for it, too.
If you have horrible platform, do not get paid for headers, footers, template data, etc.,
even though it might take 3 or 4 minutes or longer to edit that stuff, you are going to take a big pay cut.  This program was designed by idiots.
The platform they use is horrible and slows you down with regards to meeting daily line count. Also,
QA can be bitchy, however, if you know your stuff and nip that bitchiness in the bud early on, they don't bother you later...except for one.  She's rude and vague in her f/u comments, so there is really no way around that one except not to take it personal.
Horrible, horrible, horrible place. Unlike the other poster
I actually worked there.   Sound quality is horrendous.  The account I had was the worst ESL I've ever had and I do 85% ESL so I have no problems doing ESL.   Frequent management turnover.   When I was doing QA the work was so bad that I pretty much had to redo every report.  I hear about how well they pay, but they don't pay that well and certainly not enough to compensate for all the other stuff.
The only time I tried to apply at Diskriter I had to take a transcription test and it was horrible.
The sound quality was so bad that I just could not take the test. Even though I have 14 years of experience in acute care, they would not hire me because I could not do the transcription test. I would have been happy with just a written, or even a transcription test with better sound quality. I wonder how many people were put off by that. Maybe it was just me.
Worked there 2 years ago..horrible, horrible, horrible.
Would totally avoid them at all costs.
SoftScript is the worst - horrible accounts, horrible management, don't go there! nm
nm
horrible, horrible contact person! Worst experience ever. SM
Turned it down because of the arrogance and attitude.

That was not long ago. Ads run every 2 - 3 months.
Horrible accounts, horrible sound quality, etc
The only time SoftScript would not be wonderful is if you aren't doing your job. They are an extremely professional company. Sounds like someone may not have lived up to their standards.
Horrible, horrible place. Lots in the archives.

Rx Transcription....TX......anyone know what platform they use?
Anything would be great; platform, pay, etc.  Thanks!!!
US Transcription platform
Does anyone work here and if so are you happy? What about this Patriot platform? Is it word-based? I am confused about their info as well like the template 3 cent thing and unpaid time off. Holidays too, very confusing and I am no dunce cap. They want to hire me but I am so tired of let downs as most of us MTs are nowadays. Thanks...

Zylomed Transcription Platform
Trying to determine if info I received on this is correct--can MT working for Zylomed use own MS Word that includes expanders, abbreviations, etc., without having to transcribe into their proprietary software called MT World, as I understand it is called.  The fact that they supply a different foot pedal instead of ability to use standard wav pedal raises questions.  Need to know how this works before making decision to hire on with them.  Thanks for any info.
ExText is a transcription platform
it is Dictaphone ExText. It's a great Word based platform that some companies use for their transcription. Very easy to learn and use!
InfraWare transcription platform?

Has anybody worked on this platform?

TIA!

T-C Transcription in Florida - platform?
Does anyone know what the platform is that T-C transcription is using now? If you don't know the name of it, is it easy and quick to use to get you into MS Word quickly?
Does anyone know which platform Aero Transcription Inc. uses?

Mucho gracias!

ASP is their own platform they use for straight transcription.

Horrible company, horrible dictators, ESL
at its absolute worst, sound quality horrible.  The MTs I did QA for were horrendous.  They made up words, obviously didn't use a spellchecker, couldn't get the hang of something as simple as copying and pasting Preop diagnoses to postop diagnoses and would type same again and again.  QA manager would send out updates for new drugs, equipment and have things misspelled, frequently got e-mails that evidently were sent because someone wanted to feel important, absolutely no useful information, management problems, lots and lots of turnover, including management.    The CEO has no clue about transcription and is in it for the money.  After talking with him you feel like you need a shower.
Transcription relief services? What platform do they use?
I understand it is word-based - is this correct? Would like to email someone who works for them. Thank you
Need platform info on CCS Transcription (Florida)
TIA
Trying to find company(ies) using the BayScribe transcription platform?

Northeast Transcription, any info? Platform? Work flow? Anything?
x
JLG Transcription - Can anyone tell me about them? Pay,weekends, nice staff, decent platform? You
can email me because I want the God to honest truth!  Thanks :)
Is Dolbey STAT Transcription Platform user friendly?

RISS is not a platform. RIS stands for Radiology Information System. The platform sm
would be EXText.
MDI-MD platform is fast, not full of problems like Transcend platform or MDI-FL

On Transcend platform you have to click, click, click all day and still get errors, change screens constantly -  its a nightmare to work in.

Yes, SPi does use this platform....it's a great platform, but not worth working for SPi. nm

Bad Platform. I personally know of 3 MTs who left because of the platform.
If you are like me, the bottom line is wages and what I get in my check. I have never worked for Amphion, but I personally know of 3 MTs who worked part-time at Amphion before quitting their other service to see what Amphion had to offer before it was too late. All 3 quit Amphion and stayed with their other service because of the Amphion platform. Too hard to make any decent lines.

Something to think about.

Here is one post from a couple days back:

Posted By: Amphion on 2005-12-02

To all of us trying our hardest to grab our work when it is available, and then still only make 24 bucks a day because of the garbage platform.

I can't believe how horrible this all is.
I never thought it was decent of MQ to prevent you from seeing your line count after each and every chart like all other programs and companies I've worked for. I guess this explains it! - it really makes me sick at heart to think they are that criminal, that they are deliberately cheating us. All those cheery notes from our supervisors - thanks a lot guys for helping the company pick our pockets and lower the standards for the entire industry. Before you know it every national will be doing the same thing and we will never be paid fairly by any of them! Whatever happened to fair labor practices anyway? Are all big businesses staffed with nothing but unpricipled dirty greedy backstabbing cheats?

Sorry for going off but man, thinking of all I've sacrificed over the years and the extra above-the-norm effort I've put in to keep my line counts high and accounts within TAT - and for what? To find this out is like a real sock in the kisser.

QA is horrible
They WILL nitpick you to death. I have over 20 years experience and got an 88 on my QA and it was COMMAS....some places they took them out, some they put in. There is ONE person who has final QA say and even the team leader I had would warn about how ridiculous it is. The QA varies from account to account as well. They say they go by AAMT but they don't. The old DOS platform sucks big time. You get 40 pounds of books to look through with hundreds of pages of doctors to go through. If you take the time to find something in the manual, you lose lines and you lose money. If you don't take the time to look and put a blank, they take of a percentage for that. There isn't even a way to look for a doctor when you are in the text typing!! The spellcheck leaves a lot to be desired.

Expect to be given 3 accounts at once and have to switch back and forth frequently between them and of course memorize all the QA differences between them. You will find that the QA booklet they give has gross errors in it, and even if you document the errors, such as a medication spelling, they say they "do it their way." Expect loads of ESLs and of course you get dinged for blanks for those as well, no matter how difficult the dictator is. I have never ever seen a company work so hard at taking money from you like they do. They swear they pay hourly...well good luck. Out of 8 people I knew from training, 7 quit.
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible
accounts, support, managment etc.
Horrible pay!!
They offered me 6 cpl for acute care and 7 cpl for clinic work!! Of course, I refused.
They were horrible, not there. S/l I'm as bad as they are.

horrible horrible
honestly, it was one of the most awful experiences of my career. Details aren't even needed .. just stay away. Mean supervisors, stupid old DOS and dial up work. Backstabbing and that's just the beginning. DON'T DO IT .. there are better companies out there.
Horrible ESL
So if you don't LOVE ESL, you might want to rethink. The company itself was a great one but the accounts were horrid.
a bit low?........that's horrible pay!
nm
horrible
horrible horrible horrible!!!  Stay far far away!!!  Nasty management attitude!
That's horrible....
Wow...I was offered a job there a few months back, but I ended up turning them down for another company. Looks like I made the right decision! I also live about 2 hours away from where my family gets together every Thanksgiving, so there is no way I would work there if they are that inflexible with major holidays! That's awful!
They are right! it is HORRIBLE!
Even before I left last winter, the platform was having a lot of technical problems. I was constantly having the platform come up with random errors, freeze up, and it wouldn't save my report like it was supposed to. One time I lost a 5 page psych evaluation report and had to start from scratch. When I called tech support, they didn't give me the time of day and just said, Oh well, guess you'll just have to start over. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy! You will have zero job security! I'm glad I decided to get out when I did!
