Serving Over 20,000 US Medical Transcriptionists

Think about this

In India the MTs get a relative value of pay that is much, much higher than in the US. Why do you think doctors over there are transcribing? We have ruined their economic structure with our interference. If they are paid 5 cpl to type, that would be like someone in the US getting 15 cpl to type. They can afford to slow down and look up everything. But they are not paying $4.00 for a gallon of gas, $2.50 for a dozen eggs, $4.+ for a gallon of milk. And they are also NOT paying any taxes in the US to help support our welfare class which also includes some of the Indians that have moved here. They do not pay $80.00 for a doctor visit.

I work 4 days a month just to pay for my insurance. I work another 12 days to pay for my rent and utilities. After that I worry about feeding my family, putting some clothes (and not many!) on their backs, etc.

Sorry, you can say all you want about the Indian workers, but I say this practice of outsourcing needs to be stopped immediately. I have absolutely no sympathy or empathy for any of them and just think it is very unfortunate that we have had to have our tax dollars spent to educate the pigs.
