TransHealth, Transsolutions, DSG, Webmedx, Spheris

Can anyone give me current information on working as a QA for TransHealth, Transsolutions, DSG, Webmedx, and Spheris?  Do they pay hourly? How do they test? Employee or IC positions? Workflow? Do they require 100% listen on all reports or are some fill in the blanks?

Are there any companies you would recommend for a QA position and can you please provide above-requested info?

Thank you all for your help and kindness in providing any information possible.

MDI versus MedScribe versus SoftScript versus Transsolutions versus TransHealth. SM

I'm getting ready to start applying and these are the companies that I'm looking at.  So give me the low-down.  Good, bad, India?

Here are my criteria:

9 cpl or better

Does NOT send work to India

Good accounts with at least 50/50 of ESL versus American dictators

Consistent work flow - no downtime or time spent waiting for work

Upper management should be professional, positive, and encouraging.

Pay for lines WITH spaces.

Is there such a job out there or am I just dreaming?  If there are other companies other than the ones I listed that would fit the bill, please feel free to let me know. I tested with TransHealth and I felt like I tanked.  It was a hard test and I had to use the mouse to stop and start the dictation as it was online test and you couldn't download the voice files.  So that made it a lot more difficult.  One of the dictators was cutting himself off through the report and I had to leave some blanks.  I'm very frustrated with this whole process of looking and testing.  Are all the tests like that?  Or are there companies that allow you download the test files and transcribe them using your pedal and software?  Ugh!  I am just so frustrated and discouraged.

Thanks for any helpf.

Webmedx ad apply at Webmedx or Transhealth ? (sm)
Apply to one address if you need equipment, another if you want to use your own?  Does this mean they are still acting as 2 separate companies?   Can anyone explain this?
Webmedx/Transhealth
Are these 2 companies now merged? Anybody know if they pay QA hourly and if so how much? Is this a good company to work for in QA. Any helpful info is much appreciated.
Webmedx and Transhealth

I have seen a few ads for WebMedX that say:

For candidates who desire company-provided equipment, please fill out our online application at www.webmedx.com  AND For candidates who wish to use their own equipment, please apply online at www.transhealth.com.

I'm confused....does that mean they are the same company?  So you can work as an IC for WMX, but you can only work as SE for Transhealth....Right?

TIA

Also want feedback on TransHealth and WEBMEDX
They both sound like great companies...I'm trying to decide between TransHealth and Webmedx.....both have great websites and I don't think I've seen anything negative about either one of them in the archives. I just don't want to jump out of the MQ frying pan into a bigger fire!
Webmedx or Transhealth? In respect to SM

bennies, pay, # of ESLs, flexibility, etc.

Would love to know your personal experience as I'm seriously considering both.

TIA

Webmedx buys Transhealth.

We received an e-mail today stating this.

Unhappy QA at Webmedx -- Transhealth questions

I'm yet another unhappy CQI/QA member at Webmedx and have to say a big THANK YOU to anyone who has ever spoken up about their negative experiences at Webmedx (though I understand anybody who's too afraid to speak publicly, which seems to be the majority of the QA department!). I realize that it takes much more courage to speak up than kiss up or stay quiet, so I always appreciate anybody who comes to these boards and posts.   And anybody who's been in this industry any amount of time knows that the adage all mention of the company is good advertising doesn't apply to this field.  Things have definitely taken a turn for the worst with the QA portion of the company, IMO.

I have questions about Transhealth, which has been recommended as an alternative to doing QA at Webmedx.   I'd like to know what the upper management of TransHealth is like.  Is the person who manages the QA department someone with a background in MT, or is it someone who is a data puncher but doesn't even do that well?   Do they express support for QA, or do they seek to squelch communication online and in the department through intimidation because they're afraid of criticism and fallout of their decisions?  Do they have several people at the top who handle different departments, or do they have one person in several roles, perhaps all of which they're unqualified for?   What kind of quota is there, and how are you paid?   Does ALL your work count toward the quota, or do you find yourself doing a lot of work that doesn't qualify?

I realize this is much to answer.    Please feel free to add anything else you'd like that would help me make a choice.  Thank you!

Webmedx bought TransHealth, but it appears
they are still 2 separate companies for now, still using both names.  Webmedx had a couple of ads posted this week or last that said they paid QA hourly, but I don't know their rate.  I hated it from day one there but I was an MT.  I don' know how it is on the QA end, though several or us complained about QA because we never got feedback and work was bypassing QA and going directly to the client.  They have overhired MTs, but have severely underhired QA.
I do know Webmedx bought TransHealth a couple of months ago. nm

Anyone currently working Webmedx/Transhealth radiology would care to share info on them - sm
Are all of the dictators ESL as in the test on the website?  If you sign on as a radiology MT are you still allowed a 12-hour window.  Has workload been fairly consistent? Any info would be greatly appreciated.  I took the test and would like some info before I am contacted.  TIA.
Any info on TransSolutions? Searched, but nothing. nm

Spheris? Webmedx?
Anyone,  need input..Which is better, Spheris or WebMedX?
WebMedX/Spheris?
WebMedX or Spheris?  Both seem about the same with what they have to offer.
Spheris vs Webmedx - HELP

Has anyone ever worked for both Spheris and Webmedx and if so, is it truly easier to get a better line count at Webmedx?  The benefits sound better, but the line rate is a little lower.  Any help appreciated.  THANKS!

1 = MQ 2= Spheris 3=Webmedx
nm
Spheris and Webmedx
They both require a deposit that is taken out of your first few checks, and you must keep the box to return the computer when you leave the company.  Don't know if either of them is hiring right now though.
Spheris/Webmedx
Close associate used to work for them. Very dissatisfied she moved on to Webmedx where things are even worse. I don't know that any of these companies are worth working for.
Transcend,Spheris,MDI-Fl, Webmedx have nothing on MQ. sm
MQ platform rulesssssssssss
Having worked for Spheris before, I'd vote for Webmedx.
I tried to get on with them, but I was working three part-time IC jobs at the time so I couldn't get their test files completed on time.  I got maybe two hours of sleep three nights in a row because I had so much work dumped on me.  Blown chance!  I wish I'd blown off the IC jobs and finished the test instead.  The test reports were easy enough for me to do.  I asked for an extension on the test due date, but never heard back from them.  I understand their need for TAT, but they have to realize that it's tough to squeeze testing into an already overloaded schedule.  I'd much rather work one steady job than three IC contracts.
Spheris is #2 and other biggies are Transcend, Webmedx, SPi

MedQuist, Spheris or WebMedX for Radiology? sm

Please, anyone who works for or has worked for one (or more) of the these companies transcribing Radiology provide some input.  How are the accounts, the pay, schedule flexibility, benefits, etc?  You can email me, if you prefer.

Thanks  :->

Who's best all around company; Transolutions, Spheris, Webmedx,Transtech?
nm
I left EDiX/Spheris after 8 years there to come to Webmedx. SM
I moved over here in 2003 because I knew the recruiter and she told me it was a great place to work. She was right. The benefits are fair, the work plentiful, the bosses fantastic, and the QA staff wonderful. Good luck!
Yeah she's happy. She was a recruiter for Spheris, now for Webmedx.
nm
I still feel like a team player of Spheris, as the shackle scars are still on my legs! Spheris was

Micromanaged to the microsecond, or ms!  Horrible. And part of a team?  Total opposite - part of a team as in prison.

Don't imply you're worried at all. Just stating fact that Spheris does NOT allow a Spheris MT
work concurrently for MQ - no exceptions.  MQ, on the other hand, does not have the same feelings as Spheris.  Just all I had to say so that MTs aren't misled into thinking they can do the same "legally". Even went to the ropes on this issue with Spheris, as I was professional as well, and wouldn't share info, etc. The point they raised was that MQ is their direct #1 competition, and if I was typing for MQ and doing great work, that was in direct conflict of interest with Spheris' best interests.  Guess which one I obviously stuck with!!
Thank you, Spheris recruiter! Anybody wanna place a bet that there are lots of Spheris
HELP WANTED ads on the job board?? So funny!! Out of the blue, Spheris, we love you!! Lets all run and apply NOW!!
I also know Spheris would fire you if they knew you worked for MQ. That is a BIG NO with Spheris!
nm
What is Webmedx FL? Webmedx itself is located in Pittsburgh & Atlanta. nm

Spheris - any spheris employees out there care to s/m
comment on the new Cornerstone platform, good, bad? Will we all be going to SR on this? Thanks.
Transhealth LLC
Any good or bad on this company?  Appreciate any info.
Transhealth
I worked for them for a month and a half.  Very regimental about scheduling and time off.  My dad had cancer and I took 3 days off to be with him and they griped.  Also, very big brother.  If you don't get up to speed within a week, they limit how many reports you can type to 10 a day (no matter what the length of report, long or short) until you get up to speed with quality and quantity.  You work the schedule they want with no variations and if you are not in the chair when they think you should be will get e-mail from them asking where you are (even if it is something like you need to be in the bathroom a little longer because you don't feel well).  Very particular on QA (as should be) and always checking on you.  Go very strictly by AAMT book of Style and expect you to know it.  will even send you a copy.  Insurance is Blue Cross/Blue Shield out of Tennessee.  They offer full benefit package of medical/dental/vision and do take out taxes.  Dental is Delta Dental.  The account they had me on out of east Tennessee was a hospital account that had a lot of very thick foreign dialects.  I was not happy with them because I needed more flexible scheduling and they are set and that is it.  If they tell you you work 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., you better have your butt in that chair the entire time between then.  Another fact that my brother later pointed out to me is that they are an LLC company which is limited liability corporation, so if they close their doors for any reason, they are by law not liable to pay you anything of back wages and you just lose if they owe you anything when they close the doors.  So, I am not real sure how long they have been around, but I think may be a young company of a few years, so that is something also to consider.  If you like acute care and hospital dictation they have a lot of it.  Not sure if all of their hospitals are like the one I had with a lot of foreigners, but that is the one they gave me.  The day supervisor Kristin that I was training with to start with was very nice but I did not care for the evening supervisor, Teresa, who I thought was very harsh and like working under a drill sargent.  So, that is what I can tell you.  I am not trying to influence you only stating the facts as I know them from my experience with them.  Someone else may have a different view than mine, but this is all the information I can give you.
TransHealth
Thanks for the recommendation on TransHealth. I am specifically looking for a company who pays both headers and spaces so will check them out. So far I have been told by the companies who do not pay for headers that everything loads right in - NOT! Between looking for correct data or verifying what is automatically loaded in, I just feel it is a lot of time I am not getting paid for. Thanks again!

TransHealth

Is there anybody out there who worked for TransHealth, quit, and then went back?  How did it go?

What is TransHealth's Rad pay?...

A whopping 8cpl like everyone else?

TransHealth Rad Pay- sm
When I was hired back in June, it was 8 cpl, and I trained for HALF a day...they have the most horrible system for radiology, although they rave about how great it is. I never saw such a cumbersome system just to get into the report took about 5 minutes. No wonder they offer 8 cpl. I quit after a few hours of that. Look elsewhere if you want to make any kind of decent production.
TransHealth
TransHealth-Any info appreciated as I am considering taking employment with them.
Don't know about TransHealth but...
If your main account is a teaching hospital with long reports being paid by line would probably be a good thing - if its not a teaching hospital with mainly short reports it would probably NOT be a good thing. I'd make sure I knew what kind of a hospital it was B4 being paid by line or not...
TransHealth
I was also offered a Radiology job by TransHealth but am afraid to give up my hourly job.  What do you think?
TransHealth is the one. NM

Transhealth

Full-time:  work a 40-hour week or average 12,500 lines per pay period.  Part-time:  work <40 hours a week with a minimum of 6,000 lines per pay period.  Pay periods are 1st through the 15th and 16th to the end of the month.  Hope this helps.

Transhealth

I was told they expect 150-175 lines per hour.  Their Policy, Procedures, and Benefits Handbood says 40-hour week OR average 12,500 lines per pay period.  Part-time is a minimum line requirement of 6,000 lines per pay period.  I just started with them and, yes, I have a set schedule, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day.

Yes, definitely at TransHealth. nm

TransHealth
I believe TransHealth had an ad recently indicating they would pay 10 for experienced MTs, but it might have been for those willing to do heavy ESL dictators. Check them out, I tested and have to call them back today as they called yesterday and left a message. Seem pretty good and I believe I read mostly favorable comments on them here. Others paying that high are IC.
TransHealth
You can do M-F with rotating weekends.
TransHealth
You are right, the company I am talking about is TransHealth.  I also started there a few weeks ago and am having a hard time hitting line count due to the constant low work volumes on the accounts I have been placed on.  Talk about frustrating!  The staff is very nice, however, they are disorganized.
I had a very bad exp with TransHealth
A certain lady was very rude and locked me out of work when I had a medical emergency, even though they knew the situation. Awful place to work.
Actually it was Transhealth! nm
