CPHONE AND EXERCISE
Never Mind, I turned the connection upside down and it worked. Thanks, All Have a Great Saturday.  I just got out of the hospital for five days HIGH BP STROKE, MIGRAINE, DUE TO YOU GUESSED IT- TYPING ALL THE TIME, AND NO EXERCISE. Did 30 minutes of power walking already. Not ready to go to the grave yet. I challenge everyone to do at least 30 minutes of some form of exercise a day.
Cphone is Dictaphone
C phone is actually a Dictaphone. Looks like a telephone and you dial into the hospital clinic for dictation. Has a foot pedal and headset. Technology has been around forever and is still used by a lot of places. You can find them on ebay for about $100-200.
Cphone is fine
Actually Cphone works fine for me. No waiting for files to pull up and sound quality depends on where you live and type of phone service. I've used it for years and years and have no problems with it.
Any RAD MT at MDI-MD using Meditech and Cphone?
I use a c-phone on current hospital account - no problems with it and make good money using it.  I have never used Meditech platform and would love to hear from any MDI-MD rad MT who has used this combination (Meditech with Cphone)  on the pros and cons.  They offered me a good per report rate so I am considering employment. Thanks.
they supply the cphone, but...sm
the accounts they have with C-phones are really AWFUL!
You need your own Cphone and LD plan for Execuscribe. Don't know anything else. nm

do they still have the cphone accounts mixed in
with internet accounts? Thank you.
my first year I made 16k. Doubled that second year. Going on year 6 with (sm)

two local accounts I earned 23,000.00 and a national I earned 35,400... 58,400 this year.  Don't ask me how many hours, though, I really have no idea.  I'm pretty motivated.  (When people ask me how many hours I work a week I reply as many as it takes  I'd say 40-50/week.  I am also a fitness instructer and personal trainer, about 5 hours a week or so.  Decent money (sometimes under the table!) but mostly I just do it for fun and to be social and wear cute work-out clothes.

that first year was a rough one... but I consider it part of my education.

I'm pretty motivated.

Do you need a second line or Cphone to work for QT? Do they have clinic? nm

Last year, there was a letter sent that told us what we earned the previous year. sm
In the past, it has been all or nothing; if you did not hit the lines for full time for the year, you did not get PTO. I talked to my lead this morning about a last-minute vacation and she told me that the yearly packets are going out in a week or so and that the new policy will acrue PTO by the pay period or month. I like that a lot better, but she also made it sound like they are upping the amount of lines needed to acrue PTO. I normally get between 15 and 20,000 lines per pay period, so I am sure that will be fine but I am worried about the periods that have lower volumes, like most of January every year.
Webmedx lets you carry them from year to year sm
You can accrue up to 140 hours (I think) before you stop the accrual process. Don't have to use it all in one year.
I would stick it out, most places are slow now through the end of the year every year (nm)
x
Also do they have IC positions?
tia too
Both positions are for...
large teaching facilities with many different types of reports.  The test reports I did included a chest x-ray, mammogram, MRI, CAT scan, and a few interventional procedures.  So I'm thinking maybe the gross line method would be best?
Positions..
Would anyone know where to find MT management-type job openings on the internet? Have been searching with no luck. TIA!
IC positions
Can anyone tell me which companies still hire ICs.  TIA!
Is there an ad for MT positions somewhere? sm
I don't see an ad here. Please let me know.
No, they are actually 2 different positions
You are the 24-hour PT fixed schedule.

For MTs who want to work 20 hours and under, they work when they are needed or something like that. It's in the other posts.

good luck with MQ
IC positions
Does anyone know of any IC jobs that allow you to work the hours you want, with just a weekly line requirement?
MDI positions
Keep checking back with them on your resume, and if nothing pans out try again in a few months. I imagine they have been flooded with resumes this week from MQers. They are usually pretty good about not overhiring and keeping the accounts staffed adequately so it all stays in TAT but people have enough work.
PT Positions
Hi - I currently work part-time for a company that is consistently running out of work (a bunch of you can probably guess which one). I am looking for somewhere where I can put in about 10 hours weekly to supplement. Can anyone recommend anywhere that would hire for such limited hours? I do not want to leave my current company just yet - only been there a year.....but do want something permanent and steady.
QA positions
This is possibly a stupid question but how do you get a job in QA?  I have been a medical Transcriptionist for over 24 years and would love to do some QA work.  Can anyone give me some insight into this?  THANKS!
