Very happy at Medware the past year

I enjoy my accounts and have work.  The best things I like about Medware are my team leader who is very professional and understanding, and the regular paydays which are direct deposit.  Those were two things I did not have with my last service.  Medware has been a good company to work for.  Good luck to you.

I worked for Medware in the past, and
at first it was great!  They were advertising for ER which was what I wanted, but when I applied they said no ER so I was given Acute Care.  The first few months were great.  I was in hog heaven.  Then overnight things changed and I had nothing but the worst ESLs and my pay went downhill big time!!  I tried to get things resolved, so no luck.  Otherwise it was great.  Easy platform, good communication, etc.  If you are lucky enough to get and KEEP good accounts, then it is great!
Happy New Year. May we all have happy home lives (sm)
and do whatever it takes to make our work lives work for us too.
I currently do all Ops at home, over the past year
been offered at least 6 positions doing Ops at home.
MedScribe for the past year
Started almost one year ago and have enjoyed everyone there.  Stay in work, like my super and pay is every other Friday, direct deposit and on-time.  I also have their Aetna healthcare, it is a good plan and affordable.  HTH.
Getting on my nerves too.Until this past year

I was never out of work for so long (4 weeks). I  can't survive this way, yet I'm going to hang in there as I feel they are still one of hte best companies to work for, and I can take the good with the bvad up to a point, but it is getting a bit thin $-wise.

I need somethin to supplement my income during this dry period, so I''ve been looking for something NOT MT, as I'm not as fast as I used to be at MT'g.

Update on MedWare 401(k) issues in the past (SM)
I had previously posted about MW withholding salary at my request and never depositing that money in my 401(k) account.  I reported to Dept. of Labor and the investigation is now being finalized.  Got a call today from Labor saying MW added interest to 401(k) accounts because they had been late in making deposits, and from now on will made deposits in a timely manner after salary has been withheld.  She said they will be monitored and if they do not, criminal charges will be filed.  So for all of you with 401(k) accounts, you may want to keep a close eye on your statements, deposits, etc.
You couldn't have said it better. That is exactly how I feel and have for the past year. (nm)

I've been happy for the past 2 years
No problems at all for me, and only getting better now with our annual raise (I know it's small, but it is something), holiday pay, more PTO, etc.
In the past year and half, I have always been paid on time. --nm

I agree. This past year has been terrible with MQ. Never enough work, crappy dictators, no pay for

weekends and holidays anymore etc etc I guess with all their legal woes we are paying for it and then have to have few blanks and 98% QA on dictators I have never even heard of. A joke to be sure and no matter how good the new pay plan is or they allow everyone a window to work then everyone will be working all hours to get lines for incentive which they probably never will. MQ is losing a lot of MTs and I expect that will continue. They seem to just keep pushing and pushing and it almost seems like they want people to leave so it really makes you wonder what is going on here. They really just dont care.

Concerned about the low work at WebMedx over the past few weeks. Typical for this time of year?
I've not been through a summer with them before. My main account, which always had plenty of work and occasional overtime, has been low for well over a month now. I have 2 backup accounts that are low as well. In fact, all my STM's accounts are very low volume. In all the years I've transcribed, I've never had this problem in August. It worries me more perhaps since I'm ex-MQ and consistent low work was a signal of a major downhill turn for that company. Thanks.
I have been at Medware for a year
Very happy, plenty of work and direct deposit every 2 weeks.  My team leader is helpful and very professional, a change from where I was at previously.  I have their insurance for myself and kids, it is with United.  Overall I am happy, good pay and I don't run out of work.  Good luck to you.
I have been with Medware for over a year
They are very nice people to work with and I get my lines every week, I am on Merit.  They also use EXText.  I like my team leader and the account I am on.  Not sure if that will help you as previously I was with MQ, but Medware has been wonderful.
I have been with Medware for over a year
Very happy from the start.  It's shift work, but you can pretty much request what works for you and the team leader makes the decision, mine is pretty cool and I like working for her.  I also like direct deposit as previously I had to wait for checks in the mail.  Hope that helps and good luck to you.
I have been with Medware for 1 year
and have been very happy.  Pay is good and yes, you get paid for normals.  I also have their insurance plan and think it is quite fair, it's United Healthcare and I had that plan with a previous employer and like it very much.  They also pay an incentive bonus for 12000 every 2 weeks and that is what I do.  Hope this helps but I have been quite pleased, they seem to care and I like my team leader, she is easy to get in touch with and will work with me when something comes up.
Medware for almost a year
Yes, they do PT for at least 20 hours a week.  I am on EXText but I know they also use their own software called Merit.  I am an employee with benefits but started PT for about a month to see how I liked it, and then I went FT.  They are a nice place to work, the people are very professional and they always do the little things to make you feel like you are a part of the team.  Hope that helps.
One year at Medware
They have been good to work for, I started part time and then went full time.  I haven't heard of Phoenix so I can't help you there.  Good luck to you.  I think we started a new clinic so you may want to call, but Medware pays on time and I always have work so I have been quite happy.
I have been with Medware for 1 year
Pay is always on time (direct deposit) and the people there are really nice.  They use EXText software but also have their own.  I have a flex schedule so ask them about that, benefits are good and not too expensive.  I am happy to be with them and hope that they keep growing, I see where they just signed a new hospital group and are hiring MTs.
Happy at Medware
I started about 1 year ago and have been very happy.  Work is consistent, pay is direct deposit and the benefits are affordable.  They recently got a new hospital and it must be a big one because I have seen postings where they have openings.  Just my 2c, but it has been a big change in the right direction from my last national.
I am happy with Medware
Started about 1 year ago.  I like the system, my team leader is very responsive and supportive and I like getting my pay on time, especially with direct deposit.  I have been very happy with Medware.  Good luck to you.
Very happy at Medware. (sm)
They have a super training team. Everyone is so helpful and very nice! Pay is always on time every other Friday!! So far I have no complaints. OT is offered often!!

I am sure I have found my home.
Have been happy at Medware
Started over a year ago, I am on their Merit system which is very easy to learn.  I have a primary hospital account and a surgery center for a back up, and I enjoy both.  I like my team leader and also like having my pay arrive by direct deposit, a big change from my previous company.  I hear they now have work available using Dictaphone software, so maybe you should ask about that too.  Good luck to you.
Very happy at Medware (sm)
I am on their Merit platform and it is very MT friendly. They also have accounts using Dictaphone ExText which I have used before, but my preference now is Merit.
Happy at Medware
I have been with Medware for over a year and have been happy.  Good system, direct deposit and I like my team leader who is fair and really seems to care what goes on every day.  Hope that helps.
Very happy at Medware
I have been with them for over 1 year and have been happy.  I like the system and there is always work, plus my team leader is nice, so that helps.  Good luck to you.  I too came from MQ.
Why I am happy with Medware.
First of all, I am an Editor and am very happy with my account and my supervisor is wonderful. I am paid hourly and get lots of OT. My check is direct deposited every other Friday. Everyone I have come in contact with have been very professional and there are some great people at Medware.

You are trained, and then left alone to do your job. There is always somebody available to help when you need it. They do not call, send e-mails, etc. demanding you to work.

Probably the reason they were voted employee of the year is because they treat their employees well and with respect.

They do not put unqualified people in supervisory and management positions.

They do not put stressful demands on their employees.

I left OSi for Medware and have been totally happy about my decision. I left a horribly run company for a company that I will more than likely retire from
I have been very happy with Medware

Started almost 2 years ago and from the start I have enjoyed the people and my accounts.  I am on the Merit system and training went well, they use direct deposit and I also have their insurance (United).  Good change from where I was at (MQ).  Good luck to you.

I have been very happy with Medware
I have been with Medware for over a year and they have been a good decision.  I like my account and always have work.  I do have a schedule but that is nothing new for me.  Pay is direct deposit and that is a huge plus from my old service.  I have their insurance and it is very affordable.  Last, but the best part, my team leader is very personable, professional and I feel like she will always be there for me.  She's kind of cool for a supervisor.  They have been a good choice for me.  Good luck to you.
Very happy with Medware. (sm)
I would be happy to answer any of your questions if you would like to email me.
Very happy at Medware
I started almost a year ago and they have been a good company to work for.  Their software is easy to learn and I have always have work.  I was looking for more consistent pay too, and Medware pays every 2 weeks with direct deposit.  Don't know about the shift pay but I do make the incentive and also have their insurance (United) and it is a pretty good plan.  They have been a good decision for me. Hope that helps.
Happy at Medware
I started 2 years ago, like my account and the Merit system.  I needed insurance for my kids and they use United Healthcare and I really like them, I had that provider before Medware.  Cost is not too bad but all family insurance is too expensive if you ask me.  Medware pays their fair share I guess.  All in all I left the big guys to work for Medware and no complaints.  Lots of work even over the holidays.
Very happy at Medware
Medware has been great to work for, they are a big change over my previous service.  I like my team leader and have plenty of work.  Hope to stay with them a long time.  Best to you.
Very happy with Medware
I started at Medware 2 years ago and have been very happy.  The work is always there and I like my team leader and pretty much anyone I have been in contact with.  Insurance (full coverage with United Healthcare) for me is $17 per week.  I also like the direct deposit which is a big plus from where I came from, chasing checks and looking for the mailman was no fun.  I heard Medware is starting some new hospitals, they were hiring alot of MTs a few weeks ago, maybe they still have some positions.  Good luck to you, hope that helps.
I am happy at Medware
I have been with Medware for two years.  My team leader is very professional and really seems to care about me.  Everyone from training to tech support has been nice.  My benefits are from United and cost $17 per week, I have paid vacation and I really like having direct deposit, something I did not have where I previously worked.  Work has always been there, it was a little slow just before Christmas last year on my account but they gave me some other work that was just fine for a few weeks.  It is shift work but they let you set your schedule and there is some flexibility during the day to get other things done.  I'm happy to be with Medware, hope that helps.
Happy at Medware
Plenty of work and DD every other Friday.  Very happy and I really like my team leader, that is a big change from my previous company.
I am also VERY happy with Medware...nm

I started at Medware 1 year ago
They have been a good company to work for.  I have plenty of work in my primary account, and have gone to my secondary on occasion.  I like my team leader and also having direct deposit, something that is way better than the checks I used to wait forever on at my old service.  Medware may not be for everyone but I have enjoyed everyone from tech support to training to my team leader.
I started at Medware 1 year ago
They are a good company and have work.  I started out PT as I worked out my notice and then went full time.  They have accounts that use EXText and I love that software, easy to make a good line count.  I like being paid by direct deposit and the health insurance is about $17 a week, so that seemed affordable to me.  Good luck to you.
I think so. I have been there for a year and am very happy. nm

Happy New Year!
Hi There,

I can help you get set-up for Meditech and I am very sorry for your delay. If you want to e-mail me back and give me your information, I will make sure you get help. If you do not want to give me your name, I will just make sure we have no one waiting for IDs. While we sometimes have to wait a while for IDs, that is just not acceptable for you to have to wait extremely long

I will fix this for you. Welcome to Transcend; don't be discouraged, we are a good company and you will be happy with your choice.

Sue

Medware people seem happy sm
but I guess it depends on what status you are looking for.
Started 1 year ago, very happy
I enjoy my account and my team leader is very nice.  The benefits are affordable, they use United Healthcare, and pay is every other Friday by direct deposit.  The software is easy to learn and use and my Expander was compatible.  Hope that may help, good luck to you.
Thanks for all of your insight!! Happy New Year!!

Not at all. I'm very gleefully happy NOT working at Medware.
My company rocks! Just because I don't like Big Brother breathing down my throat and overwhelming me with unimportant distractions makes me unhappy? Uh, don't quit your day job.
Happy current Medware employee - sm
I have been with Medware for a while and I find that the communication  is great, I have great team leads, and have no complaints.   I am very happy at Medware!
How is it that in less than 1 year Medware goes from the best company to work for to the worst?

Let's hope AAMT does a better job of picking the next company of the year!

If you had asked this a year ago, I might have said that I was not happy and actually started sm
to look for another job. I have seen really big changes in a lot of areas since then, the biggest one being communication. I would not even consider leaving now. I have been with them for almost 3 years.
I haven't worked there in close to a year now, but I was very happy while I was there. nm
:)
my first year I made 16k. Doubled that second year. Going on year 6 with (sm)

two local accounts I earned 23,000.00 and a national I earned 35,400... 58,400 this year.  Don't ask me how many hours, though, I really have no idea.  I'm pretty motivated.  (When people ask me how many hours I work a week I reply as many as it takes  I'd say 40-50/week.  I am also a fitness instructer and personal trainer, about 5 hours a week or so.  Decent money (sometimes under the table!) but mostly I just do it for fun and to be social and wear cute work-out clothes.

that first year was a rough one... but I consider it part of my education.

I'm pretty motivated.

Last year, there was a letter sent that told us what we earned the previous year. sm
In the past, it has been all or nothing; if you did not hit the lines for full time for the year, you did not get PTO. I talked to my lead this morning about a last-minute vacation and she told me that the yearly packets are going out in a week or so and that the new policy will acrue PTO by the pay period or month. I like that a lot better, but she also made it sound like they are upping the amount of lines needed to acrue PTO. I normally get between 15 and 20,000 lines per pay period, so I am sure that will be fine but I am worried about the periods that have lower volumes, like most of January every year.
Webmedx lets you carry them from year to year sm
You can accrue up to 140 hours (I think) before you stop the accrual process. Don't have to use it all in one year.
