TransTech still very low on work? No posts lately.

Don't know if the grass is going to be any greener over there if there is no work, as previous posts suggest.  Can anyone provide an update on that situation?  Sounded pretty dire.

See thread a couple of posts below about TransTech. Very positive.

Well I don't work for Transtech and this discussion isn't about Transtech...
and that is not age discrimination....give me a break...
That is a BIG problem at TransTech is leads assigning work, rather than letting the work flow
This TT MT just admitted to that fact.  It has been very obvious, as so easy to tell how work comes into our que and then gets pulled out as fast as it came in and replaced with YUKKY dictators.   VERY frustrating to us other TT MT's who take the JUNK that is NOT assigned to other MT's, such as this poster.
There is NO work at Transtech. Maybe they just choose special people to send work to

NO WORK at Transtech -- did no good to work the holiday for 1.5 lines, did it?
I am sure the office staff will share their PAID HOLIDAY MONIES with us who sit here with no work.  This has gotten to be such a frustrating profession.  I guess I need to relocate to Houston so that I can work in the office, too, and reap those wonderful paid benefits that us at-home piecemeal workers do not get.

After reading all the posts about MQ and no work,
nationals.   Almost every single large national that I know of has benefits tied to production and a clause in their contract that they cannot be held accountable if there is no work.  Doesn't it make it convenient for them not to have to pay insurance benefits if THEY overhire and there is consistently not enough work to go around? This is the same thing that happened at Transcend.  After all, how much does it really cost the company to overhire when all they have to do is supply the computers, which are a business expense write-off anyway?
Did you not read all the posts about no work, that if

you had bills to pay this wasn't the job you would want?

I have. The company I work for now posts when
they have openings, but I was hired before they started posting.  I'm going on 6 years now with this company.   I have also received 2 other offers from smaller companies that don't post.
Are the posts below - running out of work at KS (sm)
seems lately this has been happening a lot - and I thought they did not do that at KS - any input from MT.
After seeing all of the no work posts here, I'd think they probably got a lot of angry sm
emails, calls, etc.  I used to work for them and thought they were a great company, but even a couple of years ago, the work would dry up and you had to work a 24-hour day practically to get all of your lines in.  I still have an email from D that told me to work extra but not write it down on my time sheet.  I'm tempted sometimes to show it to the labor board and see what they have to say about it.  Probably not worth my time and effort … just a funny thought sometimes.  I have moved on and the more I read lately with the VR and all that, it seems that was a good thing.  For those still there, I hope things turn around.  Good luck.
Old posts said easy to work for, but your pay would never go over 7 or 8 cpl depending on

Look 4 posts down regarding nosedive in work at MedScribe....
I don't work there so I don't know what's going on. I just remembered the post 4 down from yours inquiring about an apparent nosedive in workload.

Old posts say they're nasty and run out of work often. And they don't want you earning too muc
s
Check thru the recent posts here that have them running out of work. nm
s
Old posts also say your pay is docked if client is unhappy with your work. No thanks. nm
s
Look at previous posts here. It's said to be a terrible place to work! nm
s
Posts from 2005 said it was a very "unstable" place to work for
s
Posts from the last 2 yrs said not a good place to work. Lots of MTs
s
Thanks. In the older posts, it looks like people were running out of work a lot...SM
Is this still the case? These posts are mostly from 2005 and 2006, so they are really old. Are the flexible with scheduling? Do they pay on time and treat their MTs well? I just want to know before I even think about applying! Thanks!
I ditto these 2 posts. Plus, on a personal/work level (sm)
All of that aside, when it comes down to doing the real work, many old and new MTs at MQ experience multiple accounts with multiple client profiles to read which cuts down on productivity. Even if you get 15 cents a line it doesn't matter if you have to waste time reading CPs and never becoming familiar with one account. JMO also.
Old posts say the owner is nasty and they run out of work all the time. Don't like workaholic
s
Old posts show they want 1200 lpd and that the work load was very uneven. nm

Very neg. posts about TH - running out of work, getting nasty when you don't make your lines. TC

Posts from 2/2006 said they were running out of work. They use MTWorld software. nm

huh? are you saying why not work at transtech? sm
Been there, done that and don't want to again due to the amt of ESLs Transtech had.  i couldn't make good $ with so many different ESLs that i couldn't get used to them.  so are you saying Probity is equivalent to transtech in ESL regard?
TransTech - what are they like to work for? s/m

Are you expected to produce a certain amount of lines per pay period?

Do they pay on time?

I have been offered a position but would like to know more about the company before I decide whether or not to take things any further.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

For those of you who work at TransTech doing VR, do you like it there? NM

How is TransTech to work for? ...sm
I got a job offer from Transtech Medical.  Its sounds pretty good.  I was wondering what the opinion was of present MTs with TransTech, how they are to work with, communication, platform, line counts, etc.???  Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Never did, never will work for TransTech...
See my post reply above
At least Transtech allows you to work whenever you want.

Don't tell me! You used to work for Transtech!

I didn't take the posts as trashing the company, just people venting about no work. sm
I used to work for TT, and yes, they are wonderful people -- very caring and supportive -- but in order to get my lines in, I had to be VERY flexible, working on my days off, during times I wasn't scheduled, etc., and it gets old pretty quickly.  I personally didn't care for the e-mails calling me sweetie or telling me you rock, but that's just me.  I just want to be paid well and have plentiful work.  I do not know if they just overhire or what happens, but I finally left because I couldn't stand the feast or famine work flow there.
Does Transtech hire to work on VR?
I am so SICK of VR I'm jumping ship.
I work for TransTech and am very happy there. sm

Work is plentiful, the pay is okay (there is a nice incentive tier), the benefits are good, and the management staff is terrific.

Good luck.  I have ended up with jobs I hated, and that is definitely an unhappy place to be in.

I'm at Transtech & have plenty of work

Does TransTech have plenty of work? (sm)
Is there ever overtime offered?
Are all of TransTech's accounts out of work?

For the Transtech folks who run out of work

There is plenty of work at Transtech.  You may have to get out of your comfort zone but we have bonuses now for at least one account.  We have plenty of work.  If you're looking for a good company don't delay applying and if you do work here and run out of work check with your supervisor.  No I'm not a recruiter but I am happy with TT.

I don't work for Transtech but I'd suggest that sm
if you are so unhappy there, find another company. There are LOTS out there, where you might be able to find a better fit. You are not stuck at this place if it doesn't suit you.

Take care and please have a safe and happy holiday season.
I work at Transtech and love it

Same verse over and over again -- NO WORK at TransTech

Mgmt who are taking home VERY GOOD paychecks and never varying, othan than going UP AND UP with your frequent raises, bennies, etc., and you leads/sups who are transcribing our work, would you please share your paychecks with us !!!!!

I had much rather have work than to be called, sweetie, honey -- you MT's ROCK.  Sure we do, we keep your paychecks the same allow you the ability to give raises to YOURSELVES. !!!!   SAD STORY TT has turned out to be.

Anyone work on the oncology account at Transtech?
Saw ad and curious what the account and the company was like.  Thanks.
Doesn't sound like the Transtech I work for...NM

Any other TransTech people out of work this morning? sm
After the big hiring blitz, I am afraid that maybe my account is getting saturated.  I guess that is the way with all good things ... it doesn't last.
I dont work for TransTech, but I have noticed that too. nm
