Anything you transcribe in a header/footer is paid.

Yes to spaces, no to header and footer. Their rates are about
average, not the best and not the worst. Decent benefits package.
OSI reduced header/footer size but still keeps

Is 8 cpl on 65 char with spaces, header, footer good rate for IC work?
Want to accept position. Wondering if that's a good rate today. THank you
Bold
Very welcome! I don't think I mentioned it, but you have to put that code before and after the text that you need bolded. Good luck!
How do you bold in ShortHand? nm

THIS IS HOW YOU BOLD IN SHORTHAND
{@KEY ctrl+b}?{@KEY ctrl+b}

Copy this, put it in the text, where the ? mark is add what you want, like {@KEY ctrl+b}CHIEF COMPLAINT{@KEY ctrl+b} I put ccbx (the bx is to determine it is bold)to differentiage it from any other description so all bold descriptions will all have bx at the end. Hope this helps
bold command for meditech
Here is the code I use to bring the bold format over when I copy and paste from Word. It saves a lot of time not having to format in Meditech..hope this helps! {@KEY Shift+F1} Has to be used exactly like that!
I have been an MT for 10 yrs & cannot get 7cpl?
I have been taking tests for all kinds of companies for 7 cpl and breezing through those tests too.  They still are not offering me jobs with my 10 years of experience as an MT.  Explain that!    I have a family to feed and I will take 7 cpl over 0 cpl right now!!!!
I think she means don't bold it until you've typed
after a space.  Then once you've transcribed past the header, go back and bold it.  Meditech is blah!!  You'll get used to it, but it's not transcription friendly for sure.
Why was the post about the 7cpl with
extensive cardiology experience post removed?
They only pay 7cpl with no raises

Where are the good paying clinic MT jobs anyway?  Its hard to make anything at 7cpl

header?
What kind of header is it?  Do you at least get paid for what you type in the header?
Is 7cpl text/3.5 cpl VR for someone with 13 years exp. a good amt. sm

or is it low?  I've recently had to start looking for a new job and am trying to figure out what a good cpl rate is for someone with my experience:  13 years of mostly acute care work.  It seems kind of low to me but maybe not.  I've been an IC for the last five years or so, but kind of wanted to get away from it for a while as I can never seem to be discplined enough for my taxes.  The 7 cpl text and 3.5 cpl VR is employee status, the only benefit right now would be PTO with insurance in a few months possibly.  I worked at my last company forever and only made 8.5 cpl as an IC, so all of this is kind of new to me.

Thanks!

I'll keep that in mind when I'm offered 7cpl.

I was offered less than 7cpl this year with 10+ yrs experience.

maybe taking off for header? just a thought not sure how they do it-nm
nm
perhaps these lower 7cpl jobs feel you are overqualified. These (sm)
are usually newbie positions.
